OPENING ACT: Symphonia by Oda, winner of WorldVision 21

20:00 CET

First the whole arena was dark. Then, some huge spotlights started flickering and shining through the arena. The background screens were now coloured in a beautiful kind of dark blue. After the mysterious and soft intro, the cameras went to Oda's face, which was shady at first, but then less. She looked in the camera, while a wind machine was softly blowing wind in her face. Oda started singing, not extremely beautiful or extremely good, but just good enough for the song, and her voice suited the song perfectly though.
Our love, it’s buried under shards of broken hearts
This world, this world of pain has torn us apart
Take, take everything you want, destroy it good
And build, build your hell castle where our palace stood

Oda did spread her arms a bit. After that, the cameras showed her face again. During this part of the song, Oda started a pretty artistic and special dance, while singing well. This part was a bit lighter version of the refrain, the music got louder in the last sentence.
Symphonia
I wish a symphony could be the key
To being happy and to being free
But there’s no keyhole that out key fits in

The music suddenly became very loud now, and so did the Chenkoryans in the crowd, as well as the most of the Mediterrans, who were all majorities in the arena. Oda started dancing heavier, and her dance suited the song perfectly.
Symphonia
Just give our hearts a place to hide
From the cruel place that’s called outside
Don’t sweep our lo-o-o-o-o-ve away

The lights that had been flickering during the big refrain, all went out now. The stage was again surrounded by the dark blue screens. The cameras zoomed out a bit, and you could now see Oda's whole body. Oda was now standing still, but during this mysterious and more quiet part of the song, she kneeled down on the floor.
Fallen down,
Broken and plundered immediately
Crept inside while we were listening to their hateful plea
Our bond of friendship’s been broken
Your golden heart, that I once loved
Was ripped out, without doubt, remelted
To a carillon of jealousy

Oda rose from the ground, and was now standing again. The music became louder again, and the lights started flickering through the crowd again. During the refrain, she continued her artistic dance.
Symphonia
Just give our hearts a place to hide
Let us steal away while they collide
Don’t sweep our lo-o-o-o-o-ve away

Oda continued dancing while she repeated the refrain with a bit different lyrics, while continuing her dance. At the end of the refrain, she fell down to the floor, a thing she had been training on for several times, to do it without hurting herself or getting a concussion.
Symphonia
A symphony can’t be the key
Nowadays it cannot be done simply
Only love has no value anymo-o-ore

Oda was now laying on the floor. Wind machines had been blowing all the time, they still were, but now also little raindrops were falling out of the air. The cameras zoomed in on her face, which was looking to the ceiling of the arena. At the second sentence, a camera was placed next to her face, which showed images of her face out of the position of laying next to her.
The cry… has not been heard by anyone
Without this world… our love would not have been made gooone

Oda was suddenly standing again, and a few steps behind her, was a dark man standing, whose face could not been seen yet. Oda sang with all her power, it was especially needed in this part of the song.
Symphonia…
Symphonia…
Don’t sweep our lo-o-o-o-o-ve away!

The man now jumped out of the shadows, and started dancing around her, not only around her, but also a passionate dance with Oda, like an acrobatic cat and mouse game. This all was happening while Oda was singing the refrain of the song.
Symphonia
A symphony can't heal our pain
Not gonna chime this earth’s alarm
This was our last chance and now we will be lost

The raindrops were still falling out of the air, and the wind machines were still blowing. The man, whose name was Carel, was now holding Oda, and she was spreading her arms like she was trying to escape. With all her power, she sang the last lines with long notes.
Symphooooonia
Symphoooooonia…

In the end, they had prepared an acrobatic thing. To her words, Oda stepped up the man's knee, then sat on his right sholder. The man dropped to the ground, and Oda was standing on the ground again, with her arms spread. This all had happened to the beat of the music and her last words;
Symphonia does not work anymore!

Oda received a huge cheer from the audience, and Oda looked out of breath and extremely euphoric. She smiled and shouted "Thank you Mediterra! Tanka Monterra!" She smiled, greeted the cameras, and then left the stage, making room for the hosts. Some men walked up the stage to mop away the raindrops. The background changed to the logo of the 22nd Worldvision Song Contest, while the stage colours turned black.

Not long after, the hosts walked in to the lower stage, the bigger part.
Hello World! Benvënyda i Mediterranija! I am Faiz Albukkori, and I am Milana Komulu, and together, we will be your hosts for tonight.
But before we begin, we'd like to say thank you to our friends in Madrin, Albertasby, for hosting a great show last time. Thank you! Tanka! Merci!
Now, without further ado, let's begin the show.
Are you ready?
5...
...4...
...3...
...2...
...1...
Let the show begin!!!

Then they exited to the right side of the stage. The camera then moved to show the left side, where the first act of tonight was waiting.

Time to post!

Post your entries and performance description from now on.

You have to put on your performance the number of the posting order. (01 if you've posted first, 02 if you've posted second, 03 if you've posted third, 04 if you've posted fourth, etc.)

Take a look at the details of the stage before you post your performance.

Most importantly, you may only post if you've signed up in the Sign-Up Thread. Sign-Ups are now closed.

1. Lanos

Blue Void took its positions on the stage, with all the backing vocals and such, to great disdain they were performing over a pool...forget about it. Let everyone else gripe about the whole thing. The lighting was ready, the stage was set, and the band began to do what it would do best...perform.

(Based more like the live version)

The lights dimmed out. Then all of a sudden, the sound of a thumping helicopter could be heard and several of the stage lights went to white and began to randomly move about across the arena until stopping at one point (reportedly the Luziycan section). That was when Roger flipped the bird at the spot and yelled:

You! Yes, you! Stop invading, fascist!

Then the band began to play and the spotlights cut out. The lights behind them turned on and off and went about randomly too while the background was a soft dark blue. Then after a while, all that cut out and an image of an invader unit being held back on some dug-in city block in Lanos came on but it was being marked out with a sharpie. While that was going on, the backing vocals were doing their part. Then...

