Immediately, the boy's ears turned bright red as his head snapped back toward Lucis. "No!" William sputtered, throwing his hands up in defense. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Will gulped for a moment, as his eyes trailed over toward the slave for the briefest of moments before they found their way back to her master. No, what Lucis suggested was preposterous, for a number of reasons. He hadn't even spoken to her, really. Yes, he found Camelia pretty, but in an unconventional way. It wasn't earth-shattering beauty; no poet would dare compare it to the rising moon or anything of the like. Perhaps it was that she was foreign and just simply so different than other people he had known. She was just so different from how he pictured a slave to behave and she was far more defiant than how servants in Alarya behaved. All together, he found her quite ambiguous, and that just drew him in even more. But he didn't know why. With a sigh, Will's shoulder's slumped, unable to explain it. But he was not saying what Lucis thought. He was not.

Besides, he was only eleven and to top that she a slave. Something told him that even the mere idea of it would set everyone against him, and he hadn't even been in the country a day. William chewed on the inside of his cheek for a moment with a shrug to the others, unsure what to say to change their minds. The little boy's ears were still beet red as he found looking from each member of the group, avoiding Camelia as he held his head up confidently shoving the feeling of embarrassment to the back of his mind.

"Let's just get to the weapons shop, shall we?"

Osman stood, listening to Lucis judge him. He was right. It wasn't completely because he wanted to hone and maintain his skills. It was partly because he lived in the fight. He fed of the thrill of clashing metal and the feeling of pure adrenaline flowing though his veins. He had been raised in the battlefield, and was at home in it. Whether Lucis was right about a desire to prove himself better, however, he did not know. Osman was unused to having peers who knew more or less than him in battle. If his mind urged him to prove himself, then it was a feeling he had not had before. There had never been something he needed to prove.

He put the thought in the back of his head, to ponder for later.

And Will was right about Camelia. There was something... different. And it as something he could not ignore. He was...curious.
But for now, he had to respond to Lucis. He would have to control himself, knowing Lucis was half a fifth of a man in body and spirit. His mind simply could not compute the entirety of human individuality and desire.

"If you don't wish I spar with her, you may simply refuse me, instead of attempting to make me seem like a childish braggart. I simply wanted a chance to practice. She is a trained assassin. A good challenge for simple hand to hand at the Academy Arena. Besides. Both you and me would get the chance to evaluate her in the arena. You don't have to make this more difficult." said Osman, in a monotone, controlled voice.

Osman glanced at Will, looking at him inquisitively. He had turned red, mysteriously. Why? And how? In all of his life, he had never seen a man get so red. He was flustered, displaying some sense of embarrassment, as if he failed a commanders task.

"If you want to spar, I will fight you Osman." Said Rohit, as he suddenly emerged directly behind him. "Wow, nobody noticed. Wonderful." he thought to himself. Unbeknownst to the others, Rohit had slipped off out of the market. Outside he had bumped into a young woman, causing her to spill the packages she carried. Apologizing, he helped her gather her belongings. However, if anyone took the time to notice, they would have seen that the woman carried a new package, inside of which was a little black box. Rohit too, had something new. A small device that looked like a cellphone. Turning back, Rohit rejoined the group. "Osman, I am trained in hand to hand combat in the form of Kalaripayattu. I think you will find that we could have a good time sparring."

"I would never," said Camelia, "Refuse a gnoble meeting of blades. It is heavily engrained in the Vakolicci culture, I'll fight you any time you wish, Osman. Only one problem, I don't have a sword at the moment, or the money to get one. Before we fight, I'll have to get fitted for a sword."

Without a moments hesitation, Camelia's beautiful face turned to look pointedly at Will, and broke into a smile. "Did you want something? I couldn't escape noticing that you seemed to be looking at me for the past half an hour."

"Oh, I doubt it," Camelia responded. "I've not had a decent fight for 2 months, their is a reason for that, can you guess what it is? Also, I prefer to seriously injur someone instead of killing them, so they have to live in pain, needing help to do anything for the rest of their lives. Unless they're a decent mouthpiece, of course. However, I've only actually killed 5 or 6 in propper duals with a blade."

Osman smiled. Finally. Something FUN...
"It would be an honor to me and my blade to fight both of you, in single combat, once we reach a suitable place, and we are well equipped. Unless of course, you wish to conduct a match of the fists."
Osman was excited. He was missing the thrill of battle, and his long journey here had made nothing better.

