Wasteland (IC CLOSED)

Postby Heaven Hieghts » Sat Oct 31, 2009 9:13 pm

The snow had been bad this year and snow storms were almost constant out in this part of Kyr. Though this hadn’t deterred her from traveling at all, nothing really ever had. Not that she liked traveling through a blistering storm on foot, she just felt that staying in one place would be good for her.

The snow came down in large gobs of ice crystals and blanket everything around her. No that there was much to blanket, it was just flat land out here. Not a single object could be seen. This land was always covered with snow the ground couldn’t ever be seen not even in summer, unless you dug of course. She sighed, nothing ever really changed out here in the Kyr. At least in the Zye and some parts of the south the snow melted and one could tell that there was a slight change in the seasons. But here it was just less snow and less snow and no in between. Either way, this was still home to her.

The wind whirled around her, wiping her cloak about. The cold stung her face as she walked on through the thick snow half dazed. She’d heading south, to the port of Monouska for the rest of the land, save for in and around the Zye, was rife with war and she had spent two thousand years of her life participating in such things and no longer had any interest of getting caught up in them again.

Johanna had known what was down in Monouska and the southern coast, the Zymphrians had taken control of that entire area. For that she was proud of them though in the back of her head knew they were capable of much more than that. Rurik in his time had taught them well, though now she could only hope their new leader could lead them to greatness and victory as Rurik had forty years ago. She’d heard they’d been in the midst of a civil war soon after she’d left but now she been hearing they were under control of a vampire by the name of Lonlan Spara. Johanna could remember him, and quite clearly too. Young but brilliant he was, he’d also been one of Rurik’s children, and not unlike Johanna he’d been stronger than the usual fledgling. The power of Rurik’s blood she’d assumed. She supposed that on average he was of good age, but to her he was a mere child considering she was one thousand and eight hundred some odd years older than him. Perhaps she’d see him again when she reached Monouska, though she had no intention of staying.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of hooves beating down on the snow. She looked up to see several men on horses had circled around her.

“Well looky here! Looks like another foolish one strayed into the desert!” The one in front of her called out in a mock slang that could be considered Currousian. She though him to disgrace the beautiful language with such disgusting jargon. Without a thought, her hand slid down to the hilt of her Makhaira and the other to her belt where many daggers sat in their fixed sheaths.

Another one called out behind her in a cooing sort of yell, though she didn’t turn just kept her gaze fixed straight ahead of her. The expression on her face went from totally blank to something menacingly predatory.

Suddenly she heard something cutting through the air she moved out of its path so fast their human eyes couldn’t register and she had seemingly disappeared for moment then appeared next to the horsemen to the right. She heard him draw his sword and he swung at her but before he could complete that swing her Makhaira seemingly appeared in her hand and she struck him down, slashing his throat. The smell of his blood was intoxicating and it had almost driven her into a frenzy but she gained control over herself quickly. Johanna then shot over to the next horsemen who, like the other one, had drawn his sword as was attempting a swing. With her eyes flashing red, she swung, chopping off his horse’s head and as it fell she cut his arm off and finally his head.

Johanna then straightened herself as she heard one of them charging, jumped in the other direction and when he went past her cut his horse’s leg in half. It cried out and collapsed and the man jumped off and approached her brandishing a sword. She then disappeared right before his eyes and appeared behind him. Johanna clamped down on his head and slit his throat then buried her face in the slash she had made, unable to control herself any longer having not fed a quite awhile. She fed quickly, but not quickly enough for she suddenly felt a severe burning in her back. Johanna tore away from the man and shrieked, clawing at her back before moving forward and feeling something slide out of her flesh. The pain was so great it made tears form in her eyes she then turned to see the horsemen who had been in front of her in beginning was now off of his horse and was engaging her.

He came at her quickly, quick for a human anyway, and swung striking her blade as she blocked it. The blade itself had been unlike anything else she’d seen before, it gave off a bright light purple glow that hurt her eyes to look at it, other than that it wasn’t really anything special. With her back burning, she felt herself weakening and it was becoming hard to focus. Goddamnit, she tried very hard to keep her mind straight but it was getting increasingly difficult as they continued with their sparring match. She was still quite a bit stronger than him however and quickly struck him down. As he fell, a gash across his chest and neck, she fell over him and sank her teeth into his flesh. As she started to drink that familiar burning sensation rose up in her chest near her heart. She made a small cry as his hand fell off of the blade and he closed his eyes as he died.