Rob:
We don’t need no evil invader
We don’t need no foreign control
No dark fascism in our own country
Fascists, leave our homes alone
Hey, fascists! Leave our homes alone!
All in all, you’re just another hole in the ground…
All in all, you’re just another hole in the ground…

The lights flashed on for this part and they moved towards and back from the audience as Rob was singing. After this it went dark, save for the lights shining on the band. Then those cut off as the backing vocals did their part with the front lights coming on and flashing lights towards the audience. At the hey fascist part, the front lights came on with HEY FASCIST.

Backing vocals:
We don’t need no evil invader
We don’t need no foreign control
No dark fascism in our own country
Fascists, leave our homes alone
Hey, fascists! Leave our homes alone!
All in all, you’re just another hole in the ground…
All in all, you’re just another hole in the ground…

Then it went dark again until the guitar solo. The solo brought with it an extremely colorful light show and lasted for the entire time until the halfway mark until it did the HEY FASCIST part again and back to the color show. Eventually at the end, the flashing lights did their part again until the song was over. When it was finally done, Roger took off his guitar and gear and cannonballed the fuck into the pool that was universally panned throughout the world.

THANK YOU MEDITERRA!

GTV1 - The Grittophile Coverage

The Grittophile Coverage of this contest was done by Kangdents Frederoid I and Vincent Paul, the Kangdents of the Grittonian Isles. While Frederoid I didn't have much fame outside of Grittonia and the Grittonian Isles, Vincent Paul, better known as Prince Vince the Porn Prince, had a large following outside of Grittonia due to his... special qualities. Both were clothed in sparkling outfits and due to agreement with the Grittophile Block performers, they used the combined green room places of these acts.

''Hur dunka! This is the GTV1 Coverage of the WVSC 22, hosted in the... Well, Mediterra. We have been placed away in some underground theater, of which we are not entirely sure if it's underground... Either way, it lacks the ambiance of a good old Grittonian stadium!''
''That it does, Vincent! Just to note to our Grittonian audience, this coverage is view-able in the entire Alliance of Grittonia and watchable via internet throughout the world!''
''Yay! Now, let's see the openings act.''

OPENINGS ACT

''That... sucked.''
''And not in a good way.''
''If that won, we are surely the winners of this contest. Besides that, this stage is really something else, to keep polite.''
''Indeed! Now, we have the 'special' performance by Lanos. Or something like that.''

02. Phoenigetuzstha
Ashgur Damantibal
"Mehr"
Melody: Max Barskih - Dance

NOTE: As always, (Brackets) are for backing singers
Also: The word "Mehr" is Phoenigetuzsthan for "Love"
Also: There is a hidden backing singer (like Romania 2009)

This was Ashgur's time. He was the second act of the WorldVision Song Contest 22. He had always dreamed of being a performer, and after Phoenigetuzstha began to participate in the WorldVision, he had tried to represent his country, ultimately failing, but now he had succeeded and intended to lead his country to glory. Furthermore, he was the first man to ever represent Phoenigetuzstha in a singing competition (even if Stethesphenes and Philosir had been announced earlier, he would be on stage before them).

(I’m in love)
(Love…)

The stage is dark. As the music starts small pulses of light flow through the stage, gradually getting larger and more vivid as the music got louder. When the music reached its climax, a spotlight shoots down onto Ashgur and he is shown to be wearing this and in the middle of the stage. Four more lights shoot down at the same time revealing his four female backing dancers who are all clothed like this.

What the hell is going on?
I try to focus but I can’t
So I… just let myself go
Club keeps playing away
I should go but I stay
Cause I, just love this sound

Squatting, he begins to dance, moving his upper body from side to side while keeping his feet planted to the floor. The backing dancers do the same, all of them with a look of enjoyment on their faces. The camera goes for a frontal angle so all 5 people can be seen.

This feeling that I feel, it’s not normal
I cannot stop myself, and I don’t care
My mind’s telling me to stop, I should, but I don’t wanna’, wanna’, wanna’
I think that I’m in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
Should I be in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr?
Music’s got me in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of...

During the chorus he jumps back up, and begins walking confidently to the lower stage, the dancers following him in a line. He begins to point at the crowd until the repeated "Mehr" parts, were he once again squats and moves his head, arms and torso from side to side.

My mind is spinning with a lust
For the music and this club
And I… can’t stop the flow
Falling into a crazy trance
And it’s making me wanna’ dance
And I… can’t get enough

All 5 people changing positions, the girls line up to the left hand side of him (everyone else's right) and begin performing a twisting motions, with many knee-kicks and arm twirls.

This feeling that I feel, it’s not normal
I cannot stop myself, and I don’t care
My mind’s telling me to stop, I should, but I don’t wanna’, wanna’, wanna’
I think that I’m in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
Should I be in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr?
Music’s got me in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of… (Mehr)

Once again, he performs the same dance he did for the last chorus, the camera being frontal as it had been for most of the performance.

Is this, a dream, or reality?
I don’t care, tonight, it feels good to me
You can try, to stop me
But I’m gonna’ do all the things I wanna’ wanna’ wanna’ baby wanna’

He walks up during the musical interlude, marching up to the upper part of the stage, so he is elevated for the last part. The dancers follow him to the main stage and no further, performing their own routine, more free and expressive than the last ones.

This feeling that I feel, it’s not normal
I cannot stop myself (oh), and I don’t care
My mind’s telling me to stop, I should, but I don’t wanna’, wanna’, wanna’
This feeling that I feel, it’s not normal
I cannot stop myself, and I don’t care
My mind’s telling me to stop, I should, but I don’t wanna’, wanna’, wanna’
I think that I’m in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
Should I be in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr?
Music’s got me in meh-meh-meh-meh-meh-mehr
A crazy sort of… (Mehr)

03.-Bloodbath Generation

The 4some were a nervous bunch, huddled closely together on stage during rehearsals, and many fear our debut will be another nul points. But, we have a backstory. We also have our critics. Anyway, the two boys have decided: Eleanor and Lhui will sing the duet, while Helen will sing most of the song, with only Argush on the guitar and piano. The orchestra will provide all other instruments.

Now to the performance:

The stage was dark and nothing could be seen. The crowd of Bloodies erupted in cheers from a small section in the middle of the arena, waving flags and chanting "ALL MY OWN!" loudly.

