Yes. It should create a boot option for Ubuntu, which you should select.

Note that Wubi (the Windows installer that I linked you to) is a bit slower than a full Ubuntu installation (since it's basically using a giant file on your hard drive as if it were a hard drive partition); if, however, you end up liking it, you can rather easily create a bootable USB stick or DVD.

Apparently players have had much success with running ME3 via Wine (though Origin, thanks to its DRM bullshit, will occasionally interfere because it can't actually do anything; I'm sure there are some less-than-legal methods of getting around that...)

You kidding? I still use floppies whenever possible (it's especially hilarious when you're installing a whole operating system from a stack of 30 or so floppies...)

I was a huge fan of Battlefront back in the day. That got me into the Battlefield series, since the gameplay is similar. Battlefront on PS2, Battlefront 2 on PC. Fun times.
