Mai steps off the small jet, walking through the airport carrying several heavy bags. Her flight was delayed by the same typhoon that delayed Jairawn, and then the plane broke down on the runway, delaying it even further. But she's finally here.


Jairawn sighs. Wrong hotel. Close, but no banana, as they said back home. Then he smacks his forehead. "Damn!" He types several commands into the car's computer, and it sets off for the airport, while he starts his third bottle of whiskey.


Mai is standing on the curb, smoking a joint, when a silver BMW pulls up by her. She squints at the person getting out. No. That's impossible. "Jai? Is that you?"
Jairawn gives her a brilliant grin. "Hop in, sweetheart. Apparently we've been prebooked at a nice hotel." He tries to help her put her bags in the trunk, but she slaps him away.

He grins again. "And you smoke too much. Get in, I figured out where the hotel is."
She sighs. "I'm driving. You look like you're on your third bottle."

He waves the little card Blacksen gave him. "Apparently this little guy is hooked up to a couple trillion they set aside in the treasury. I can buy whatever I want with it."
Mai chokes on her cigarette. "A couple trillion?? This place is rich!"

The car peels out, heading for the hotel as fast as it can safely go.