Then, the commentators announced the name of the song,
A Place All My Own

And the artist:
Mackenzie's Friends.

The conductor of the orchestra bowed, and signaled Helen to begin.

*instrumental beginning from the orchestra*

Then, a spotlight was shown on Helen, standing alone on the left-hand corner of the stage. You could also see the background of a fantasy forest, much like one in a movie. A fog machine was used behind her, rendering the entire stage invisible to the crowd except for her.

After applause had settled, she looked up to the camera and began to sing.

~~ means she/he holds the note for that many seconds

There's a place
I can go
Nobody can hate me
nobo~dy says no

Then, the music goes faster, and her voice a little deeper as she continues:

In Technicolor
I'm held aback
but I just never wanna go back

and again:

To the hardship
all the pain
it all goes away

Then, 3 notes of the piano ring across the theatre, and the melody starts.

When I go to a place that's just all~ my own
*piano*
(deeper voice this time)
And when tears begin to fade
(now in a very high voice, almost operatic) away~~~
And I hear a
voice from
*pause*
abo~~ve
telling me to keep mo~~~ving on
*more piano*
Into a place that's all
My o~~wn
*piano*

Then, Eleanor continues with the next 2 verses. She emerges from the fog, wearing this

Now I'm here
nothing~
can stop me
Now I'm here
I now feel
some regret
Why did you
have to go
so soon but
now that I'm here I know

I'm in a place that's all my own
And it's like
the pain
is healing
In A Place tha's all my own,
I can feel
so~~~ renewed
now that I'm here
with you

After she finishes, there is a long orchestra part, with mainly a flute solo. This lasts about 30 seconds, and then leads into Lhui steps out from the orchestra pit, and walk up the stairs, singing

I used to tease
you because of
your constant tales
of a little magic place
but now I know
it's where I go
whenever I feel blue~~

Then, holding hands, they walk down the walkway in the righthand corner, singing, alternating between Lhui, Eleanor and then together (in that order). The orchestra picks up tempo and loudness every few lines.

I'm in a place that's all my own
And it's like
the pain
is healing
In A Place tha's all my own,
I can feel
so~~~ renewed
now that I'm here
with you

Now, it is only their voices together that is heard when they sing

Now I know
just where to go
A place
all
my own

And, the 4 are seen together, and they bow, with tremendous applause. It may not be the best song, but they gave 110% and knew that voters could feel the emotion coming from them. Lhui and Argush are seen with tears in their eyes. And, with the last tear wiped, they go backstage, waiting for song number 4.

04. Polkopia
Anastasia Ulanski
"What Love?"
Melody: Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson

Italic for backround singers/dancers
Bold for Anastasia's singing

Anastasia walks on the stage alone. She is wearing a beautiful gold dress and her dark hair reaches down to her shoulders in waves. She takes one look at the crowd and inhales sharply. Not because she was nervous, but because she couldn't believe she was in this position. She is joined by four backup singers, all female, who are each wearing a short black and gold dress. The music plays and the backround singers start to sing.

Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da

Anastasia grips her microphone with two hands and begins to sing

When I was a small girl
And when I looked into the world
Felt like no one could hear me

When I thought I was happy
I never felt I could be
No one else

But then I started feeling
Something not so appealing
Kept myself away from it all

Reached out to others
But they never bothered
So I dove
thinking, what is love?

The dancers begin to twirl slowly before doing graceful leaps and hand gestures as Anastasia sings the chorus.

I will not let yourself destroy me
For I do not care who I'm meant to be
Push will come, push will come, come to shove
For what is love?

I found that it's not hard to let yourself free
Just be who you are, and who you're meant to be
I am free of, being sick of, afraid to speak of
For What is love?

The dancers quietly fade into the backround, though their voices are still audiable. Anastasia steps down, onto the lower section of the stage and takes a few breaths while the backround singers sing.

Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da

Feeling no longer confused
No longer battered and bruised
Feeling better than ever

Not better than others
Yet feeling so much better
I love you
But what is love?

The dancers return to the lower section of the stage, accompanying Anastasia, and starting to beging dancing gracefully. Anastasia moves her legs and arms to the rhythm of the backround dancers, but doesn't make the leaps and turns that they backround dancers do.

Anastasia takes slow steps backward as the backround singers walk forward so they are in front of Anastasia. They place their hand on their hips and begin to sing.

Looking up at the clear blue sky
Asking questions such as why
I ever let then get to me
Gotta keep moving on, moving of
Push comes to shove, what is love?

The singers dive in the pool, in a very graceful manner, leaving Anastasia on the stage alone. The singers begin to form a diamond with their legs and begin to spin as Anastasia sings again.

Where is love?
What is love?

The singers swim to the outer edge of the pool and wave too the crowd. Anastasia blows kisses and says in a very happy voice, "Thank you! Thank you Mediterra! I love you!" She walks off of the stage and the singers exit the pool and follow her one by one.

Costa Fieran Coverage on Canal Uno

The commentators for the coverage on Canal 1 are Diana Vasquez and Antonio Igualdez.

Diana: Hello and welcome to Canal 1’s coverage of the 22nd WorldVision Song Contest coming to you live from Monterra in Mediterra.

Antonio: Yes, indeed. The country that deserved the least to win the host bidding competition is now in the spotlight of the whole world. How the hell did we end up like this?

Diana: Don’t be like that Antonio. Now, what can we expect to see tonight?

Antonio: Aside from the terrible hosts? Well, there’s Ana Marquez singing “La Noche Latina” who is representing us, and also, look out for the usual countries to look out for like Valcluse, Chenkorya etc. as well as the return of Cirona to the competition this year.

Diana: And be on the lookout for our friends from down south in Calimera, who will be entering the contest for the first time this year. Do you think they will get twelve points from us Antonio?

Antonio: I hope not. But I do wish them luck.

Diana: OK, then. Let’s see what the hosts have in store for us.

Opening Act

Antonio: And that was Oda singing “Euphoria” which won last year’s competition. It still sounds like a winner to me. I liked it then and I still like it now.

Diana: I agree completely. I have that song as a ring tone you know.

Antonio: That’s nice. Now, who is our first entry of the night?

