Ships-wise, I can prob put 1 Type-42 destroyer and 3 LaFayette Class stealth frigate in the multinational task force that goes on the raid. I'll mobilise my whole expeditionary ORBAT when we're officially at war.

I'd probably recommend keeping the contingent for the raid to one ship, preferably a small multirole ship like a frigate or maybe destroyer. It's really a very small task force (hopefully) since all the ships are responsible for is deploying special forces to take over a slave ship. Phonencia has an amphibious assault ship to serve as the main mothership, and it has a fighter contingent to provide air defense.

I'll just put down 1 FFG then in that case.

Well then the options are the Zidabor Forward Recon, the 14th Airborne or SPANSOF at this stage. The 14th airborne aren't suited to this sort of Op, and SPANSOF works best with Orbital coordination and they make much better snipers than shock troops anyway, so that rules them out.

I can lend over a couple of Helicopters and a frigate for the slave ship liberation.

1x Adelaide Class frigates

2x Merlin helicopter's

16x Soldiers.

1. Already got a frigate. Only need one. Although it could form part of some multinational task force from which Arthurista's ffg comes from.
2. No more than 5 soldiers (7 if you've got a 2-man helicopter sniper team included). And keep in mind they aren't just "soldiers", they're highly-trained special forces. Think things like SAS/SBS, SEALs, MARSOC, SASR, Spetsnaz, etc.

EDIT: That frigate might actually help though. Haven't planned anything yet though so not sure about it.

We don't really have a "highly trained" special forces. We have veteran guerrilla's, but there training is more from experience then any formal regimented training sessions.

Also frigates are quite possibly the smallest ships we have in our navy. (Possibly contested by the Refitted Cargo ships, but I rather use them for actual war landings then a little 5 man slave ship raid).

I am willing however to reduce the amount of Merlin Helicopters to 1, as if it is a 5 man mission, 2 Helicopters is excessive.

Lets re-iterate the point here; you are dealing with a country where people who own just a handgun, battle rifle, anti-material rifle and submachine gun are considered "odd", where a small town is capable of fighting an industrial war by itself, where there are more armed militias than there are charitable organisations and there is literally no one group of people that you can remove in an attempt to topple the government...and you think you can enforce any sort of lasting change?