Johanna moved away from him about a foot and pulled the blade from her chest and threw it aside. She then fell forward as her sight suddenly became a dark grey tunnel that was getting darker and darker. The last bits of her mind began to fade away as she desperately tried to maintain her consciousness and get up, but failed. Her heart struggled to beat and her breathing became shallow as she slipped into forever lasting black hole that she feared she’d never come out of.

Sam look over the the wooden beam of the ship and saw that it was going to be a storm on the seas. Sam could hear the pope words over and over "I want you to go to this land and clean it of evil." It was like yesterday when he killed his first werewolf. The beast had him on the ground and was about to rip his skin off but sam push the button on his arm pads and the sivler spikes came out. As soon as they did he made a clean cut across the wolfs neck. That mission was over 3 years ago. This one might last for years till he clean this land of evil. The ship was now docking at port when he got back from cleaning his blade. "Ahh I can feel a evil around me" thought Sam. He pay for a horse and mounted it and rode off in the snow covered wasteland.

Somewhere in the wilderness at a random hut.
A knock on the door sounded. The owner of the hut walked up to the door and opened it. Nothing was there he looked out around the door to see if there was someone just standing to the side. Still no, so the man turned around and..."Hello, breakfast!" Reisha was standing there and stabbed the man of the hut. As the man on the end of her blade was beginning to die Reisha asked him, "Do you want to live sir?" "Kill me now I will not have myself become a monster like you!!" With that statement Reisha then devoured his soul and when she had sucked his corpse dry she cutoff his head to make sure that the man would receive his wish. Pitty, Its not really that bad being a vampire. In fact I wouldn't have it any other way. I thought surely this man would have the desire for more. Guess not. Reisha then decided to stay in the hut for the rest of the day. That night as promised she went and delivered the head of this man to her contractor. Here, my money please! The man with the money refused to pay her saying she was not worthy of human gold. Reisha then made the same movements on this man as she had done previously and asked him the same question. The man declined. Reisha then looted him and found her promised payment of 10,000 [whatever the currency is]

Nova Lisa was in her rented bed in an Inn, just on the outer layer of the city of Monouska, stirring in the night. She was dreaming of a man, with short, white hair, and a dark shroud surrounding him. She walked towards him, but as she moved, he just got father away. She ran after him, and in a whispered yell, she heard "NOVA." She woke in a sweat, and she rubbed her eye's, scanning the darkness of the room for the man she had seen. She swung her feet over the bed, and sat their, staring into the floor. She got up, and went to her window. She leaned on the sill, and watched the city. She saw churches, houses, and the occasional glimmer of light. She stared and stared, watching the city for anything to fill her mind. As she watched, she heard, a block or two away, a smash of a bottle and a small yell. She looked in the direction, and in the distance, saw a man dragging a dead body into a alley way. She gasped, and went into her wardrobe. She hastily got dressed, and donned her cloak. Her cloak had, on the inside, six little pouches to house throwing daggers, and on her thigh, was a blade. She ran out of the tavern and told the inn keeper she would be back. She followed the direction of the noise until she found the alley. She pressed her body against the wall, feeling the bitter cold. She heard the grumblings of a drunk man searching through pockets, and she entered the alley. She stepped on a piece of glass, and the man looked up. He stood, lazily, with a short sword drawn. He held it badly, as he was drunk. He said "Oi, you! Get out of here, bitch! This is none of your business!" She kept approaching, and when she was 5 yard away, she put a hand in her cloak, and grabbed a throwing dagger. The man lunged at her, and she threw the knife with pinpoint accuracy, landing straight in his head. He yelled a bit, and then fell. She went over to the body, crumpled and lifeless. She bent over it, and gave him a kiss on the cheek, and then consumed his blood. When she was finished, she moved the body behind a garbage bin, and returned to the inn, contemplating what she had just done.

As Apseon Viridia looked out into the night he caught a faint whiff of an all to familiar scent. Vampire. Looking back at the camp he considered. A vampire wandering around nearby could potentially be dangerous, and while the Rakugosha camp was concealed among the snow covered trees a vampire would have little trouble smelling or hearing them. He would have to go investigate. Sighing he moved off into the night, gesturing the sentries back as they moved to follow him on their horses. If Apseon couldn't defeat something he doubted the presence of two humans would be even vaguely helpful, and against a vampire they could very well be drained dry.

As he moved silently through the night he constantly sniffed the air. The vampire was wandering closer and closer, but suddenly he could smell new scents. Humans and horses, and as he paused and focused his mind on the scents he identified something that made his eyes flash with hatred. Holy Water. The only groups that carried it in large enough amounts to be noticeable from this distance were religious fanatics hunting down vampires, werewolves and dhampyr alike. Since the Rakugosha treated all those races as equals to humans Zealots were always trouble.