Diana: It’s Lanos I believe with yet another song about fascism.

Lanos: Another Hole in the Ground: Part 2

Antonio: Well, that was something. Can they really not find anything else to sing about other than fascism?

Diana: Well, at least it appeared to be somewhat better than the song they sent last time.

Antonio: You’re kidding, right?

Diana: Yeah, it was terrible. Anyway, if you think you want to vote for this, call the number on your screens or SMS your vote to 5300. Normal text and calling charges do apply, or if you don’t wish to spend a few cents, head over to our website at http://www.tvn.co.cf/worldvision to vote for the song there.

Antonio: And up next we have………er………..the country that starts with PH.

Phoenigetuzstha: Mehr

Diana: Much better than the entry from Lanos. I like the new electronic dance sound to it and the lyrics are pretty much what you’d expect for this type of song. I’d certainly vote for it.

Antonio: I agree that it was much better than the song that Lanos sent but I’m not so sure I’d vote for it. I don’t know. It’s too early to say. But yeah, if nothing better comes up, I’d vote for it as well. Eight points probably.

Diana: If you’re like me and want to vote early, call the number on your screens, visit our website or send an SMS to 5301. Keep in mind that normal call and SMS charges apply.

Antonio: Our next entry is from the Bloodbath Generation.

Bloodbath Generation: A Place All My Own

Antonio: And that ladies and gentlemen is what happens when bad translators and fog machines are used in the same act. Not the best we’ve seen so far tonight.

Diana: Mehr is now looking quite good now isn’t it?

Antonio: I’m still not going to vote for it yet, Diana. And what do you think of the latest song?

Diana: Meh. It’s certainly not the best and I seriously doubt it would get any points from us. But if you think you want to vote for it, call the number on the screens, visit us on our website or send an SMS to 5302. Now, who do we have next Antonio?

Antonio: It’s Polkopia with “What Love?”

Polkopia: What Love?

Diana: That was actually quite a nice entry by Polkopia. The lyrics were nice when she didn’t sound like a stuck record. And the stage performance was more graceful than the one from that country with an unpronounceable name. But their’s was more energetic and this has an air of grace about it. What about you, Antonio?

Antonio: The stage performance was nice. But I wasn’t sold on the lyrics or the music. Anastasia is hot though. I’d give her points simply for that.

Diana: You would. And anyway, if you at home want to vote for it, call the number on your screens or visit us at tvn.co.cf/worlvision or send an SMS to us at 5303. Normal call and SMS charges apply.

Antonio: Up next is Lymantatia.

Lymantatia: Bonjour

Antonio: You know those really annoying songs that are so catchy? This is one of them. And just because a song is catchy, it doesn’t mean that it’s any good. This is a perfect example of this.

Diana: I already hate it.

Antonio: Moving on then, we’ll take a break now but we’ll be back.

6- Lobo, by La Vagantoj
Melody: Original, strongly based on 'Buffalo Skinners'. Chords will be provided in the first verse

The stage goes dark as the band take their places. There is no sound, at all, as the theater grows silent. Then, quietly, a melody is heard, being picked out on the mandolin- a soft but complex arrangement of notes. As it grows louder, it is joined by other instruments- a guitar strumming out its chords, the low thrum of a bass, the steady beat of a traditional drum, a mournful violin, and a wailing flute. As each instrument joined in, the player was illuminated by a simple, warm light that seemed to come from their feet, barely making them visible, but casting shadows across their faces. The band was scattered throughout the vast stage. In the front and center of the stage, the man with the mandolin began to sing, in a baritone both rough and full.

Am C Am
When I was a younger man, a-hunting I did go
Am Am C G Am
Down in the Korampa valley, down in Riabaro
Am C G
I'll tell you all the story, the tragedy I saw
Am C Em G Am
on the trail of Lobo, the King of Korampa

As he sang, the great projection wall at the back of the stage came alive- a surreal, swirling animation, in the paint-on-glass technique, with shapes forming and melting away as the narrative took place, showing a figure, their face hidden, their pose much like the mandolin player on the stage. As the perspective came towards the figure, their face lifted, and the perspective zoomed quickly into their eye, passing the gates of memory to Korampa.

The wolves had lived in Korampa for time past memory
until the day the ranchers came into that country
they fenced the plain for cattle and drove off all the game
so when a head went missing, Lobo was to blame

The animation shows the rich plains and deep forests of Sagatagan's river valleys, zooming into to a copse of trees, which shift and warp to become people, leaving the forest bare. As these men walk across the prairie, barbed wire sprouts up in their footsteps, and under the swinging of their axes and the blasts of guns (in time with loud blasts of the bass), deer and antelope melt away or transform to cattle. A black flash wiped across the animation, leaving a streak of red in its wake from which two piercing eyes peer out above sharp, grinning teeth. The flute gives a long trill like a wolve's howl.

The ranchers saw his hunger, and gave an awful shout
they rounded up a dozen men to flush old Lobo out
Their poison could not harm him, for he know it by its smell
and every trap they laid for him, proved useless as well

The teeth break free, forming into men, chasing after a pair of wolves, one black and one white, formed by the eyes, through rocks and trees that shift in and out of the animation as the wolves evade them. The wolves, escaping the hunters, rest, the black one standing guard.

Now, Lobo had a lover, and Blanca was her name
the hunters knew and noted this, and planned a cruel game
they caught her in a snare and threw the rope over her head,
dragging her from horseback, 'til they knew that she was dead

The black wolf fades away as the men appear once more, chasing the white wolf. As she runs, a bright red flower in the animation transforms into a jaw-like trap, which clamps down on her leg. The imposing figure of a man on horseback appears over her, casting a lasso that swallows her as they both fade away.

Well Lobo took to howling, and he made a plaintive sound
he followed them back to the shack where the laid her body down
but their steel traps did betray him, each leg was trapped and bound
and Lobo faced his doom, shackled cruelly to the ground

As the man on horseback fades, the black wolf reappears, his head thrown back and mouth wide- again, the flute lets out a wailing howl. The wolf stalks, feral but with a desperate and lonely sadness, through the deep forest. As he walks, a single white flower appears before him. Going to it, grasping claws and hands appear around him, holding his legs and turning to steel traps.

