I believe some other people were creating some hypothetical domestic arms on IRC yesterday. I, of course, encourage you to do the same.

Also, (ATTN: Kemet/Chemaki/Africa ect ect) I TGed Abream and she's up for a diplomatic thread.

I'm probably going to post over at it in an hour or so. Perhaps all of active Africa could show up? That way we have an idea of what the sides are, and whose around.

As far as weapons, Chrinthanium usues Nibelunc equipment almost exclusively. I'm certain we've imported other nationas weaponry that's still being used, but considering history and how alliances are set up here, typically your best friends get the contracts. And if you don't believe me, just ask Areopagitican if they harm even a hair on Nate's chin. They'll be so many Nibelunc bullets and bombs coming upon them that they'll think we speak German!

Ahem, uh, something else, I do want to say that Nates Euro Trip is on, once No Homo is over (no homo, of course). Also, ByzD, did u decide to stay with The Caliphate? If so, then I will reply. I need to know.

I'd like to also move that weapons such as the MG3 (modernized MG42) are available to everyone in Europe because the EU on a whole uses them. Would make things oh so simple if we could say,

"Oh hey, Germany uses the G36K. Italy is in the Eu, Germany is in the EU they both have the G36 in their arsenal....they both can produce it in AMW!"

Just a thought guise.

Uhm... You know, I'm not quite comfortable with that, since RL-Germany is a large supplies for Europe's smaller and medium-sized militaries. Using that system, every nation using, say, the G3, MG3 or G36 IRL in some quantity (which are most European nations) could produce it. And that doesn't even begin to cover the current and former users of the Leopard 1 and 2 (Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, from the top of my head) or the Gepard (Netherlands, Belgium and Romania), etc. I have already established that Nibelunc is a prolific exporter of weapons, but only to more liberal nations, with very strict regulations on weapons exports. Thus, I'd be completely fine with Chrinthanium, Belgeland, Valendia or Virginia using Nibelung weapons, but if a nation is using Nibelung equipment, we'd need to talk about that before.
Only because nations are allied (as in the EU) IRL does not mean it's like that in AMW, especially since in AMW, large parts of Europe are not exactly democracies.
It's not too simple, granted, but there can be replacements found for pretty much any piece of equipment. For instance, if a nation can't use RL-German machine guns, it might use Belgen FN-MAGs, etc. I'm of course willing to help out anyone with a problem in that area to find an alternative.

Plus I probably didn't respond during the Reboot because most of this military crap flies over my head, I can't make heads or tails over half the tedious debates that Bedd starts, I had to have Cass put together a very basic format for SOME of my army because I couldn't figure out how to do it myself (it's just sooooooo boring and complicated).

My brain may be bleeding after that, but I've updated Walmington's history, at last, with altered references to the Azores, Chrinthanium, and a new history in Dra-pol (which I'll have to update in that factbook, later!), finally nailing down what happened in the latest manifestation of AMW. Now WoS and Yashima share the role of aggressor in the peninsula, but never as allies, and it seems more likely that Yashima will be the one to make the first ever use of nuclear weapons (still just a single tactical device against the UPA 100th Assault Division), which I'm probably happier with, in all. In the end, Walmington will be the party in control of Hamhung-Hungnam, and Yashima what remains of the south.

Now, a few territorial, economic, and population matters to work out, and I can start thinking about that whole Azorean deal =) I'm sure I had more to say, but... that whole brain bleeding thing.

War? My good sir, surely the life of one diplomat is not worth millions more and billions of dollars? But it certainly sounds fun!

Though, if there is a war, it'll have to be postponed indefinitely until I get my own military house in order. As my factbook, this thread and IRC attest to I've been frantically cobbling something together but it'd be a gross overstatement if I said that I had half an idea of what my military is, what does and how it does it. It'd be unfair to you if I suddenly post "oh, I almost forgot, I have XYZ and, of course, it'd be stationed in that spot." Too much time spent talking about tomato throwing and no homo, I'm afraid.

Well at the very least the situation between France and Areopagitican will be like the one between the US and Iran, that's going to be the MINIMUM at this point.

Hey guise, I'm thinking of re-dividing the Central European Federation into a duel or possibly tri Monarchy. Imagine, a Florentine, Austrian and Genoese/Swiss Monarch that come together to form a council that never gets anything done! Imagine the political lols it shall generate!

Also, Ethnic Austrian Revolution based on the Serbian Uprising of RL? Yeah I just won the game.

This leads me to ask though, Austrians, can they be replaced by Serbs? I mean back in the day didn't the Celts rise up and drive the Serbs (and other Slavs) out of their former domain? Could they then settle in Southern Austria and Venice to struggle with the Italian locals? Also, planning on RP-ing my entire history from like Rome to now as soon as I get the time.

I'll keep everyone posted since for now all I can say is that I'm still here and have no ceased to think of threads.

Right now the Chrinnies are still fuming at the Autokrat and their lack of discresion--even if in the Areo's view nothing was done that should be considered inappropriate (y'know, burning a Frenchmen, turning cannons on the plane of a world leader). Currently, you're now Nate's new pet project. To convert the Areo's from insane religious whacko's to peaceful, civil-rights loving, human-rights protecting nation we want you to be.

I can see campaigns designed to "Save Areopagitican" from itself. Charities, relief organizations, greenpeace-like groups wanting to "rattle sabres" in order to save the oppressed--even if the people seem to like being oppressed.

You may have also single-handed improved Chrintho-Kemetic relations! Congratulations!
