I think having something like a joint force would be quite convenient, where each nation pitches in a little bit to help build a peacekeeping force, we set a standard ammunition, assault rifle, uniform, etc.

This is true, PMCs are extremely unreliable in most cases, their usually a bunch of trigger happy hotheads. Though I do recognize the point Harbertia is trying to make.
