In a swift movement she knocked the balde from his hands. "Is that right? You work for the pope?" She said mockingly, though a smile failed to make it across her pale face. "Believing in a false deity and prophet? And that you could remove all of the evils from the world? What fools you and that pope are for believing such jargon." She removed herself from him but before he could respond she kicked him hard in the temple sending him away from her a couple of feet. She moved toward him. "Let me tell you something, that just because we are predators to you does not make us monsters." She then pulled him up to his feet and then in one fluid movement slammed her fist into his chest so hard he went flying backward several feet. "Now go back to your little pope and tell him that no matter how hard he may try, he can never erase evil!"

Johanna merely laughed at him and watched as he fled from her. After he disappeared in the snow and ice she turned back and went to the werewolf. Now she was beginning to feel the brunt of her weakness, having used up what blood she had in tackling that human, perhaps she shouldve just watched while the one with sword that had been marked by the Zymphrians took care of the Zealot. She swayed a bit as she walked but had so far prevented herself from falling then stood by Apseon as he conversed with the humans.

"hmm...you seemed to have scarred that guy! but why didn't you just feed on him a wee bit?" Riesha asked this as she couldn't understand why this "noble" vampire would just let this guy run back to his little friends and tell then exactly where to come to find them. Reisha also was remembering that this smugness is why she abandoned the clan life."Um...I do believe we need to head for some form of shelter from the day that seems to be arriving in oh about 1 hour!"

"Not all humans are to be fed on, little sister, but even then I probably should have..." Johanna said then looked up at the sky, it had gone from completely black to very dark shade of deep blue. "It seems as though you have a point..."

"I robbed it off another male Vampire supposedly of your clan after we had sexual engagements after both dining on a family of four. I tied him up as a tease the next morning before sunrise and put him in bondage tied to an iron post out in the middle of a field. Then that night i went out to where i had tied up my sexual partner and saw that there was a pile of ashes. That my fellow matron is how I came across the sword in more ways then one. This man also had an expensive set of jewelry he had been traveling with as I am also wearing it too. I still remember the 7 years we traveled together...awwhh."

OOC: Sorry, I had to go out.

"Throw down your weapons and identify yourself."
Tage Drops the falchion to the ground, and the others drop their weapons as well. He put his hands on his head, away from his bow and knife, just in time to see another figure pop out fromt he snow and aproach the wolf-man and Vampire. "Tage Shadow, of the Shuu-auie Village, 1 hour from here. We came to get our horses, they had escaped." He says, his Nadir accent lying just below the suface. He looked over the riders. "We mean no harm, but the horses smelt blood, and though we should investigate."

Just as he spoke, the first vampire lady blured out of reality and appeared on the far dune, attacking an unknown figure. It was short, naturally, before the figure on the ground got up and rode away. The vampires were talking looking up at the sky. He looked towards the riders, still sorounding his friends, "Ah... my village is not far, can I get you anything?"

OOC: considering my village (I think) is the only one with in a hours ride, I think you came from there.

ooc: The Rakugosha are nomads and have set up their encampment nearby (a few minutes ride) and as such have a number of riders patrolling the surrounding area in case of attack.

As the kids dropped their weapons the riders lowered their bows, but still kept the arrows on the bow strings. As the front most boy asked if he could get them anything the rider who had been aiming an arrow at him replied "What does you village produce?" The voice was no-where near as sharp as it had been earlier, and seemed almost friendly.

Apseon nodded and repeated each vampires name as they offered them before turning his attention to the snow. He was busy looking through the snow for the sword that had injured Johanna and did not notice the bolt that was intercepted by Johanna and the brief scuffle that followed. However just as he found the sword he turned to the others and saw the two vampires talking, although he had been too focused on finding the sword to remember what they had said. As his eyes focused on Johanna he scowled for a moment before shifting into a look of concern. She was swaying slightly, she must have pushed herself. His face suddenly winced as he touched the hilt of the sword, grabbing silver hurt. Releasing the hilt he instead gripped it by the blade and, as the blade cut lightly into his skin he smiled. The blade itself wasn't silver which meant it was just the same as any normal sword to him. Gripping the blade slightly he addressed Johanna. "The Rakugosha encampment is nearby, and we have shelters that can protect you from the sun. Also, assuming you can control yourself and not kill someone you are feeding on, someone would probably be willing to share some blood with you to heal those burns." He pointed at the burn on her chest. "Plus a chance to get that outfit washed and most of the blood cleaned off it." He than turned to Reisha before continuing "The same offer applies to you." He paused for a moment and his friendly face dropped to reveal a face lined with rage "Although if either of you cause trouble for us I will personally rip you in half."

