Blacksen's car

Blacksen was frustrated. After turning the hideous sound of the montenegran satanic death metal, or whatever it was, off, he had put on a political talk show whose main theme was how aweful the royal family really was. Changing it, he found another talk show that liked to denounce religion, which he listened too for around 10 minutes, before deciding that it was only a matter of time before andreas decided that it was blasphemous or something, and turned that over.

After cycling through more random stations, he decided to browse manually. He looked for stations in this area, and put on a rock and metal station which wasn't playing, a static-ridden jaz station, before finally settling on a classic rock station which actually worked.
Bereathing a sigh of relief, he said "I'm going to have to write myself a note. By better radio, urgent."

As he said this, he caught sight of the building proudly boasting its massive Vakolicci flag. "Wow," he said. "How the hell is that flag still up. You're stupid to display that in Celeria. Well, this is the Nuumari slaves corporation, if that's what you want.
And it looks like l...is she following me around!" he started talking quietly, but began to shout.
"Yes!" Laura could be heard from the next car.
"Ah, just checking," shouted Blacksen.

The young boy broke out into a slight smile as the words that poured out of Liam's mouth danced across the air gently. Ever so carefully, the young boy put down his heavy bag with a grunt, leaning against it as he eyed Liam as if slightly puzzled.

"But what do you have for your music, I mean if you have it at all? Is it just the same?"

"Oh, this is good," Liam said.
"Get this one. To speak, we sing in Vakolicci. To sing, we sing in English, which is 10 times harder to sing in. That, of course, makes perfect sense."
Eying Will's bag, Liam said "Do you want some help with that bag? It looks rather cumbersome."

Red tinted Will's cheeks as immediately, the young boy he turned around to pick up the bag. "No, I'm fine." He said a little too quickly, adjusting it ever so slightly, although it made him lose his balance for only the briefest of moments. "Thank you, milord. I think I can handle it. I've been carrying it since my mentor and I separated ways. It's not as heavy as it looks, honestly."

He then turned back to Liam with another small smile as he thought about the interesting language, but chose to say no more on the subject. Truth be told, William was getting rather tired. His long journey had taken a lot out of him. The young boy's feet felt sluggish and his head was beginning to ache. It was a lot to ask on his eleven year old body.

Still, Will wanted to press on. Mainly because these people were the only way of his getting to the academy but also the fact that he wanted to see more of the country. The weapons were especially interesting, as Will wasn't very accustomed to being around them in general as most of the interesting and powerful ones were kept in the armory in the Royal Tower back in Nydia. Already he had seen so many things that had been interesting, interesting people too. It made him want to press on without complaint, precautions be damned.

"So how do we get to this weapons market? What are your weapons even like here?"

The only markets we've got are for food and cheep stuff."

They remove all the really harmful stuff from them, you know, the stuff you read about in scare stories? I refuse to smoke aeroplane fuel, or nail varnish remover."

Will's eyebrow arched once again. Were things really that different in Vakolic, that someone would offer a child--yes, he was admitting it, but just this once--a cigarette, whether or not it was harmful? In Alarya, it was unheard of. The young boy crossed his arms, faltering slightly from the weight of his bag as he stared up at Liam in disbelief. There was a sense of uncertainty in the air as Will wondered to himself if they actually knew his age, and if knowing so would alter their decision. Were things really like this in this culture? There were so many things that Will was going to have to get used to.

This looks like the slave market. Do any of you want to buy anything from here?" Subconsciously, she glanced at Amyka on the last part of her sentence.

Jason looked out the window and examined the slave district as Laura slowed down to switch from the GPS to manual. The district greatly contrasted from the luxurious Academy and his home country. "Lucis is probably having so much fun right now" Jason said in a joking manner. He turned back to Laura when she asked the question "Nothing really, just wanted to see the place. Amyka, Tito?"

"Nothing" Amyka replied. "Slaves have no motivation to work or to live. Why would you want to employ one as a servant?"

Luicis followed Liam over to Will and Osman, motioning for Camelia to do the same, "I knew we wouldn't get far without a guide." He turned his head to look a Liam, "A singing launguage? Seems interesting." When Liam began singing Lucis clapped his hands over his ears until he had stopped. He shrugged, not really wanting to explain, That sound was deeply unsettleing. I wonder how they can stand to speak something so..... So.... Gah.... It just is. He turned suddenly, "Hey.... I think I saw someone from the academy, but I'm really not sure." Lucis scanned the crowd, "Should I check it out?"