As he crested the last hill he heard the sound of metal on flesh, and as he watched he saw a female vampire take out three of the zealots, a quarter of their band within a matter of seconds. However in taking out the third she had tried to feed and Apseon winced. Bad tactical decision as the apparent leader attacked her from behind. Apseon watched as the two fought, but somehow the vampire seemed a lot slower than before, even though she had just fed. Even a holy water coated sword wouldn't have that sort of effect. Still motionless Apseon watched as she managed to kill the leader, but in doing so he managed to stab her near her heart with the sword, causing her to collapse on the ground.

As the rest of the Zealots recovered from their shock and started to move towards the collapsed vampire Apseon could watch no longer. Pushing off from the snow he roared in rage, having the double effect of drawing the zealots attention to himself and alerting the Rakugosha that something was wrong.

As Apseon landed over the vampires body the zealots, calling prayers to their god, charged. 8 human zealots armed with silver weapons fighting a single werewolf. As the first Zealot stepped into his reach he swayed to the side to avoid his strike before sweeping his hand in a light backhand that smashed across the humans skull. Even though Apseon put barely any force behind the strike it sent him flying into the snow and Apseon could hear the snapping as his body was smashed by the impact. The other humans hesitated, they had never seen a wolf in human form that powerful before. As they looked at each other in confusion Apseon went on the attack. Stepping towards two of the Zealots he smashed his fists into their ribs, and was rewarded with a crunch as the bones snapped like twigs before the bodies were sent flying away. As his ears picked up the sound of snow crunching behind him Apseon spun around just as a Zealot swung his sword at him. Easily dodging the hurried blow Apseon stepped closer and picked the human up and simply pulled him apart, releasing a torrent of blood as the man was ripped apart at the waist. Letting the two bodies drop he turned to the last three zealots, and smiled as he noticed that not only were they backing away. but a party of four riders were approaching the fight. Apseon took a single step forward and at that two of the Zealots panicked and tried to flee. As the final Zealot looked behind him at his fleeing comrades Apseon moved forward and grabbing his wrist holding his sword snapped it, causing the sword to drop into the snow. Picking the zealot up by his neck he carried the struggling human over to the vampire and held the neck in place in the vampires mouth as his other hand slowly closed her slack jaw around it. As blood flowed out of the human and into the vampire he relaxed his grip on the two and stood back as she finished drinking.

Reisha was traveling through the snow on the rich man's horse just wandering around with her cape coat drawn around her to conceal her true identity. From any potential strangers. She then noticed a group of men traveling on horseback as if they had saw a ghost. This intrigued her interest as she wanted to see what it was they were running from. Reisha made haste to see what was supposedly frightening them in the distance.

Johanna's eyes snapped open as the blood poured into her mouth and she slipped into a frenzy. Her thoughts were not clear however, until she finished. Upon doing so she released her jaws from the dead human's neck and pushed him away from her. Her wounds began to heal though doubted that she'd have enough blood in her system. She examined herself, there was a deep gash in her chest surrounded by black flesh, she began to wonder what sort of blade could do such a thing. Her gaze suddenly averted itself from the her burnt-but-slowly-healing torso to the wolf standing over her. Her dark eyes widened as she took him in, studying him carefully.

Still looking up with him with a now some what suspicious expression she said. "Who are you?"

Sam was riding to a small village when he came across a werewolf eating a dead human. Sam pulled out his kantna which was blessed by the pope him self and got off his horse to stab the werewolf. Then sam made a mistake by stepping on the horse's hoof and the werewolf turn around and luged toward sam. Thinking on his feet ,he put the sword above his head and let the werewolfs head slam into it. The sword cut throught the wolfs head and then sam brought it down and slicing the wolfs body in half. He had to get the match he had and had to burn the wolfs body and the human body. He had to do so their would be no trace of him and also because he didn't the human to become one. Sam got back on his horse and got on his way to the villiage. He thought to himself "ok that one now about a couple thousand more".

Reisha stepped off her the horse and slowly crept up to the edge of the clearing. She then saw what seemed like a werewolf fighting a few human zealots. Then the werewolf grabbed one of the human bodies and position the neck in front of a woman lying on the ground. "Hmm...a werewolf helping a Vampire?