They chained him to the cabin, with a collar 'round his neck
and called they for the ranchers, their bounty to collect
with one last silent gaze upon the body of his bride
Lobo lay his head down on the prairie earth and died

The forest scene shifts as the thin trees turn to the bars of a cage behind him, and a lone tendril of vine grows up around the wolf's neck, turning to a steel chain. The wolf lays down, curled about the white flower, and fades as the perspective zooms out, out of the eye of the narrator.

Now there comes a haunting, I can hear it in my brain
it drags across my mind like a cold and bloody chain
for across that cursed valley, in a voice drawn long and raw
the wind echoes the howling of the King of Korampa

As the final verse is sung, the animation shows the face of an old man, his eyes sunken and sad, his beard long and tangled. The man looks down to the white flower in his hand, which he drops. As the perspective zooms out, it is shown that he is standing at the edge of a cliff overlooking the tamed valley. As the winds carry the flower over Korampa, the flute lets out a final, long, wailing cry, sustained as the other instruments fade, the animation goes dark, finally dying away as the the last lights go out.

I've posted 7th because both Polkopia and BG has the same number - 3.

Image

Zachary is wearing clothes like on the picture above. He is entering the scene and standing in the middle of the main stage. He has got a bowed head and there's the dark around. Then we can hear the guitar playing slow arpeggio that turns into strumming. Thin stream of white light is falling on singer's person. Zachary is raising his head and hand with microphone and singing softly with his strong voice the first versus:

Klęcząc przy otwartym szeroko oknie
Pośród czterech ścian
Oglądam jak na zewnątrz wszystko moknie
Tego chciał Pan
Słowa z mych ust płyną dosyć opornie
Łzy blokują głos
Krople stukają w parapet wytwornie
Zadają mi cios

Then the dramatic silence is coming with the dark. It doesn't last too long. Then we can hear again the guitar playing more powerfully than before and the light falling on the whole stage this time. Zachary is going a little towards the public. Then he is starting to sing emotional part of the song - chorus with his pathetic vocal.

Jeszcze wczoraj widziałem inny świat
W barwach, które znam od lat
Bez skazy, bez ani jednej z wad
Zapragnąłem deszczu,
Który sprawi, że ten raj
Stanie się ludziom bliższy
To mi Boże daj!

Then Zachary is kneeling and sing the last words of the refrain with his sight upwards:

Wysłuchaj więc
Mojej modlitwy o deszcz.

Then the light goes out. After few moments we can hear the electric guitar playing. The music is becoming more rocky, but it's still the ballad. Zachary is standing up and the light is falling on him. He is singing the next part of song with more powerful voice with delicate hoarseness.

Keelling alone at the wide-open window
Within these four walls
I'm praying and watching the misty meadow
Oh, God, hear my call!
The words are escaping slowly from my mouth
With still bated breath
Raindrops are falling down, maybe for a laugh
Raising my belief

The lights are getting crazy and the stage seems like it's starting to blink. Zachary is coming to the lower stage, closer to the audience and he is singing the last refrain like typical rock song with the electric guitar still playing in the background.

Yesterday I lived in another world
In shade that I've known for years
Without blemish, without any flaw
I dreamt about the rain
That will make this paradise
Closer to people on Earth
Can you cause it, God?

Then the music stops. Zachary is exclaiming the last verses of the song with dramatic voice and the head facing up.:

Hear me again!
Hear my prayer for the rain!

Then the guitars are starting playing again with the spectacular ending when the scene seems to break up like a glass. Then the dark is dominating the scene and the audience is starting to applaud.

08 - Mediterra - Mediterranija
"Drums of Love"

Lyrics by Sasia Ankuruma
Composed by Sasia Ankuruma
Performed by Sasha Whiner
Conducted by Eldin Sakranova
Melody (L'Amore È Femmina by Nina Zilli)

Sasha Whiner, as the performer from the host country, felt especially nervous. She had been waiting for this moment to come. During the postcard, she came out of the left green room with the conductor, Eldin Sakranova. The crowd cheered immensely. Her backing singers, who sat with her in the same part of the green room, came out from the other green room (there's a passage below the stage allowing people in the green room to move from one side to another). Sasha was wearing a dress designed for the occasion by a famous Mediterran designer. She walked to the middle of the main stage, while her backing singers went to the left part of the upper stage. The conductor walked to the conductor's place in front of the orchestra pit. After the postcard had ended, the entire stage and background was coloured in the Mediterran colours - dark blue and white. Then the song began.

Sasha was wearing this and her three backing singers wore this - the one in the middle wore a white one, while the other two wore dark blue ones. They were facing the background instead of the audience. The conductor wore a dark blue tuxedo. Red and white diagonal stripes moved through the background. As Sasha was about to start singing, everything was dark for a moment, followed by a vivid display of colours (in a paint-like form) on a white background.

Can you hear the beat?
What I hear is that the drums of love
Are beating away - boom, boom, boom!

With each 'boom', a part of the background and a part of the stage flashed. The first 'boom' made the left background and the upper stage flash, the second made the right screen and main stage flash, and the third was for the main screen and lower stage. (This applies for all the 'boom, boom, boom's throughout this performance).

If you listen close
You can hear it too - the drums of love
That makes my heart go boom, boom boom!

The backing signers then turned to face the audience.

(It goes on, it won't stop) It beats just for you
'Cause I love you too - Oh, oh, oh, oh!
(But have you done the same?)
Will you love me too, and beat your drums?

The background turned red, and flowery figures that were orange-yellow started moving and spinning around the background.

I play the drums of love
No matter if it's day or night (tick tock, 24 hours a day)
I play the drums of love
Loud enough for you to hear it too (that's right, loud enough for you to hear)

I know you're there, hiding somewhere
So come out and join me in my game of love
Drums of love - come here and play with me too
Dum du-dum du-dum du-dum

The background (and stage) showed black-and-white stripes.

Ooh, la la la la…

Followed by three 'boom, boom, boom' flashes. After the flashes, a new background was revealed - at first it was a white background, but there was a 'splash of blue paint' to the middle and it 'spread' and made the whole background change blue, followed by yellow, then green, then red, then white. This repeated.