He laughed and considered Lucis' word. "Do you want me to break the bad news to you now? I've never actually been here before...I don't know the way around the city. Jean-luc, do you know where you'd find a weapons store?"
The harsh growl of Jean-Luc Gordavris rumbled from a few metres away. "No, I too have not spent much time in Rome. I am Franchien, you're from the northwest isles. We need a Celerian."

"I am Celerian," a soft, haunting voice replied. The dangerously beautiful figure of Camelia had appeared in the midst of the group. "My father, may his 6 souls forever rest with the gods, was once the governor of this city. I have lived within its boundaries all my life."
"Well, you are proving yourself useful," Jean-luc growled quietly.
"Possibly, possibly. We all have our flaws and weaknesses, Jean-luc."
Camelia's face seemed to settle into a trance-like state, which unnerved Liam greatly. Her right hand went to her throat, and her voice came out in a wave.
"Yes, Jean-Luc Gordavris, we all have our flaws and strengths. You are strong, you are a good fighter, a tactician somewhat I sense. But you do not care, your heart is an empty shell devoid of love for those around you. It is cruel and unjust, and it is tainted with the presence of murder."
"...I don't know what you're talking about," Jean-Luc said, uneasily.
"Oh you will," entoned Camelia in her trance-like monotone. "All unpleasant truths come out in their time, yours are waiting in the shadows."

Lucis laughed, "I think that would just piss every cyborg off who heard it, making them want to break it." Lucis looked over at Camelia, "So this is your home town. It sucks to get enslaved by the people whom you know." He shrugged, Six souls? I wonder what kind of energy it took to harness six at once... Or maybe some kkind of transfer. Lucis watched Camelia as she entered her trance, "Well, that's a new one. I didn't know she's good at fortune telling." He turned to Jean-Luc, laughing, "Well, looks like you are royally fucked if she has anything to say about it!" I wonder how she did that...... Is it a trick of some sort of seer or something like that. Lucis turned back to Camelia, "So where'd that come from?"

Camelia was visably shaken.
"I-I don't know. It's never happened to me before. One moment I was talking to you about my father...the next, It was as if I could see into Jean-luc's very heart...and it was horrible. Their was one image going across, never-ending...just this one image, of a woman lying dead at his feet and this bizarre happiness. It was quite desturbing really."

Lucis shrugged, "Hmmm..... Very interesting. I wonder if it has something to do with stress. Are you stressed currently? I don't really see a reason that you should be but you never know! And besides I'm not you."What an odd pet. Maybe she isn't exactly as stable as she first appeared to be, that would explain why she was high and mighty and now.... Not so much! Lucis shook his head, "I'm glad I don't have a heart!" he tapped his chest, "Just machines underneath, so no visions about me!" he laughed happily, "One thing doesn't add up. If your father was important how did you become a slave?"

Vladim was smiling now. It was entertaining listening to this group, to have your country's language be a singing language though? They've kept you out of sight of all the agents of your family." He sighed, "So while we are in the talkative mood I think we should sort out a few..... Things. First off, where will you be staying while I'm at the academy? Second, how do you plan to protect me? For what seemed like an eternity, Andreas played around with the console, entering different preferences and then going back and changing them again and again. He just wasn't sure which slave he wanted. Then, he suddenly saw a picture of a female slave who looked to be around his age. She was stunningly beautiful and was from some country that Andreas had never heard of. It says that she's a virgin. Why would they mention that? Andreas didn't bother looking at anything else and decided to buy her. Andreas looked through the clothing options and selected to have her head covered and to put her in a dress that covered everything. A maiden this beautiful should look like a true lady. He pressed the order button...

Blacksen waited. Blacksen Waited, and waited and waited.
Andreas, after a full 10 minutes had passed, finally picked a slave to order. "Have you checked all her stats? What country is she from?" he asked, making sure that Andreas hadn't let hormones get away with him and ordered a strikingly beautiful, yet extremely disobedient, Celerian with a bad temper on her.

He didn't have time to answer as, from one of the back rooms, a uniformed guard dragged a girl, her head covered, on a short chain, her hands cuffed behind her back. "This one looks like yours, just give the man that chardboard printout and I'll pay."
