Idea!

Maybe, I could be a kind of Czechoslovakia, where yeah, we are our own nation and and we are pretty independent, but we also a apart of KC for mutual defense and such. Though IRL Czech was forced to be apart of the Warsaw Pact. So maybe someone else.

I can rehash it, but I much like Baltic States better than Estovakia, though politically I can change it.

I have no problem with the name. Its the fact that you are surrounded by a power block of Eastern European, post soviet states with mutual language similarities, culture, and a closely intertwined history with a historical relationship. The idea of the KC was to keep the West from coming in and corrupting our morals, spoiling our history and destroying our heritage. And you, as an eastern European, Balto-Slavic state with historical ties to everyone around you suddenly giving way to the West, would be a rather unrealistic and bad move.

Remember: we're one big squatting family

IF you wants to begin making closer ties to the West, you can do it in the modern day, or in the very recent past and still be developing them. And then, you can deal with the IC ramifications of it (Read: Going full Ukraine)

Well, I was thinking there would be an escalation of conflict, then a flashpoint that would trigger a war.

Here are my stats:

Budget: $28 billion (2.9% GDP)
Total troops ~150.000 (5.6/1000 residents)

Army: $6 billion ~100.000 men
Navy: $12 billion ~30.000 men
Air Force: $7 billion ~20.000 men

See anything wrong with these figures?

This is a very rough map of military spending as precent of GDP for each nation.

If people could start filling this out so we can begin to get a ranking. When the map is closer to being doing I'll post it there too.