The Horses moved far out over the Kyr, their pens gate left open by some children. A black and white horse was walking, his mates following him. He trudged over the white plain, the white-stuff-from-the-blue falling on his back. The yellow-sky-fire was hot... hot compared to yesterday when he and his herd were scattered. He looked back at the brown girl-horse and whinnied, She was heavy with his child. They wind changed and brought a new scent over to the herd, and they all whinnied and backed away. The smell of death was heavy in the air. Behind him the sounds of two-legs on their horses got louder.

-----------

Tage moved up on his shaggy horse following the Black-and-Whites tracks. He and his friends were sent out to see if any horses went to the Kyr, he found the BAW's distinctive chip in his front right shoe. He shivered and pulled his cloak around him and saw his friends were doing the same. It has been a bad winter he thought, thinking about the children that have died.
"Tage." says Kuril, ontop of his yellow horse.
"Yeah?"
"Listen." he replies, stopping his horse. Tages pulls on the reins and stops his horse, motioning for the others to stop to. The wind howled in his ears, he heard nothing.
"What is it?" he asks, before stopping himself. Some whinnying was carried on the edge of the wind. He drew his Falchion, "Come on." he says shrugging his shield from his back onto his arm and pushing his horse into a run. The horse sped off, and Tage lowered his body on it. After a few seconds he caught up with the herd, and slowed his horse to a halt. "Woah..." he says stroaking the horses neck as he dismounts. Moments later the rest of the gang had caught up, then a few of them dismounted, while the others drew their bows. Kuril walked to Baw and stroaked him, "Shh, boy, its ok. Whats out their, hmm?" With that he motions, and Tage and another boy, Huril, move forward towards a rocky outcrop.

Over the outcrop, in a clear area, there was carnage. Bodies littered the ground, too many for Tage to count.
"What the hell..." says Huril looking at the big man near a body. The big man looked like a wolf-man, and was doing somethign strange. while he was holding a man, and put the mans neck in a womans mouth. "What the hell..." agrees Tage as he moves down the outcrop and walkstowads the man, sheild on his back, and falchion above his head.

As the two Zealots tried to flee the sound of four bows firing filled the night and each went down with two arrows piecing their backs. The four Rakugosha riders who had answered Apseon's call looked around fora few seconds before riding towards him. However seeing a boy step over a hill they changed direction and galloped forward, one of them came to a stop several meters away and aimed his arrow calmly at the boys throat, while the other three rode over the hill to check for anyone else. Finding the others, and a herd of horses, they formed a spread out circle and came to a stop with arrows on bowstrings aimed at those carrying bows. "Throw down your weapons and identify yourself." The voice that spoke was cold and harsh and left no room for compromise or negotiation.

At the vampires words Apseon felt a small smile spread across his face. "Apseon Viridia of the Rakugosha tribe at your service." He made a short bow. As he rose standing his eyes glittered with amusement. "Just to get the obvious questions out of the way, Yes I am a werewolf, yes I do not like the company of my own kind and prefer humans, Dhampyr and vampires over them, " He raised his voice to a shout "And yes I can smell you hiding over there Ms Vampire. Perhaps it would be better if you came over here rather than hide in the shadows and watch." He offered his hand to the still prone female vampire. "Since you don't seem to be in any shape to reach shelter before sunrise would you care to stay with the Rakugosha for a time? Well assuming you can control yourself and treat humans, and Dhampyr as your equals of course."

Johanna took his hand and he pulled her up. When she got to feet she swayed a bit but quickly got her barrings.

She looked around spotting several other individuals around them. She then looked back at the wolf. He seemed friendly enough...

"So, I am assuming that is the tribe your apart of, right?" She said, eying carefully, head to toe. He looked quite powerful and aged, not unlike herself but didnt seem to be quite as old as she. When he nodded, her suspicious look faded and went to something blank, almost hollow. She surveyed the carnage around her, the corpses were freezing up and she'd be unable to feed of them, she kicked herself for letting a weak group of humans injure her like they did. But she wasnt to blame, she hadnt fed in quite awhile and she'd become frenzied but even then she knew she should have been able to control herself. Something an elder like herself should be able to control. She was sure that through the snow and ice, Rurik was frowning down on her for being such an idiot and that she knew better than that. She looked back up at Apseon. "Well, I suppose I dont have much of a choice now, do I?"

Riesha was shocked when she heard him reveal who he was..."a werewolf elder?" and the fact that she could be sensed by this creature. Reisha then walked out into the clearing and walked up to the werewolf and random bodies laying around. "Mabye...I can maybe I can't get along with these people but as you said I have no alternative." Reisha then went around to the remaining bodys that still pulsated small remains of life and non-contaminants and withdrew they're blood. "There that should hold me for awhile. So what's a fellow like you doing out here Mr. Wolfy?" Reisha asked as she strutted up to the werewolf and scratched him behind the ears in a tone as if he were a pet.

