Name: Lonlan Spara
Age: 243
Species: Vampire
Eye color: Gun-metal grey
Hair: Dark Auburn
Weight: 177
Height: 6'5"
Weaponry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Falca ... .N._Madrid)_01_vertical.jpg
But with a red hilt.
Black throwing daggers with red hilts.
Image

Fancy boot knife. :D
Attire: Usually wears red and white robes over a white tunic and pants. When in battle wears silver armor over a red and white tunic and pants. Also wears white gloves and boots.
Occupation: Leader of the Zymphrians
Bio: Lonlan was born into a wealthy family in the city of Bellihimi and lived a normal life there until the Siege by the Causastrovans, during which his his father and mother were killed and he was whisked away by the tribe as a slave. For most of his childhood he was a slave to them until the Zymphrians had defeated them in battle. After the battle Johanna found him chained to a tree and released him. After that he joined the Zymphrians with a chance at a new life.

A couple of years after, Rurik turned him and became one of his children just like Johanna. Rurik taught him to fight and defend himself and Johanna educated him in that ways of politics, mathematics, literacy and astrology as her father taught her.

Life was good for him until the death of Rurik and the Zymphrians soon plunged into civil war with the disappearance of Johanna. He had tried to convince her to stay but had failed for she soon fled for the desert. He suddenly found himself in the middle of a war he did not want to be part of but soon rose to power on the winning side. After everything had settled down and things were back in order, Lonlan had officially become leader.

Now, he is looking for Johanna and looking to strengthen the Zymphrians upon her return to them.

Okey, so to make this fair Im going to limit each RPer to two characters, kapeesh?

Right. I'm going to have to find someone to latch onto, otherwise my dudes'll be wondering around until they all freeze to death...

Freezing to death does sound fun ;) (Hey I found a smily that can imply sarcasm, yay)

Probably a good idea.

Choices seem to be either running into Ras' force as they try and build a home for themselves, or running into my force as we go to check on the The Shtuu-aiue village

Final option is running into the Knights of the Flaming Rose. As long as you have no werewolves or vampires they would accept you (assuming you showed enough piety)

Songri deserves to be taken as seriously as a heart attack suffered while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory. Which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zepplin crashes into that bacon factory, all of us will be without bacon.

And that simply will not do.

98% of all internet users would cry if facebook broke down. If you are the 2% who would sit back and laugh, copy and paste this into your sig.

Following new legislation in Songri, the nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle.

The Rakugosha have no interest on footsoldiers with the only exception being Apseon who is not only more effective on foot than mounted he is fast enough to be able to keep up. The Rakugosha fighting style is based of the mongol style (as are the weapons and equipment) so would consider foot soldiers more of a hinderance than helpful.

Death by horseis.

Anyway, just a heads up, Im sure I already said this but the Zymphrians have got control of a large chunk of the south from Monouska almost to Rondan. They're also not much of a clan for they have all sorts creatures amongst their ranks, though its under the control of vampires, like they're the government officials is how you would put it. They wont fuck with you if you dont fuck with them, unless they're trying to capture your city and I dont suggest deliberate hostile actions against them for they will swallow you whole.

I just decapitated a flee... That was pretty disturbing.

I can see a war developing between the Order of the Burning Rose (backed by the church and probably a bunch of other Knightly Orders) and the Zymphrians. With everyone (well except for Ras hiding up in the north) being caught in the middle.

Best way is a combination. Hence my crossbow horse-archers.

And also terrain. Terrain usually helps.

I would think in terms of resources (equipment, money, numbers) that the Order of the Burning Rose would have the advantage. With the Zymphrians knowing the land and understanding how to survive in it better. Skill about equal with the Vampire's of the Zympharian being individually more skillful, but the Dhampyr Knights equipmed with anti-vampire weapons are numourous enough to nutralize that advantage.

At the moment the Order is mostly holding in Bellihimi with small (for them) parties of Knights slowly expanding their influence and increasing their popularity among the commoners. As well as weed out all the small wolf packs and lone vamps that could prove irritating as a large force moves through.

Freakin' sinister, that is.

Those dhampirs remind me of the old Blood Dragons from Warhammer, essentially vampire knights riding around, trying to find the "best" enemies or carving out their own little vampiric lordships in places. But with skeletons and zombies and shit.

By increasing popularity they rely on preaching and deeds. If you were a common farmer who had been plauged by bandits, and had your livestock (possibly even a friend or member of family) butchered or eaten by werewolves.vampires, how would you react to a well disciplined column of soldiers led by awe inspiring knights who seem to have god blessed strength come in and bring th ebandits to justice and hunt down the werewolves and vampires that have plauged your family for generations. (While the Flaming Rose Knights don't deny that they are Dhampyr, they don't advertise it either, and since they almost always wear full plate very few people actually know what they are.)

If they then offered you a chance to escape the dull boring life as a farmer and join them on their quest to rid the world of monsters very few people decline the offer.

Another aspect is increasing the visibility. Getting people used to seeing Order knights and patrols around, and making people think they are safe when one is nearby.

The order are fanatics, but they rarly simply barge in and do somehting on their own. Instead they will try and convince the local population about what needs to be done, and only directly assist if they have to.

@Songri Keep in mind their is more variety of species in the Zymphrians than you may think, its not just vampires its humans, wolves and dhampyr too. Just about anyone whose willing to be loyal kick ass when needed.

And the Burning Rose Knights arn't trained to just kill vampires. It's just what they are best at. They have many tactics and techniques for dealing with werewolves, and even other Dhampyr as well.

Probably end up going all Teutonic Order and carving out their own little state. All though they're probably not the sons of nobles, so they may not have the same drive to do so. Certainly, in the hands of an ambitious person, the order would be a hell of a tool.

Considering this:
Silver Cross - Only if the one holding it believes in its power a Silver Cross 'repels' the vampire. This is a mental affect, but as a vampire gets closer they find their bodies slowed and their mind dulled. The stronger the faith of the person holding it the more powerful the affect.
Holy Water - Burns a Vampire on contact. Any injury caused by this is difficult to heal and can be potentially fatal
Ancient Holy Blade - These ancient artifacts are very powerful anti-vampire weapons, even a near miss burns them and if it cuts a vampires flesh it can cause very severe burns. ((These are UV light generating weapons, Heaven wanted them in so here they are))

Is this:
In a swift movement she knocked the balde from his hands. "Is that right? You work for the pope?" She said mockingly, though a smile failed to make it across her pale face. "Believing in a false deity and prophet? And that you could remove all of the evils from the world? What fools you and that pope are for believing such jargon."

not just bravado, since religious stuff obviously has some power in this universe, enough to play hell with vampires?

And does it have to be a silver cross? It's not like silver grows on trees, so wouldn't silver be more of an expensive commodity in this universe, as it actually has a use, more than just shiny, pretty metal? Well, especially since we're talking medieval tech, here.

And what level of steam-punk technology are we talking here? Do we get Steam horses?