Tage thought for a moment and saw the wolf-man pick up a sword, drop it, then pick it up again and speak to the vampires. He caught wift of, "... Rakugosha Encampment... nearby..." before the wind drowned the rest out. He turned to the man on the horse, "We have a lot of dried meat, a bit fresh for sale... ah... these horses," he indicates to the herd, "Ale, wine, or Uisge... Wheat and the such... vegetables. Its a large-ish village, and we've found some fertile ground - but I think harvest in the summer might be a bit weak, so I don't know." The wind picks up and the horses begin the bray. Tage yells out in Nadir to Samual; "Grab them, and rein them!"
"Alright..." starts Sam before pointing behind Tage, "Snowstorm... better hurry back home, it looks bad."
"We wont make it" Yells Kuril from the far side of the herd.
Tage nods and turns to the rider, "I fear we have a snowstorm aproaching. Our Shaman said so, but we got caught up hear we forgot. May we shelter with you for a while. We can give you something when we get back to my village afterwards. I don --" he was cut off by a ferocious blast of wind.

As the wind picked up the Rakugosha riders placed their arrows back into quivers and pulled woolen hoods and veils up, covering their face from the chill. The rider who had spoken considered. "That should be fine, however I will have to confirm it with our chief Apseon. Collect your things and prepare to ride." With that he turned around and rode towards Apseon and the two women, who as he got closer he identified as vampires. "Apseon there is a snowstorm coming and a bunch of kids who were trying to recover some horses who escaped are to far away from their village to make it back in time. I offered to let them stay with us until the storm passes, and afterwards their village might be willing to trade for some more supplies."

As one of his riders approached Apseon turned to face him. As the rider spoke he listened quietly until he had finished before responding. "Of course they can stay. Give them a hand herding those horses and take them straight back to the encampment. We'll be along as soon as these two decide what they are going to do. The rider nodded and turned his horse around before riding back towards the kids. Apseon turned back to the two vampires, "Well with a snowstorm coming that is going to make finding your way anywhere difficult, plus you will have no warning as to how long you have until sunrise. Do you want to stay with us for a time or not?"

"That should be fine, however I will have to confirm it with our chief Apseon. Collect your things and prepare to ride." said the rider as he turned and went to the chief. Tage grabbed his weapon from the ground and sheathed it and walked over to his friends, "Make ready to ride" he said in Nadir, as they too grabbed their weapons and mounted their horses. They rounded up their horses and did what they could to keep them together. They waited for the order to ride.

OOC:
I'll be sleeping. If you guys ride, just say that mine follow and etc. RP what you need to do, but please don't kill them.

As the rider reached the children he saw that they had recovered their weapons, had moujnted and were trying to keep their herd of horses together. With a sharp whistle the other three Rakugosha riders moved to help them herd the horses and the first rider rode next to the boy he had been speaking with. "Apseon says its ok for you to stay in our encampment, at least until the snowstorm passes. Name's Veron Kishlik." With that he took the lead, and the others fell in behind him in a loose circle around the unridden horses.

After a few minutes riding, in which the snow storm had started to set in they came across a series of thick woolen tents. The Rakugosha encampment. As they entered it Veron sounded another sharp whistle, and in response a dozen men and women come out of the nearby tents, dressed in thick furs. Seeing the horses they moved to guide them to a very large tent that served as a stable for the horses.

Once the horses were safe in the stable tent Veron gestured to the children to follow him into another large tent. Stepping inside the double layer of wool that formed the tent walls suddenly the world seemed a lot warmer, and most of the chill from outside faded away. Inside the tent was mostly empty, the only decorations was the furs coating the floor. Veron said "Wait here" before stepping back out of the tent.

After a few minutes Veron re-entered the tent, followed by a few other Rakugosha, all carrying bedrolls made of fur. Once they were placed on the ground all except for a women left the tent. She pulled her hood back and droped her veil, revealing a kind face that seemed to radiate joy. "My names Irina Hira. Pleasure to meet you all." The two Rakugosha spent the next few minutes rolling out the furs in a variety of spots scattered around the tent, and once they were all settled down slipped into two bedrolls of their own.

As the Rakugosha encampment settled down into sleep the snowstorm built up around them, unnoticed by the tribesfolk sheltering behind thick double layed woolen tents.

Nova Lisa couldn't sleep that night, and when day broke, she decided to go for a walk. She went around the city, wandering aimlessly, until she found a man looking for help. She said "Do you need help, sir?" He turned to face her, looked her up and down, and said "I guess you'd do. I have a small problem. I need to get a letter to the other side of the city, but I myself can't right now. Could you bring it? I'd pay you well, for its a expensive package that goes with the letter." She thought for a moment, and finally nodded and took the things. He told her that this is is shop and he would be their when she got back, so she went to the other side.

As she got to the other side of town, she found the address that was on the note. She pounded on the door, until it finally popped open, in front of a small, weak man. The man said "I am Jaxon. What business do you have here?" She held up the package, and the man went inside for a second. He came out with a small pouch, and said "Thank you, miss. Give this to shop man. Have a good day." He took the package then ran inside, locking the door behind him.

