I take it you won't retire the f-111 early like they did in real life. :)

What about navy? Will you have a fourth AWD or fly VTOL aircrafts off the Canberra Class?

We already retired the F-111...anyway we (I am Australian, so I'm speaking from my RL countries side) have only just finished retiring them and upgrading to the F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. A few things with my navy I'm keeping, like my two personally designed Battle Carriers....might get those to be ICE joint projects instead of the Blackswift....but yes, I'll be focusing on S/VTOLs to be launched from my, lets face it, crappy navy. But lets face it, I wont be relying on my navy for much except national and colonial defence and some escort missions. Oh and the numbers of the personell in my factbook is correct (just switched the Air Force and Army numbers around and rounded the Air Force to a nice number)....
[5]Peace, no conflict
[4]Above normal readiness/Increased intelligence watch and strengthened security measures
[3]Medium readiness/Increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness. Minor peacekeeping operation(s) underway
[2]War readiness. ICE Operation(s) underway

IMHO Australia made a mistake buying the F-18E/F. Not really enough range or payload to make them a good replacement for the F-111. They should've bought the F-15E, maybe an upgraded version with AESA radar. Regional allies like South Korea and Singapore already operate them so it's convenient for interoperability. They can complement the F-35s as well once they're operational as the Lightning is rather short ranged like the F-18.

Are you mad? You can't launch an F-15 off of a carrier, and I'm fairly certain we're talking about Navy fighters here... so that whole being carrier operable thing is kind of critical.

Nahh, since he's talking about Australia, the Australian F/A-18s are operated by the Royal Australian Air Force, not the Navy. He's got no intention of using them off carriers if he's basing it on Australia's use of them. In fact, the Royal Australian Navy retired its last aircraft carrier, the HMAS Melbourne, in 1982.

The F-15E is a good fighter jet in terms of long-range interdiction missions deep in enemy territory, but its avionics aren't designed for a multirole fighter role that the F-18E/F fills. The F-15K Slam Eagle, the variant of the F-15E designed for South Korea, does have the appropriate electronics for such a role, however. I believe the F-15SG (Singapore's) also shares this characteristic, but it also has an AESA radar. However, both of these cost around $100 million per unit (versus the F-15E's ~$31.3 million or the F/A-18E/F's ~$67 million).

The F/A-18E/F is a great option for a multirole fighter, and ranks up there with the Rafale, Eurofighter, etc. as 4.5-gen fighters. Same goes for the F-15K or F-15SG. If you prefer a lightweight multirole that saves you money, the F-16's variants are the way to go. The F-16E/F Desert Falcon, designed for the UAE, is currently the most advanced F-16 variant to date, and it could be considered a 4.5 generation fighter jet. However, the F-16V program looks like it'll be upgrading USAF F-16C/Ds to the same standard, in order to allow them superior interoperability with 5th generation F-22/F-35, and that would make the USAF's F-16s the most advanced in the world once again.

There was also an F-16XL, which lost to the F-15E Strike Eagle in a competition for the USAF's deep interdiction aircraft. It also would've revolutionized the F-16 in the same way the F-15E did to its own family.

Anyways, since UNA wants to use S/VTOLs, the two main options are the Harrier and the F-35B (or F-36B if you're into Emmerian fighters, seeing as you've got a DPR on all variants). Those're all good for your navy, while your air force is fine with Super Hornets or anything I described above.

Just out of interest, just how much parts and logistical commonality is there usually between these shared platform conventional/STOVL planes? Say between the F-35A and B in RL or the F-36 A and B in our case. Do the STOVL modifications change the B models too much for there to be much shared parts and stuff with the conventional variants?

A little bit of a late post but the Revolutionary Insurrectionary Army has 30 Divinus class SSK Submarines available for the later shipping raids. (The ones where we organize to target most/all of his shipping)

We will use these instead of the proposed Frigates we were planning to send beforehand.

Good hunting lads.

Its getting to Pardes now? It certainly makes it difficult for my country to keep ignoring it.

P.S. Ralkovia has allowed that I allow a far right nationalist movement of my country to partake in the war on the Ralkovian side (a small involvement) which I will make a post about as soon as 'Condemn Ralkovia' reach quorum, just letting everyone know.

No its impossible. To attack and conquer all those nations at one time would spread his forces much to thin to actually take all said nations and defend his own nation.
