Anyone have any idea how we can shut off a few thousand of Ralk's slave collars in rapid succession? An EMP likely won't work because I'm pretty sure he insulates most of the electronics against it.

Military grade hardware are probably EMP-proof. Can he afford to harden trillions of slave collars against pulse though?

The the electrical components are pretty small I'm guessing so yeah prolly.

Manual disarmament is pretty much the only thing that would work in the case that the collars are EMP shielded. In which case the collars are too strong to remove, instead one might be able to reprogram them.

I thought I was also going to be running guerrilla warfare ops as well. I mean my ORBAt (what I have of it so far) is pretty much centered around the 16th Guerrilla Regiment.

Remember guys, we're not blowing this ship to bits. We're not gonna damage the ship at all save for the firefighting with the ship' security detail. We're going for almost zero casualties (come on, it's a visit/board/search/seizure op to take a ship, we don't need siege vehicles, AT, Centaurs, tons of firepower, etc.) All we need is a couple machine gun armed heli's (I'm talking simple spec-ops modified UH-60 Black Hawks), a couple helicopter snipers (I'll provide one team), and some short-barreled carbines (roughly 10-14 in barrels, keep it compact for closed quarters)/SMGs/etc.

Hell, we're not even gonna shoot at someone until they shoot first. If someone pops up unarmed they're gonna simply get pinned on the ground and handcuffed. No suicidal special forces (this is a high-level operation, that doesn't happen in reality).

Here's my outline of the operation.

5 ICE Special Operations Craft-Riverine will aggressively approach the ship, taking out its armed escorts (if they fire first). We'll have two Black Hawks drop some guys on an LZ, drop another few guys on another LZ. They'll clear the ship while at least one helicopter provides machine gun air support using its door-mounted MGs, while another two have a single 2-man sniper team each trained in helicopter sniping that can provide effective precision support as well.

Remember, keep collateral damage to a minimum. We don't want to accidentally sink this ship.

Yeah, there are 15k slaves on board. Sinking the ship would be a bad idea.

I can lend a frigate with a helicopter. The helicopter being the useful part of the combination...

We could take the heli but no using its rockets. If it's an attack helicopter I'd advise against it; transport helicopters with door-mounted machine guns are best for the operation.

We could use your frigate as a launch point, sort of a mothership for our forces that're gonna take this thing out. The frigate won't be launching missiles or anything, just giving the special forces a launchpad basically.

The assault boat could join in defeating the slave ship's escorts and help in boarding the slave ship as soon as the heli-borne forces arrive.
