As Marc waved to the cameras, tears beginning to form in his eyes, he could not have felt any happier. His gratitude for all the votes he received overflowed, and he smiled immensely. He had done himself, his family, his music, and his country proud.

Meanwhile, Zannania watched the voting results with bated breath. When the final results were tallied, and Marc announced the winner, the country as a whole cheered and began the celebration.

This scene from the parade in Helo Illyvio echoes what the whole nation felt at Marc's victory.

The Queen herself issued a statement:

We are overjoyed to hear about Zannania's victory in WorldVision 22, and we congratulate Marc Grassroot on a job well done. We look forward to welcoming him home, and celebrating with him in person when he returns to Zannania.

Congratulation to the winner, Zannania! Thank you for the 16. position for Folkand and the 25. for DM!

The confetti had already been released, the people were chanting his name, and Marc knew there was only one thing left to do.

The music started again, and the crowd roared in approval. He smiled at the response, and held up his hand for their silence. It was going to be hard enough, performing the song with all this emotion welling up inside him. He didn't need the added obstacle of singing over the crowd noise.

His voice was a little broken from the tears, but he managed to pull through the first verse strongly.

The happiness in his voice was conspicuous, as he breezed by his native tongue and held out the note in the bridge no longer than necessary.

There was no background mural this time, just Marc and his incredible voice, belting out the chorus for the world to hear. He wanted everyone to know how appreciative he was for their support.

He took a huge breath, to ride the wave of music down to the very end. When he nailed the high note, he knew that he'd cherish this moment forever.

As he crooned the last stanza, he realized now what "Let the Music Live" was all about. He gazed around at this beautiful Mediterran stadium, with all these screaming fans, and realized that music was what bound all of it together. His loss, turned into lyrics, connected all of the people of the world, who sympathized with him, felt his pain, understood his song. The tears of joy returned as he finished with the final note.

That you and I were never... Meant to be.

He waved to the crowd again, who were euphoric. "Thank you, WorldVision! Merci! We'll see you next time!"
