Bio: Nova was born to a unknown father and a mother whom she never met, but knew her first name was Kendra. She was orphaned at birth, and raised in an orphanage. After a while, she was forced to leave after attacking another child in the woods. She didn't know why she did it, but she knew she had to. She tried to keep herself from doing it, but she just needed to. So she tried to do jobs around the land that involved killing criminals, and people who wouldn't be missed in society. She didn't understand why she did, but she always left when she sensed a person who was similar to her entering an area. She did want to know what she was, but couldn't bear to ask. so she decided to wander, and not stay in one place to long.

Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong about something. Don't know to much about Vampires and myths.

Songri wrote:Dhampyr still need to feed, and still have the fangs of a vampire. The idea that a Dhampyr (or a wolf/vamp for that matter) does not know what they are is silly.

She might not know exactly what she is, but she would know that she is different to humans.

@Songri - No. Dhampyr (To some ledgends) don't need to feed, but if they do their powers are stronger. Also if they feed to much they lose the Day walking ability and become "Full" vampire - to a point. Some Dhampyr (To some ledgends) don't know what they are, although they have powers - eg: Faster than normal Humans, but slower than vamps. stronger than normal humans, weaker then vamps. Better eyesight than normal humans, worse than vamps. But they can walk in the daylight ("Day Walker" or "Day Walking"). At about normal human Adulthood (I think this would be 16-21ish) Dhampyr's have dreams about their father and eventully meet him, to kill him, or to be a pair. One thing is for certain they meet him. Also they have longlivity, don't die as easy, and stop aging at about 16-30yo (Thats appearance).

@Cean - Blood lust can account to your attacking thing...

Well, keep in mind we've got our own set of rules and such on dhampyr, vampires and werewolves which should be posted shortly.

Some information on Vampires, Dhampyr and Werewolves:

Vampires: Need to drink blood to survive, the less human they act the more blood they need to drink. As a vampire gets older and their muscles become saturated with blood they strengthen, as such age is a very important factor in determining the physical abilities of a Vampire. Vampires can potentially live forever and any vampire over 200 has the honorary title 'Elder'.

When a vampire does not drink enough blood, or when they are injured they get closer to entering a frenzy. A frenzy has two levels, the first makes them physically better, but their mind locks onto blood and will attack anything to get it. The second level occurs if they are either starved of blood or have suffered major wounds and their physical abilities rapidly drop and the effects of time (which vampires use blood to hold at bay) catch up. A vampire in this state suffers rapid muscle deterioration and their own body tries to consume itself.

Vampires are affected by: Sunlight - Instant Kill (or close enough)
Silver Cross - Only if the one holding it believes in its power a Silver Cross 'repels' the vampire. This is a mental affect, but as a vampire gets closer they find their bodies slowed and their mind dulled. The stronger the faith of the person holding it the more powerful the affect.
Holy Water - Burns a Vampire on contact. Any injury caused by this is difficult to heal and can be potentially fatal
Ancient Holy Blade - These ancient artifacts are very powerful anti-vampire weapons, even a near miss burns them and if it cuts a vampires flesh it can cause very severe burns. ((These are UV light generating weapons, Heaven wanted them in so here they are))
Impaled heart - Impaling a vampires heart completely paralyzes them, but as soon as the impaling item is removed the effect fades as if nothing had happened (apart from the injury caused via the impaling)
Decapitation - Fatal.

There are two types of vampires: Reborn and Pure-born. A Reborn vampire is a human who has drunk vampire blood, and as such was turned into a vampire. A Pure born is a Vampire that was conceived by two vampire parents. Pure-born are a lot stronger than a Reborn vampire.

Dhampyr: While they don't have any of the weaknesses of a Vampire they are no-where near as strong or fast. They still need to feed on human blood, as well as breathe, eat and drink human food to survive. Dhampyr live longer lives than normal humans, but are still mortal and will die of old age.

Werewolves: While werewolves do not need anything different to humans to survive they dislike the taste of plants and instead prefer meat. They can eat it either raw or cooked (in either form). In addition to this werewolves usually have very short tempers, angering a wolf is easy, and calming one is hard. If sufficiently angered (or under a full moon) a werewolf will shift forms into its wolf form. Werewolves have a very rapid regeneration and as this increases in speed as time passes they are practically immune to aging.

In both their forms wolves are weak to:
Silver: Causes intense pain and any contact with silver prevents a werewolf from regenerating any injury
Fire: Causes intense pain and any burn caused by fire is not affected by a werewolves enhanced regeneration. Instead it must be healed at the normal human rate.

