I made a new thread for Western Cuba and I to continue our war, we were going to strictly RP the war in it until the Banquet was over. As it happened we were having issues though.

The worst logistical issue I always have in an RP with multiple people is timing. Some people want to write something going on over the course of days while some people want to write things over a few minutes, and because of IRL that gets even more complicated.

Basically what happened IC is the terrorist attack on the bridge changed everything. My mobster guy started shooting cops just for shits and giggles, more or less. At first he wanted to kill Collado as revenge for the WCCP cancelling their cocaine-for-spies deal, but decided to kill Vagros because he's a psycho and thought it would be fun to.

Ends with a few cops, Lykiar Agents, and civilians dead, causes sort of a panic. On top of that Daniel has no choice to cancel the duels because otherwise he'd look like a callous ass.

However, IC now, Stephen Kalystos is now dead and Ryyth has his skull as a trophy (she isn't evil of course, she's just a tiny little bit weird).

We probably shouldn't have this discussion here cause it's not Terra Firma, but if you want to RP any sort of aftermath of this (assuming everyone just went home, as I said), you can TG me.

I think we could say, Ryyth and Rebecca become sort of friends and maybe one day if Rebecca is ever in a bind she can call Ryyth for an off-the-books favor. Similarly, you could contemplate Miranda's future after her night with Daniel (right now, Daniel is courting a Muslim Princess for Medeshahr ), but no pregnancies please because just no.

3. Pinkoia: Surprising not Commies, this nation needs a story

4. North Bananastan: Has been fighting with S. Bananastan for generations. A truce accepted by both nations separates the nations along a DMZ, which is...mostly...respected. This nation needs more structure, and it shoul d be idelogiclly opposed to S. Bananastan. Someone could ally with/support this one, maybe the PLU will do it, maybe the Kursk Accords nations will.

5, South Bananastan: The same thing as above, but reverse the names. Lanos/NACO whoever could support this one (since it shares a land border)

Well, I kind of have an idea, but it needs some work:

All three of these used to be the peaceful "Republic of Banaya" when a fascist/communists uprising(*cough*Thanks Lanos*cough*) sometime in the past takes the nation's northern and southern portions(A.K.A. Pinkoia and South Bananastan) while the center portion(North Bananastan) stayed loyal and democratic. With outside support, they held off invasion after invasion from the north and south. Now, the democratic government is being mostly supported by NACO, while the rest of the nation is either self-sufficient or importing from the few friends in the World it has.

I kind of liked the North Korea vibe we had going, though, since this world doesn't have an analog to that conflict that I know of

TO be fair, if the middle nation is being supported by NACO, we'd probably invite the Northern nation at least, if not both breakaway parts, to join the PLU to keep the nation from gaining too much power, or worse, recapturing the northern territory and linking back up with the bulk of Lanosland.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the intrigue that develops in "Bosquanos"

Also, Puz and I have an RP in the works, n I hear Licana is going to submit a little back story on Bosque and the breakaway province in the NSI.

Presuming no one has claimed it, and that here are no objections, could someone please mark off he Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal from the straight of Gibraltar north to the Pyrenees mountains) for me? I am currently on a tablet and as such cannot manage alteration of the map at the moment.

If there is an issue with that placement I would take suggestions for a different location as I only request a warm climate, coastal access, and a natural border such as mountains or a large river (given that our largely non-expansionistic government our natural expansion would not exceed said natural border).

Our weaponry would (assuming Iberia) be largely a hodgepodge of Russian and WWII left-overs, along with some more modern options opened up by geographical placement (smuggling rout).

I should think you not to as I have only been on nationstates for a short time and what I know of this project is more-a-less entirely from this thread. If either are pre-requisites of admission I would, of course, supply them (assuming ability to do so).

It might remain reasonably competitive with upgraded fourth-gen fighters like the F-15, although true fifth-gen fighters like the F-22 will swat it from the skies without much problem. It won't be a true 1:1 match for a modern F-15 Eagle in air-to-air combat, although in air-to-ground it'll probably suffice just fine. Against upgraded 4+ generation fighters, it will be outmatched.

The trouble with the F-4 is that fighter design paradigms in general have changed since its inception. It was originally designed at a time when it was believed fighters needed nothing but raw speed and beefy electronics suites to spam missiles at the enemy. That, of course, was proven to be patently false, and later model planes like the F-15 are designed with much greater maneuverability. There's only so much that can be done to improve this aspect before you should just get a new plane anyway.

You'd need newer, larger wings to reduce wing loading and improve maneuverability and ideally new engines for improved performance. Then you'd also need a new avionics suite, and have to inspect the airframe regularly to ensure it remains airworthy. Turkey decided not to replace the engines on their Phantoms, and replaced only some of the control surfaces and most of the avionics, which is fine for them since the air forces they're likely to fight in the region are even worse off with the exception of Israel, but even then a Turkish-Israeli conflict is unlikely.
