Andreas hadn't noticed his tone and was surprised that Blacksen had figured out his interest in owning slaves. "Actually, my mother was a foreign resident before she married my father. That's why she wanted me to see the world outside of the Kingdom. I don't know where her family came from. She's never told me that. We don't have any slaves in the Kingdom, but the Church has never condemned the practice and the Bible does say that slaves should obey their masters."