Roight.

I'm thinking I should post my village, but I wont be in control of it... too much. Anyone can be the Khan if they post a sign up with his name.

Name: Shtuu-aiue Village (ShhToo-Aye Vil-age)
Size: ~170 people
Leader: Urie Khan
Territory: Small area that has the Kyr 2 days ride to the west and 1 days ride south with The Zye half a days ride to the east. And 3 days ride north.
Species: Human, although than shadowry family on the corner don't really come out during the day... and there is a excessive amount of howling during the full moon... But mostly Human
History:
The Shtuu-aiue (Shh-too Aye), a Nadir tribe, lived on the stepps up until 50 years ago - nomads with nowhere to go, but hte whole world open. A merchant, Urie Shadow, from the city of Monouska traveled around the area, often trading with the Shtu-aiu. The current Khan of the Shtuu-aiue, Jurtes Khan, was shown how to grow crops. The Shtuu-aiue settled down in the small area that has the Kyr 2 days to the west and 1 day south with The Zye half a day to the east. With in 10 years, great crops grew, and this, being one of few furtile areas in Currouse, a small tribe of Yurts grew to a small village.

I think it might be a good idea to offer Bonnaful a chance to change his actions. As it is he is probably going to die, even if it was just against Apseon. Factor in the two vampires (and a tribe of humans who probably have more warriors coming) and the odds are kinda stacked against him.

Yeah... I'd say he better get his running shoes on or he's going to get his ass handed to him in a nice little gift box with cute pink bow on top. Johanna's not in a very good mood right at the moment so she's not going to comply or be very kind...

Do not assume that just because one character suggests a course of action that others will go along with it unless they say otherwise. Also your character cannot teleport. How a human reaches town, reads a book and returns to his original location in the time it takes two vampires to have a short conversation is beyond me.

To anyone who has a human character. Remember that night time is dark and you will need a light source to see clearly. Vamps, wolves, Dhampyr have night vision, humans do not.

Unless you have a significant force backing you up do NOT attack or threaten Apseon, he will kill you for it. I would assume that this would also apply to Johanna when she recovers from her blood deprivation and injuries.

Using purfume will stop a vampire from smelling you, and a werewolf from identifying you. But a vampire can still hear your heart beat and your breathing, and a werewolf will still be able to smell something.

And if anyone is interested in the capabilities of the supernaturals (vampes, wolves and Dhampyr) that are being used here a good thread to read is We Own The Night

The idea of dudes wearing late covered in pitch is really cool.

Mmmm... I hadnt thought about that for I do not know much about medieval tech in the western side of world. Im eastern oriented.

But then I fall into the camp that likes the western-style stuff. But then we've had this conversation before :P

But I'd assume that both are knocking about. Nomad tribes always look cooler if they've got an Oriental twist. 'cos Mongols look bad-ass.

Name: Justin Blackthorne

Age: 32

Species: Human

Eye color: Brown

Hair: Brown

Weight: 189 pounds

Height 5’ 11”

Weaponry Warhammer, two-and-a-half-hander, dagger

Attire: Thick greatcoat over a padded jerkin, as well as brown hose and thick leather boots. For combat, he wears cobbled-together array of plate armour, ranging from an expensive sallet helm to cheap gauntlets, mostly taken from the dead. However, it is time-consuming to put on and will usually be on if Blackthorne is expecting battle. The armour itself is covered in pitch to both act as weatherproofing and to make the armour look more fearsome.

Occupation: Mercenary

Bio: Justin Blackthorne was born into a well-to-do family, attaining enough education through his town’s small school to become a low-level clerk, earning enough money to live above subsistence level and avoid hard physical labour. Considering the hard times in which the world is in, this would have been above and beyond what most people would have asked for. However, Blackthorne found life boring. There was not enough adventure for a teenager in filling out ledgers for a living. As soon as he summoned up enough courage, he ran away to join a mercenary band.

He rapidly learnt that being a mercenary wasn’t one long adventure. Hard slogs across unforgiving terrain, followed by battles and the chance of injury and death, followed by more marching. The company he was with was small and had to occasionally resort to banditry to get together enough money or provisions to eat. The shine quickly fell off, but the opportunity to leave never really presented itself. Now, fourteen years later, he has found himself the second-in-command of the mercenary band, partly though education, but mainly through sheer attrition. The band itself has been whittled away over the years, leaving just two score of billmen and roughly two dozen mounted crossbowmen.