Do you have a drum?
If you have one then you'll play it too
The drums of love go boom, boom, boom!

We'll make harmony
Love each other and play drums of love
The music will go on and on!

Sasha decided to sing a bit softer.

(Is your love just a lie?) Of course I hope not
I don't wanna lose you-u-u-u!
(You'll love me with your heart?)
'Cause my love for you is from my heart

The background was changed to the previous "red and flowers" one, but the stage colours changed to black-and-white stripes instead.

I play the drums of love
No matter if it's day or night (tick tock, 24 hours a day)
I play the drums of love
Loud enough for you to hear it too (that's right, loud enough for you to hear)

I know you're there, hiding somewhere
So come out and join me in my game of love
Drums of love - come here and play with me too
Dum du-dum du-dum du-dum

Sasha took the mic off the microphone stand, and walked to the lower part of the stage. A spotlight was on her, the entire stage was black, and the background was of 50 horizontal stripes of 50 shades of grey.

I know you are there
Will you come to me, or do you want me to look for you?
I'll find out where you've been hiding - I know you're there somewhere!

At the last phrase, the entire stage flashed and Sasha's voice suddenly got much stronger and louder. The background and stage changed to become black-and-white horizontal stripes moving downwards.
The backing singers started clapping to the beat. The orchestra played calmer compared to the rest of the song.

I play the drums of love
No matter if it's day or night (tick tock, 24 hours a day)
I play the drums of love
Loud enough for you to hear it too (that's right, loud enough for you to hear)

Then the orchestra played louder than ever.

I know you're there, hiding somewhere
So come out and join me in my game of love
Drums of love - come here and play with me too
Dum du-dum du-dum du-dum!

As the song ended, the background suddenly changed to this, while the stage was black.

Sasha put on a big smile, and the crowd cheered much louder than at before she performed. She said "Thank you! Tanka Mediterranija!" and left the stage with the conductor. The three backing singers followed behind them.

Bold texts, like this, means the singer is singing the bold words more slowly than the rest of the song.

9- Stone-hearted, by Usak Itibar
Melody: Sezen Aksu - Vay Remix

Usak Itibar, a rather tall Redayan man in his thirties, walks on stage in his blue jeans and red checkered shirt. Turning around to face the crowd, he holds his microphone with one hand. Taking a breath to calm his nervous mind, he started singing seconds after the music started playing.

Under the apple tree, we sat, just feeling, just loving.

Since the day I caught you, since the day you weren't so, you said you loved me,
yet you were with someone else.

His voice became a little bass, as he sang the next part of the song.

Our love, to waste it went, stumped it was. Revenge was there, into pieces this fragile
heart went.

He moved his other hand, the one not holding the microphone, above his head and clenched it in a fist, before suddenly opening it, signifying something exploding.

Wasn't enough, insulted enough it wasn't. The love long forgotten; Only remaining, was hatred.

One memory, you made for me, hurts every time; Didn't say, why. Made me just, miss
you more.

He gazed at his feet as soon as he started singing the 'memory' part. Then he lifted his head again, looking ahead again.

You told me you loved me, what did you do to this love,

Stone-hearted you were, only wanted, to break my heart.

Singing slowly, for a short time before as the music became slow before picking up again.

What did you do to this love, we felt hatred, we felt rage. Moving on we can't, stuck we are,

Hurting more with every word, crying stop, yet it won't, till the day we die.

With confidence, he continued his song.

One memory, you made for me, hurts everytime; Didn't ask, why. Made me just hate you more,

Doing this to me, doing this to us, yet made me want to die, scream and say, why.

He kneed on the ground, his head looking above and his arms stretched to its maximum length as he opened his mouth, pretending to be screaming but instead just singing the 'made me want to die, scream' part.

He looked down again, as his arms fell to his sides, his right hand holding the microphone near his face.

Stone-hearted, are you not? Now I moved on, you moved on, feelin' nothin' anymore, yet I wanna
know;

He sang, whilst carefully standing up again. The music stopped as he sang the last part of the song.

Stonehearted you be, just tell me why.

He smiled a toothy smile at the camera before lifting his both his hands, forming a V with each hand, a peace sign. "Thank you, thank you all!" said Usak as he hopped a few steps backwards towards the backstage before turning around and slowly 'jogging' the rest of the way.

The band is coming to the stage. Ciprian Uluman - the lead singer with accordion is standing in the lower stage. The rest of the band (drummer, guitarists and saxophonists) are taking place on the main stage.

The performance starts with the typical and energetic folk instrumental intro. The stage is preserved in the shade of red and gold. Ciprian is starting to sing and play the accordion at the same time.

Miałem sen o dawnych czasach
W których życie płynęlo wolniej niż dziś
W zapisanych wcześniej frazach
Odrodzona krzyczy wciąż antyczna myśl
Obudź się i spójrz inaczej
Na dzisiejszy świat wartości pozbawion
Cieniem ludzi są mi raczej
Ci których byt jest komputerową grą

The background music - playing live, of course - is getting more rhythmic and powerful. The members of the band are still smiling and looking at each other. It seems like they are having a lot of fun sharing it with the audience. Then Ciprian starting refrain with his airy vocal.

Wciąż powtarzam 'Homo sum
Nic co ludzkie nie jest obce mi'
Ze mną śpiewaj, tańcz i pij rum
Krzycząc 'Carpe diem' jak moje sny
Lecz zachowaj złoty środek w tym
Tak poradzisz sobie w świecie złym
Wolną wolę masz
Więc wpadnij ze mną w trans
Odkryjmy w sobie renesans

The instrumental inset is getting more cheerful and jaunty. The people are dancing and clapping their hand. The lead singer is coming to the rest of the band and playing with them. Then he is coming back and the music is getting slower and silent. The atmosphere is calming down. Now only Ciprian is playing his accordion, but his music seems to be more soothing than before. His vocal seems to be more clear and correct.

I had a dream about the past
When the life was floating slower than today
The phrases covered by the dust
Contain the ideas in the ancient way
Girl, wake up and look at this world
That is lacking the human values to frame
I see the shadows of people
Walking on the street like in computer games

Then everything is returning to normal. Ciprian is starting the refrain with the powerful folk music background. The lights are getting crazy like never before. The stage is becoming more lively and energetic.

