IPAs/ESBs: PINING FOR PENNY: A brand new entry rolled out for this year's AVBF, Pining For Penny is a very hoppy, tangy evergreen and citrusy balanced and flavored IPA that's not too heavy on the palate or on the ABV% scale, but flavorful and refreshing.

Belgians/Saisons/Farm Ales: FERME TERRE SAISON: a creamy, but light Belgian farm style ale; Made with citrus, coriander and other spices and slightly bitter hops from the Albertville area. Just like the home kegs farmers always had brewing and on hand for daily drinking and celebrating.
Pilseners/lights/Kolschs: CHATEAUX: a light bodied, crisp pilsener, golden in color; It is a widely loved favorite for light beers in Neu Engollon and a selection that has been in their repertoire since almost the beginning.
KRIEG KOLSCH, a light, crisp beer with a light spiced, hoppy aftertaste; A traditional kolsch that has been drunk by seafaring and farming folk alike, a newer twist on an old recipe.
Stouts: SCHIELE STOUT: a thick, dark malted stout; Named after a family that gave the Confederacy two heroes. One that helped throw back the Napoleonic invaders in the early 19th Century; and the other that fought off the Austrogs during the 1920 Border War. A hearty, thick drink made for any hero, or any common man, of the Confederacy.
Lagers:
GOLDEN CROSS LAGER: A light, clean lager that has been a beloved standard of the Neu Engollian working classes for decades. Going by the nick name of 'Gee Cee', Golden Cross is prevalent across the Mederano Peninsula, but especially in urban corner bars in the Confederacy.
Ciders/Cysers: ROASTED PECAN CIDER(7.7% ABV): Pecans and other nuts and spices, plus a malting, give a robust smoky flavor to this apple based cider.
CHAI CIDER(8% ABV): Eastern Spices infuse this cider during its fermentation. A beloved favorite due to the complex, comforting unique flavors.
Doubles/Imperials: 243 ALE(12% ABV) 81 Ale with twice the wallop! Potent stuff; Just like their single malt cousins, only more alcohol and flavor to boot.
FERME HADES(8.8% ABV) Double the earthiness of Ferme Terre, a third more alcohol.
Spiced Beer: GRANPAPPY'S GRUIT (6.8% ABV) A rich, piney, earthy spiced drink that comes from a very old recipe passed down. It has a bitter aftertaste and then a sweet floral mouthfeel following that can overwhelm the senses. A strong cult favorite with many as it is usually unavailable outside the main Burgunden Breuerie.

Maybe something more akin to the 2015 BJCP Guidelines for categories next year would make it easier? Perhaps with a rule that says no more than one entry per sub-category and no more than two entries per category? Just a suggestion.]

Yeah, I know, but to give an example Category 22 is American Strong Ales and there are four subcategories. So, for example, with my proposed rule set I'd be limited to one entry in Double IPA and one entry in American Wheatwine. That would leave the possibility for somebody else to medal in American Strong Ale and American Barleywine.