When she finally got back to the shop, she handed the package to the man, and said "I believe you owe me some money." He smiled and gave her half of what was in the package, around 500 Nuy (Think thats the currency). She bowed, and went back to her inn room. When she arrived, she gathered all of her things. She left the room and bought some food from the inn man, asnd went outside. She found her horse, and tied everything to her saddle. She mounted her horse, and but it in a sprint. As she got out of the city gates, she sensed something back in the city that was slowly becoming smaller. She knew what it was, but couldn't name it. So, she just rode out into the desert.

"It seems like the best option right at the moment..." She said slowly, eying the sword suspiciously. "Seeing as I am not in the best of conditions to be traveling." Her gaze then averted its from the sword to her person. Her tunic and cloak had been torn open in the front, the back she imagined was just as worse. She'd probably need a new set of clothes after this. Johanna sighed in annoyance.

She then looked back up at the other two her face went blank and hollow just as it had before. "Well?"

There was the smell of alcohol on the wind. That in itself wasn’t that exceptional, as soldiers in general were known to be heavy drinkers if they could get away with it. What made it exceptional was that the small convoy was on the move and they couldn’t afford to have any drunks with them, as it would probably mean that they would be left behind. And the mercenary band was low on men, low on most things.
Blackthorne sighed to himself as the smell of spirits hit him. He knew exactly where it was coming from, and the thought depressed him. He spurred his shaggy horse forward to the head of the tiny column, where the leader of the band was riding his horse, noticeably slumping in his saddle. He turned as he heard his second in command pull up. Blackthorne had tried to convince himself that the boss drank to dull the bite of the wind, but he knew it was because the boss was a broken man. He’d been a powerful magnate at one point, able to do as he damned well wished, but had crossed too many on his way up, who had plotted his downfall. When it’d inevitably happened, the man had taken his few remaining retainers with him and started a mercenary band. The good times had lasted as long as when Blackthorne had first joined up, but then everything had gone downhill after an especially hard winter, which had taken most of the horses, leaving the heavy cavalry élite without their best weapon. From there, it’d been a downward spiral, to where they were now, slogging throw heavy snow at the arse-end of nowhere.

He got his horse to match the pace of the boss’s and Blackthorne looked him over. The man was obviously worse for drink, and didn’t care who saw it. Compared to the iron-willed man who’d been more than happy to burn entire towns just because someone in them had displeased him, it was a poor show. The man had been known as “the Wolf” – amongst other, less flattering names - but in a land where real wolf-men walked, what did that mean?

“Sir, we probably ought to stop. All we’re doing right now is getting ourselves even more lost.”

The boss spat, or at least tried to. The wind whipped the trail of spittle into his beard. “We’re on the right track.”

Blackthorne looked around. All he could see was white. The rest of the column could barely be seen anymore. The last thing he wanted was to get separated from the rest of them. There were monsters abroad, and Blackthorne doubted that he’d be able to swing his sword well enough in the freezing weather to kill any of those leeches in man-form or slavering werewolves. He shivered, not just because of the cold, and wished they weren’t real. And that he still had any faith left. Too many battlefields had robbed him of that.
The boss suddenly grinned and waved a canteen in front of Blackthorne’s nose. The raw alcoholic stink made his eyes water, but he took a pull anyway. It was cold and the fiery warmth of the booze, no matter how fleeting, was welcome. When he finished coughing, he turned back towards his boss.
“What’s the cause for celebration?”

“The smell... smoke... horses. I think we may be in luck.”

The other mercenary took his word for it. Blackthorne couldn’t smell anything and dared not pull his scarf from across his nose for any length of time, just in case it froze and fell off. Still, if the boss was happy, then he was happy, primarily because it might well mean a way to get out of the snow.
The above post may or may not be serious.

As Riesha spoke Apseon muttered. "I think I can guess why you were exiled." With that he shook his head and grabbed the strange blade in two hands and effortlessly snapped it in half before letting the two peices drop to the ground, where it was covered in snow after a few seconds. It could have been a very useful weapon, but Apseon felt the image presented to the older vampire would be much better than the sword itself. "That way" Apseon pointed in the direction the horses had headed off into, but suddenly the whole world became white. Grabbing the arms of the two vampires to ensure they did not get lost Apseon started walking, simply pulling the vampires along with him as he did if they did not keep up. If either of them fell he would have to carry them.

Despite the blindness caused by the snowstorm Apseon was more than capable of moving in a straight line, and since he was already facing the direction of the camp it would be a simple matter for him to guide, or in some cases pull, the two vampires to it.

Johanna had been taken by surprise when the wolf grabbed her arm and started hauling her and the scantily-clad one along, however her face did not show it and she understood his actions considering the condition of weather. She felt it hard to walk for she'd used up what energy she had left in scaring off that human. She almost fell once but caught herself by putting her foot out in front of her and burying it in the snow. They'd all paused while she regained her composure and continued.

It seemed like an age of wandering around in the white until they had finally reached it. At first, Johanna hadnt been able to make out the encampment, it just seemed to be a cluster of snow covered trees but upon closer inspection she could see the white sides of tents. Very well hidden it was and she was quite impressed.