I repeat to myself 'Homo sum
And nothing human is strange for me'
Dance when your heart is ready to boom
Screaming 'Carpe diem', catching your dreams
But you should keep the golden mean too
To survive in this dangerous world
You have got free mind
So let's fall into trans
And let's find our new renaissance

Now it's time for catchy folk outro. Ciprian joins the rest of the band on the main stage. They have a lot of fun. Audience seems to have it too. At the end everybody is clapping to the rhythm of the song and the performance is ending with loud double clapping.

12. Valcluse: D.I.V.A-On My Own

For the Lyrics
Blue is Danielle
Pink is Aisha
Purple is Vivienne
Red is Isabelle
Black is altogether

The group known as D.I.V.A (Danielle, Isabelle, Vivienne and Aisha) all stand at the back of the stage together, with the lead singer, Danielle, at the front of the group. The others flank her, facing outwards. All have their heads facing the floor and all are wearing bright silver knee-length sequin dresses and matching stilleto heels. The stage is bathed in a dark blue light. As the song begins, Danielle looks up from the ground and begins to sing part of the first verse, with the spoghtlight on her:

Look at me now
‘Cause you’re going down.
I don’t need you .
Get out of my life.

I’ve got a new groove
And a whole new attitude.
I don’t need you.
Get out of my mind.

Then Aisha spins around from behind Danielle and begins to sing the other part of the first verse. As she does so, male backup dancers, dressed in hip-hop style clothes move in behing the group.

I’m not a fool you can trick.
I don’t care what you think.
You can’t take me down.
Think you’re cool, that you’re slick
And I’ll fall for your tricks.
I ain’t fool now.

As the chorus begins, D.I.V.A all turn around and strut to the front of the stage, followed by the backup dancers who begin their dance-party style routine. The lights also turn from the dark blue to a brilliant white.

I’m on my own,
I don ‘t need you anymore.
Oh-woah
I’m on my own.
I don’t need you anymore.
Oh-yeah.
I don’t need you, alright?
Got the girls on my side.
And I’m gonna have the time of my life
So, who do you think you are?
I’m on my own.

The dancers continue with their routine as Vivienne steps forward to sing the first part of the second verse.

Heading out tonight
To see the city lights.
Got my head held high
Loving my new life.

Then Isabelle begins to sing the rest of the verse.

I’m not a fool you can trick.
I don’t care what you think.
You can’t take me down.
Think you’re cool, that you’re slick
And I’ll fall for your tricks.
I ain’t fool now.

They then line up and sing the chorus.

The lights then turn to a pink colour as they continue singing. The dancers then move forward and begin dancing with the group.

I’m on my own.
I’m standing strong .
I’m on my own.
And I don’t care what you think.

I’m on my own.
I’m standing strong .
I’m on my own.
And I don’t care what you think.

For the final chorus, they all dance popstar-style in unison until the end of the song. The lights return to a brilliant white.

I’m on my own,
I don ‘t need you anymore.
Oh-woah.
I’m on my own.
I don’t need you anymore.
Oh-yeah.
I don’t need you, alright?
Got the girls on my side.
And I’m gonna have the time of my life
So, who do you think you are?
I’m on my own.

All the girls then shout "Merci!" together and walk offstage.

12| Dragion
Iron Monkeys
"Toxic Funland"

Melody: Control by Metro Station

Bold for Greg - Lead Singer/Guitar
Italics for Daveian - Bass
Red for Both

Translations: Dragish to English
Ustjay elaxray - Just Relax, Just Let
Ankthay youway - Thank you

As Iron Monkeys walk on stage everything is dark. Both Greg and Daveian hold their guitars while the drums wait in the center for Megian. As the background lights rises the crowd begins cheering. The lead singer, Greg, pumps his fist into the air as he faces the large audience.

"Are you ready WorldVision? Who's ready for some toxic fun tonight?"

The crowd grows louder as the electric pianist begins playing the song's melody in the background.

Greg begins the first tab on his guitar along with Daveian. Each of them take a deep breath, mostly to calm their nerves. They all wore black jeans, white sneakers, and a black marching jacket with the Iron Monkeys Logo on back.

Megian finishes off the beginning melody with the drums as the background lights flicker brightly until turning white and red, the nation colors of Dragion.

I know it's getting late but I still want you sitting here with me
The music's playing
The fun is going
It's too early to get undressed.

Come take my hand
(Don't you say no)
We can have it all now
(No one will know)

As the chorus begins Daveian does a surprise jump to the lower stage where he begins to sing:

Ohhh we're living in a toxic funlannnd
It's nice, it's nice, yeah, yeah
Ohhhhh, I feel like we've been playing the countdown now
But if you pull down, we can own the night.

The background lights change various colors matching the rhythmic melody as Greg sings the second verse:

The music loud and it's so crazy everything's insane
The party's poison
You already know it
But you keep loving it.

Come take my hand
(Don't you say no)
We can have it all now
(No one will know)

Greg moves to the left side of the stage with the cameras moving along with him while Daveian begins singing the chorus again:

Ohhh we're living in a toxic funlannnd
It's nice, it's nice, yeah, yeah
Ohhhhh, I feel like we've been playing the countdown now
But if you pull down, we can own the night

Greg flips his guitar in the air as he moves back to the center of the stage and faces the crowd:

"Alright Mediterra let's hear you SCREAM!"

The audience screams and cheers as the melody change and the background flashes another set of various colors. Daveian walks back to the main stage and uses his hands to throw up the rock sign.

Just relax, Just let go, Hear the noise. Take it slow.
Ustjay elaxray, Ustjay etlay,
Just relax, Just let go, Hear the noise. Take it slow.
Ustjay elaxray, Ustjay etlay,

The background suddenly returns to red and white as the music switches back to it's normal faster pace.

Ohhh we're living in a toxic funlannnd
It's nice, it's nice, yeah, yeah
Ohhhhh, I feel like we've been playing the countdown now
But if you pull down, we can own the night

As Daveian finishes the chorus Greg throws his guitar pick into the crowd and flips into the pool below. The audience cheers are immense as Greg pump his fists into the air again―the background now displaying the Dragion flag.

