Today, a coup by the military of Lafida lead by the Lafidan Nationalist General Josef Katzerick has toppled the democratic government of Lafida, and banned elections meaning that all 'elections' otherwise would be rigged with 100% vote belonging to the new leader, Josef Katzerick. As the new leader, Josef Katzerick has passed out new laws that would take away rights from people with mental disorders (ADHD, autism, asbergers, etc...) communists, socialists, other left wingers, pro-democracy people, homosexuals, bisexuals, as well as anarchists. According to the General Josef Katzerick, they were deemed a threat to Lafidan "human society" as Josef wanted the Lafidan people "to be perfect and loyal to their new brotherly leader, Josef Katzerick." and these new laws would be indeed passed which would probably cause not only outrage among the Lafidan people, but also the international community (depending on the nations).

After these laws were passed by the Lafidan Senate (under control of Josef Katzerick), all rights from the targeted people (again, people with mental disorders, left-wingers, pro-democracy people, homosexuals, bisexuals and anarchists) have been taken away and these targeted people would be executed. Now Josef Katzerick would see what would happen among the international community whether if they liked it or not.... Josef would see to find out...

The government of MexSpain will not tolerate this type of behavior and this crimes that are to be committed. We strongly recommend a new change in Lafida, and that Josef Katzerick step down from power as he is unfit to lead Lafida and that the democratic government be once again installed. We hope this is resolved peaceful and that Lafida think about what it will be doing. As how right now this issue is at the top of our list of issue that will be resolved. Our armed forces will be at the ready to response with force if needed. We once again ask that Josef Katzerick step down from power and that the democratic government be once again installed. We will give Lafida a certain number of days to change its ways or risk a small scaled military invasion. We hope that Lafida complies with our demands. The Democratic Republic of Arglorand opposes and cannot condone this move and implores Gen. Josef Katzerick to immediately return power to the civillian government. However, we will not take any military steps to offend the territorial sovereignty of Lafida, and thus we do not in our plans have a large-scaled military invasion. We strongly urge all countries considering such a rash action to consider the potential repercussions, such as that they might rouse popular opinion in favor of the usurper. Meanwhile, we will assist in the coalition to extract refugees, as long as it is done peacefully and in an organized manner. Our army and navy are at the coalition's disposal should it need them, assuming they will not be involved in any sort of armed conflict on Lafidan territory.

In the major cities of Lafida, the spray-painted image of a classic cherub wearing an eyepatch appears on the walls overnight. Emblazoned over the patch (which appears to be an ivy leaf) is the anarchist's 'A' and the cherub rests upon the letters "I V I." There seems to be a murmur amongst the people nowadays.

Lafida intelligence reports would understand this symbol to be the work of the Improvised Vitality Insurgency (I.V.I. or "Ivy-Eye"), a large Contextican-based anarchist group that specifically targets totalitarian governments with a three-pronged modus operandi: covert infiltration of said nation; the setting up of underground railroads to remove persecuted civilians; and violent reprisals for violent methods by said government, whether in a covert fashion or the arming of a guerrilla army in the totalitarian nation, as well as psychological propaganda methods.

Like most militant groups in Contextico, I.V.I. is not sanctioned by the government and is sometimes outright condemned by the Federals, although, occasionally statements have been made that could imply tacit approval of their actions. No statement has been sent to Lafida about any I.V.I. actions.

Somewhere in the nation, a high Lafida official who is loyal to Josef Katzerick begins his day. Descending the steps of his house, he appreciates the morning light behind his stone-faced glower in the face of his servants. The air smells sweet as he enters his car. As an obedient guard opens his car door, he notices a package sitting on his seat. It appears to be from his dear mother, as his name is written in her handwriting on the package. Thinking it is a birthday present, he sits in his car to open it.

A loud squealing noise emits from the bomb inside, causing him to recoil in fear, throwing the packages to the opposite seat. But no explosion comes, rather a rubber mask -- a replica of his own mother's face -- launches towards him, almost seeming to kiss him before it retracts on its spring and suddenly ignites. The face slowly melts, dripping wax onto the official's car seat.

Inside below the box, a single sheet of paper is found. On its face is the picture of a the cherub with eyepatch and on the rear, below a depiction of said cherub's rear are the words, written in what he could swear is his own mother's handwriting: "Think of the children, dear."

The official's mother, seems completely horrified by this event, as she has no idea how it could be possible that her handwriting would end up with that package. She can mention nothing out of the ordinary having happened recently, except that her new gardener, only having been hired a week ago, seems to have disappeared.