Sam arrive at the village and went to the local inn and got a room.He would stay here for tonight and come out the next day to hunt for any wolf and vampiers. "God bless this room" said sam as he enter the werid smelling room. He pick up his holy water and sprinkled it on his body and pick up his cross bow and put it aganist the wall and went to sleep. He only had a nap before the inn keeper busted in the room and said that he hear a wolfs howl. So Sam jumped up and grab his cross bow and jumped on his horse and rode to where the inn keeper heard the sound.

When the second female vampire called him Mr. Wolfy a brief flash of anger appeared in Apseon's eyes before he regained control. However when she moved to place her hand on his head Apseon's arm snapped out and gripped her wrist before she could touch him. "I'll forgive the name once, but if you treat me like the rest of my kind, like some common animal, again you will not get away without consequences." As he released her wrist he sighed. "My apologies for snapping at you, but I do not like being reminded of what I am. I can understand where you got the title from, and that is why I managed to hold my temper. But in the future please call me Apseon. Perhaps you two could share your names as well so I am not forced to simply assign a title to you?"
Songri deserves to be taken as seriously as a heart attack suffered while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory. Which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zepplin crashes into that bacon factory, all of us will be without bacon.

And that simply will not do.

98% of all internet users would cry if facebook broke down. If you are the 2% who would sit back and laugh, copy and paste this into your sig.

Following new legislation in Songri, the nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle.

Johanna studied the girl and her brows furrowed a bit in annoyance. "What an insolent whelp." She muttered lowly in well-spoken Latin in a harsh cold tone, but it was so quiet only she could hear.

She then turned her attention to the wolf. "You may call me Johanna." She said, in a tone that was neutral but a small bit of friendliness back-lined it.

"I am Reisha of pure stock and of 209 years. I have been wandering this wretched planet in search of something that i feel as if I've been missing but just don't know what it is Mr Wo..Asperon. As I too am also a rogue vampire a rebel if you will to the status quo. This blade here that I have used to be part of some vampire clan that I'm not familiar with. Would you happen to know what I'm looking for perhaps?" Reisha then saw on the other vampire a symbol similar to the one on her sword and began to chuckle. "Oh you... you're from this clan!" Reisha pointed to the symbol on her sword. "What is the name of this clan and the meaning of this seemingly important logo?"

Sam arrive at a snow dune and saw a wolf and two Vampires. Sam pulled out his cross bow and loaded a sivler bolt and took aim at the wolf. Sam thought before was about to shoot the wolf pulled out his holy water and sprinkled some on his two bolts next to him. Sam lined the wolf up and pulled the trigger and the bolt went flying. He missed the wolf by a inch and sam had to pulled out his sword becaused he knew that the wolf will be coming after him.

Reisha then caught one of the arrows with the blunt of her sword. "I do think we have some uninvited quester looking for a new fur coat! Asperon I'll leave him to you and Johana is it...I think you need to get to safety. I'll help you vacate the area as Asperon wished. Will you come now?"

Johanna looked down briefly at her sword before head snapped up at the sound of something slicing through the wind. Without a second thought she knocked out of the air after moving to block in nothing but what would be a blur to the other supernatural beings around her. It cut into her hand small bit but it wasnt much to worry about. She eyed the assailant on the dune and before engaging him she said in the powerful and booming voice of an Elder. "You, insolent whelp, are not worth knowing of such a clan." Then she took off, drawing her tow of her daggers and needles before throwing them at him.

"May god himself protect me"thought sam. He pulled out his holy water and sprinkled some on his sword just in case it got close . Daggers were flying over sam head that gave him some time to get the bolts he had put holywater on and load them in his crossbow. He ran across the dune and shot at the vampire.

"Hmm...you don't seem to be that wounded...Frenzy perhaps? All right time to play is it?" Reisha then sprout her killing stance and began to rush towards the person who shot the arrow in a zig-zag line as to be harder to hit. As she got closer she began to smell something...

Johanna dodged the bolts with ease as she bounded up to him. When she got to him about half a second later moving in a motion so fast he wouldnt be able to see her drew one of her daggers and smacked him hard in the temple so that he ended up on his back. She fell over him, pushing down on him so hard the force would cause him pain to ensure he wouldnt move and in a tone similar to the one she had adopted earlier she said, "Who are you and where are you from?!"