Lucs laughed at Will, "Of course not. Just be careful on how you direct yourself." He sighed, shaking his head, And now everyone rushes to fight her...... I should keep an I eye this. Iwant to see how they do. Lucis turned to Camelia, "I'll use a portion of the money that I acquired to provide you with the gear of you choice. It wwould be of no use to have a pe- erm person flouding about with weapons they are unused to. After all a corpse can't really protect anyone." He surveyed all potential combatants, "So I guess a tourney is in order. Won't this be a fun little activity?"

"If it's a fencing tournament you're after," Liam said, "I'm game. I'd expect the whole city would be game for a fencing tournament, non-lethal of course."

Liam surveyed the group. lots of boys and one girl, and the girl in a rather compremising position. This situation wasn't going to end well, especially if his idiot friend got involved.
And hear he was, pleasant as ever from the back. "It would be my honour to battle any one of you with the blade or the fists. It is a custom in our culture to settle disputes of honour with the blade, and we must keep our practice and confidence up with a bit of good-natured sparring every so often."

Laura's group

"It'd be better if we all kept together," Laura responded. "And judging from the other cars parked up, we're the last group to get in."
She opened the door and walked out, loosening her gun in its holster. "Are you coming? As I said, it's free for you, we're depleting the royal treasury. It's a shopping trip on unlimited money! Their's no laws about how you treat them short of actually killing them, so you can't worry about any abuse legislation. Also, you've seen the academies food suply for yourselves: it's hardly as if you're going to have to buy it food."

"Come on, that'll never work," Blacksen said to Andreas. "You've got to be harsh if you want to get a Vakolicci to be obedient. Breaking their spirit can be impossible, some provinces have been conquered and still the occupying soldiers were bloody scared. I'm sure you'll learn the subtleties of control in your time though."

Will was getting stranger by the second and seemed to have some strange admiration for the foreigner and a crush on the slave. The foreigner was continuing his posturing and the robot... was being strange like he always is. Vladim was almost regretting being here but he had to remember his mission "so you sing to speak and yet you all love to fight, you resist being captured and yet you walk naked on the streets? I'll never figure your people out."

Andreas had heard Blacksen's advice and he decided to put it to good use. Andreas grabbed his slave, but he remained so struck by her beauty that he once again stumbled with his words. "Slave, I order me to tell you my name." The slave just laughed at him, defiantly. Andreas was furious. We wouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior out of any woman back home, much less a slave. Andreas decided to give her one last chance and this time he didn't stumble with his words. "TELL ME YOUR NAME THIS INSTANT OR I'LL BEAT IT OUT OF YOU." The slave recognized that she had pushed him too far and she finally spoke to him...

At Liam's words, Will's head shot up. "Fencing?" He asked, a spark igniting in his eyes, the embarrassment forgotten for the moment. William knew how to fence. But still, he hesitated to volunteer. There was doubt in his mind that the others would want to spar with him. Perhaps it was for the best. The only one he had really sparred with was his mentor, and Will wasn't stupid enough to be unaware that his mother's cousin always went easy on him, or at least Will assumed so. The thought of him fencing or doing anything with swordplay had always made his mother nervous whether she was around or not. Something told him that if he were to try to go against these vigilantes the results could be very different. Something told William that he would be rather useless in combat.

As Vladmin and Jean-Luc began to argue about the Vakolic language, he turned to them with another interested spark in his eyes. Still he kept his mouth shut, still unsure about both of them. They seemed angry, like they wanted to prove they were better than the other. Or at least that was what Will thought at the moment. Better to keep his mouth shut.

It just seems odd that a people who are so focused on war sing to speak, in Woodstovia singing is seen as a fairly feminine thing to do but I suppose if your people want to sing... although it must sound strange when a few people are talking at once." Vladim glanced at Will still unsure of what to think about the young boy.

"Not really, just sounds like the end of a musical.
You're not likely to here that much Vakolicci here, you'll get a lot of celerian which is quite a gutteral language, but Vakolicci in this province is an easy way to get identified as a threat."

"Your Empire doesn't sound so stable, infighting within the royal family, terrorists and some provinces hate the others" Vladim smirked "and when Blacksen gets the throne it'll be worse and you'll be locked in a civil war. Hopefully the king takes his sweet time dying."

"Bu-" a single gunshot can be heard in the distance and Vladim's ears prick up, he jumps to the side and a man standing near where he once was falls to the floor in a pool of blood. Loud shouts can be heard and presumably the man with the gun is restrained. Vladim meanwhile begins franticly looking around before clearing his throat and continuing. "Yes but his ideas are too radical, he seeks to tear down the foundations of your nation and rebuild them according to his own ideas."
