Well, Im not going to be rude now, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mark Anthony, I am an Internet Radio Host, I run the MarkAnthonyNetwork on 100.6 The Hitz Channel, we are a Top 40 music and talk station. Anyway, long story short, I'm also a hardcore NS player, love NS, always have, always will. Now I want to incorporate both of my lives together, I am asking for the leaders of nations all around NS's help. I am creating a show (60 min) on strictly nation state's nation news, meaning, if you have a news article, post it. I'm going to make Rp'ing so much more fun! I hope you can participate!



When And Where
Every Friday on 100.6 we have something called the "Friday Night Shindig", currently right now there are 3 shows, On Air With Mark Anthony, Reel Sports With Matt & Nick and Top 20 Countdown with DJNuebs. I will be adding a show before On Air With Mark Anthony, called "Nationstates World News" It will be live at 8:00pm ET (Eastern Standard Time). EVERY FRIDAY.



How To Be Involved
First off, if you would like to be on the show, you really have to impress me with your article, but that doesn't mean TG me a million times asking if your going to be on. You will post an article on this thread, every Thursday, will be the final article day, where, I will be picking the top 30-40 articles to be on the show that week.

What I Expect Out of A Decent Article:

-Describing Details, Words.
-Explain who you are, what is going on, who is involved.

Terrorist attack in Khelshar

On the 18 August 2016, multiple terrorist attacks happened in Khelshar. A series of bombs exploded in the city center of the khelsharian city of Gharsh. Shortly after, a gang of gunmen fired at people in the trains, using FMJ bullets, and a car bomb exploded by the Volsvakian embassy in the capital of Royalna.

It started with a series of bombs in the city center of Gharsh, around 8:45, who caused huge material damages and huge causalities. After the first bombs in the center, a new series of bombs exploded at random places all around the city.

Shortly after the first bombs went of, a group of masked gunmen carrying Mp5's, and opened fire at the densely occupied trains. The gunmen shot entire weagons empty for living people, and the trains were filled with dismembered corpses. While this was happening, Gharsh city center was evacuated and secured. The parliament in Royalna was evacuated without much drama. But then a bomb exploded in Royalna, as an targeted attack on the Volsvakian embassy. Then most embassies in Royalna were evacuated, and so was the City Council. In this bomb, 32 people lost their lives, and just as many was wounded. Every political institution in Royalna was evacuated, and all public transport was halted. After an hour after the bomb in Royalna went of, the gilzic(demonym for Gilzem) terrorist group called Gilzic Dawn, who fights for independence for Gilzem, took the responsibility for the attacks. They called the attacks "necessariy " and that the "operation was succsesfull"

An assassination attempt was made on New Chancellor Lexi Meadows on Saturday. The Chancellor was making a speech to the public on affairs such as the war in Christlor, and the epidemic sweeping hundreds of neighboring countries. While giving the speech, she was shot with a LV-682 Military Standard Rifle. Chancellor Elite Guards quickly evacuated the Leader and civilians, and the shooter was reprimanded within 10 minutes of the shooting. How he got the rifle, and was not discovered is still a mystery being investigated by Special Forces Forensic Experts. The Chancellor was shot in the ribs, and was taken to Salvation Island city, where she underwent major surgery. Chanc. Meadows gave a statement 5 hours after she awoke.

"He begged for mercy during sentencing, saying he did not know what he was doing." Lawyer Jack Barren, Jamie's Defense stated.
"Cases like murders and assassination attempts usually do not have an hour long trial. Since our justice system allows for courts to convict when ready, cases like this usually last 30-45 minutes." The National Prosecution League stated.

Citizens wonder how some of the best security forces in the world could let someone shoot the Chancellor.

Much controversy has sprung up recently about a mass shooting in downtown Emphillon yesterday. Thomas V. Kliens, a student at the University of the Ebenum Reipublicae, entered the schools cafeteria with an Uzi sub-machine gun, a Luger pistol, 400 rounds of ammunition and two incindeary grenades. Students were quickly in a panic after a Kliens started to toss the two grenades in the room. Those who did not hide under the tables were quickly mowed down.

"It was pandamonium!" says Karen Endryn, a student in the room at the time. "I saw my best friend fall in to a pool of her own blood! I wanted to save those who were lying there, bleeding to death, but I couldn't. I could only save myself at that point." Witnesses say that the shooting lasted for atleast forty-five minutes before Kliens turned the gun to himself. Police are unsure of how many people were wounded, but they know that 59 students were pronounced dead at the hospital in the wake of the shooting.

The SWAT team was waiting outside and few went in and when they did, they were met with a hailstorm of bullets. "I was lucky not to get hit!" said Robert Harris, one of the SWAT to enter the building. "Two of our men were shot and killed on site, but no other lives were lost." The police are refusing to give full details, but we do know the times that these events occured. At 12:21 PM, Kliens entered the room with the loaded weapon. At 12:34 PM, first responders were already on site and the SWAT was on their way. By 12:55 PM, the SWAT team entered the building and at 1:06 PM, Thomas pulled a gun on himself. the security for schools all across the empire is being debated during the aftermath of the shooting.

Earlier this week the South Cvandian Supreme Council began to mobilize their military forces, calling up all army and aerial defense reservists, and several units were assigned closer to the border than any soldier had been in 30 years, back in 1976 when the land north of the Czbechan mountains were lost in the war of North Cvandian Aggression. At midnight the invasion commenced, and South Cvandian Public News Broadcast television shows began broadcasting war-related topics nearly exclusively, before releasing a video showing soldiers securing a major city, once belonging to South Cvandia. Government officials in South Cvandia have refused to call this an official war, permitted by lower houses, but regards this as a “humanitarian” action in the defense of human life for the actions that North Cvandia has taken against South Cvandian Loyalists. South Cvandian Councilor Mustafanad, who sits on the Board of Directors for the Department of Foreign Relations, stated that the aim of this operation is only to reclaim what has rightfully belonged to South Cvandia, for the good of the people living there. This operation also violates the 30 year standing peace-treaty, which was co-ordinated by several world-powers due to the stalemate in the mountains, which was resulting in a high loss of life count on both sides.

Several Front-Line reporters who are integrated with South Cvandian Military Units, have reported that the fighting has been “rougher than they thought it was going to be”. Several units in the South Cvandian Reserves have been obviously unprepared for the terrain north of the mountains, and have gotten their vehicles stuck in “unstable” motorways. The South Cvandian government puts the death toll at nearly 1,100 service members. Though North Cvandia puts the death toll at around 2,000 for South Cvandian Troops. Neither side has released information on the number of POWs. This situation is still developing, and there are several unconfirmed reports that are not included for accuracy reasons.
