Jairawn feels a rush of energy as the red ripper he took when the plane landed begins to kick in. He doubts they're legal here, so he threw out the two he still had shortly after arriving. He shrugs. Carter, becoming impatient with the girl, turned to the Gardener. "Do you mind taking both of them? I'd rather not have to drive this thing there"

"Mr. Carter?" the gardener said, jabbing an accusing finger in his face. "You've still not really advanced yourself, so while you're still ranked as a junior teacher and I'm higher up the chain of command than you, I'm going to make this rather clear, that if you threaten to disadvantage a student by forcibly changing her marks, I'll report you for improper conduct and you'll be suspended."

"Not at all, Mr. Gardener. Marks are affected by how a teacher wishes to mark. If you taught English, and perhaps you don't agree with a thesis, so you mark it harder. After all, English doesn't have one answer. In science, there is a definite answer and a finite method to reach it. But teachers, especially here, give leeway for small mistakes, maybe even bump up a mark if they feel that the student deserved it. You cannot report me for that, because perceptions are human nature. You'd know that, being that you have studied at least some basic psychology"

But if I know that they've tried hard, then I am allowed to give them the one extra percentage. I never said I will mark something wrong if I simply do not like the student. What I meant is that I will simply not give them leeway. If they didn't word something out right, but I know what they are saying, I can give them partial marks, but I don't have too. Either way if they wish to pass, then they pass"

Tito and Leon then walked into a different part of the store, to get a gaming system.

Andreas and Leva left the "trashy" clothing section and arrived in a different part of the ladies department. This department was relatively formal. Andreas saw a number of ankle length skirts. He asked Leva what her size was and then picked out a dozen skirts in her size. He saw a number of high-necked blouses with long sleeves that basically covered everything. He grabbed a dozen of those. They found a place where she could try on the clothes and Andreas waited outside. Leva took a while trying to match all of the blouses and skirts so they'd look good together. Meanwhile, Andreas waited on a bench outside the fitting room. Once Leva had finishing sorting out which clothes match, she finally emerged in the first outfit. It fit her pretty well and Andreas thought it looked good on her. This would be the case for all 12 outfits, so Leva put her dress back on and put all of those clothes back on the hangers. After what seemed like an eternity, she re-emerged and they decided to buy all of those outfits.

After Leva had finished up in the fitting room, they saw a number of dresses. Leva and Andreas picked out 11 dresses that they liked and Leva went back in the fitting room to try all of them on. After what seemed like another eternity, they had decided to get all of those dresses. They headed to the next department, which was the socks and shoes department...

Andreas and Leva arrived in the socks and shoes department. Leva wanted to look at shoes, so Andreas decided to get her a bunch of socks. He saw some socks that went up to the knee and he grabbed a few dozen pairs of them. Then, he decided he might as well get himself a new pair of shoes. Andreas ended up getting himself 2 additional pairs of shoes. Leva re-emerged after around half an hour carrying 6 boxes of shoes. Fortunately, somebody had left an empty cart sitting nearby, so they grabbed it and stuck everything in there. When they were done, they pushed their cart into the women's underwear department.

In that department, Andreas picked out the highest cut underwear for Leva that he could find. Leva didn't object. She just put a dozen pairs in the cart. I think we should have bought more corsets, thought Andreas as they left the underwear department. Leva tossed a few of the bras in the cart when Andreas wasn't looking. The ones she picked out exposed the least skin. They pushed the cart into the men's clothing department.

Andreas walked right past all the casual clothes. He walked into the dress clothes area and grabbed a dozen dress shirts in his size. He also picked out a dozen pairs of dress pants and a dozen pairs of dress shorts. Andreas went into the fitting room to try the clothes on. He didn't take as long as Leva, but it still took him a while. He decided to buy everything.

Next, they pushed the cart into the area where they sold business suits. Andreas grabbed a dozen suits in slightly different colors. Actually, Leva was encouraging Andreas to buy more and more clothing. She wanted to make the most of having access to Blacksen's money. Andreas tried on the suits. They fit, so he decided to buy them.

Finally, they went into the men's underwear department and Andreas picked out a bunch of underwear similar to his school underwear from back home. When they finished up in that section, they pushed their cart, filled with clothing to the checkout counter. It took them a long time to pay for everything, but they eventually got through the checkout, while other customers cursed them for buying so many clothes at once.

After several hours had passed, Andreas and Leva emerged from the clothing store carrying heavy bags filled with clothing and electronics. They went into the next-door shop and Andreas began to look for items to punish Leva with...

Andreas was puzzled. Do these people actually think that punishment is fornication? That would explain their bizarre reaction to Leva's punishment. Leva was the one to answer him. "Andreas needs a few things for when I do something bad." Leva was immediately unsure if she should have said that.

Rohit had left the electronics store. Catching sight of a store selling some questionable goods, he was even more shocked to see Andreas and Liam inside. Walking up to them, he said "Well, this proves that you need no god to be insane. What in hell's name are you doing in a place like this?"

"What do you mean when you do something bad?" Liam said. "This shop is for...you know...kinky sexual products. When would Andreas ever need to punish you?"

Andreas stepped away and continued his shopping while Leva talked with Liam. "Sometimes, I do things that I know are wrong. I don't want to, but I just can't help it. Last night, I disobeyed Andreas and he needed to punish me. Although I don't want to ever disobey him again, I know I will, eventually." She whispered to Liam. "Maybe I agree with Andreas about morality or maybe I'm just into this sort of thing. I wish people weren't so judgmental about us."