Megian stands up and walk towards the front of the stage before blowing a kiss.

"Ankthay youway! Thank you Mediterra!"

Greg leaves the pool and follows Daveian, Megian, and the pianist off stage.

13 - Kington Langley
Allania - Getting There

I see you standing
By my door
You're dissapointed
And want more
You don't understand
The pain that looms
Staring at you
From across the room

The rain rolls slowly
Down the glass
Its ice cold feeling
Will not last
The time will come
To fight it back
I step into the warm
The heat
The light
I feel this sun
It must be right

It's getting there
That's the fun
It's not just waiting
For the sun
The overwhelming feeling
That it makes
Shows that you've got
What it takes
I close my eyes
It takes over
Just gettin' there
Makes you stronger

Hearing stories of time past
Those ones about nature
The trees and the grass
It sounds like something
Out of heaven
I sit there waiting
For it to happen
But then I realise
It's my decision

I know long ago
we used to talk
But now I feel
The urge to walk
I want to get there
To keep on going
At least then
My life
My soul
Will have some meaning

It's getting there
That's the fun
It's not just waiting
For the sun
The overwhelming feeling
That it makes
Shows that you've got
What it takes
I close my eyes
It takes over
Just gettin' there
Makes you stronger

What makes you stronger
Isn't just hope
It's the love
That helps you cope
The journey may be cold
It may be long
But getting there
It doesn't seem so wrong

I crossed the hills
The seas
The plains
Now that i'm here
I feel no pain
Who'd of thought
No way of knowing
That getting there
Keeps you going

It's getting there
That's the fun
It's not just waiting
For the sun
The overwhelming feeling
That it makes
Shows that you've got
What it takes
I close my eyes
It takes over
Just gettin' there
Makes you stronger

Music slows, Allania sings softly into the microphone

So what are you waiting for
Don't shed a tear
Start your journey
There's nothing to fear
While the world
Keeps on slowing
I'm the one
That'll keep on going

Dekalana Vashenkov - Don't Need You

Dekalana Vashenkov, a 26 year old female singer from the human quarter of Canterlot, walks out onto the stage wearing a dress that looks something like this. The lights dim briefly as the postcard appears. When she starts singing, spotlights illuminate her and other lights produce beams of white that do all the panning around and so on. During the first chorus, the stage illuminates in purple with some black silhouettes here and there. The melody is a kind of dance type electronic tune. Or something.

Back then when I met you,
You seemed so true.
I felt the magic, I needed you.
But then you left me,
Don't know what to do.

Why do you cry if you say that I lie?
What did she say to make you be so blind?

So just go, I dont need you.
Darling no. Don't believe you.
You have shown, that you want to,
That you want to,
That you want to break my heart.

Now it is better, it's easy to,
Know what is real and what to do.
Feelings subside, they fade away.
I am better off now I say.

What made you think that I would not find out?
Why dont you show what your angers' about?

So just go, I dont need you.
Darling no. Don't believe you.
You have shown, that you want to,
That you want to,
That you want to break my heart.

So you say you love me, but you don't care.
So you say you need me, but you weren't there.
Do not say it's untrue, don't you dare.
For you are a liar and you aren't fair.

So just go, I dont need you.
Darling no. Don't believe you.
You have shown, that you want to,
That you want to,
That you want to break my heart.

So just go, I dont need you.
Darling no. Don't believe you.
You have shown, that you want to,
That you want to,
That you want to break my heart.

OOC: 14th because of Kington Langley's tag - his entry will be 13th when posted. I did have a melody but I have completely forgotten what song it was, sorry if that makes it a bit more difficult to judge. Also, I know nothing about music so couldnt really write up much of a performance, but the lights would be similar during the first verse to those on Loreen's Euphoria.

Hello, Bloodbath Generation, welcome to the exclusive coverage of Worldvision 22 here in Monterra, Mediterra. We are a debuting nation, and with some nations turning their backs on us, can we go home with our heads held high? Or will we want to go a place all our own?
Only voters can decide. Why, here's the winners reprise from last year!

Good song, but the performance was not my cup of tea. Now, the first entry tonight is from The Republic of Lanos. The band is called Blue Void, with a rock song called Another Hole in the Ground, Part 2.

*performance*

If that's part two, dear sunkyu I hope part 1 was better than that...I know they worked hard but either nerves got to them or they just aren't the same from their performance at our NF.
But they didn't perform...we never had a final.
...oh. Wrong band! Anyway, next up is Phoenigetuzstha with the song Ashgur Damantibal. HURRGEDURGEN! Haha, but I hope nobody was..too offended.

To be continued

15. Skeletons by Melody Star
Albertasby

Melody was awaiting back stage, nervous but excited at the same. She was the youngest ever Albertasbian to take to this stage, being just 16, but she had plenty of stage experience and was ready for such an amazing experience to take place. She had just finished with the stylists, completing her final look to perform with. She was determined.

The Albertasbians had stripped it right back this year, presenting an acoustic piece. Melody took to the stage sitting on a stool behind a microphone stand. She pulled an acoustic guitar up and began to strum the opening chords. The staging was simple but effective; with everything blacked out but a single spotlight shining on her. Melody wanted this to be more about the message and lyrics rather than the performance.

Would you die happy
if you knew you had love?
To live an unfulfilled life,
but knew you found the one?
You hide all you secrets
and keep them in the dark,
The blissful ignorance you lead
and maintained from the start.

As the first verse ended, and moved into the chorus, the strumming on the guitar sped up slightly, and Melody's gaze focused right down the camera. She knew she would probably get slated for being boring or dull, but she wanted to show the world that a World Vision song could be all about the message, the lyrics and the talent rather than the whole performance and show aspect that it had become.

Would it break
your... bones...
To watch your secrets run?
Would it make you feel
vulnerable...
this once?

The spotlight faded from a white to a soft red colour, and silence captured the crowd. It seemed as though they weren't just watching a show anymore, but listening to what Melody was saying and really appreciating the message. With the movement into the second verse, Melody's voice began softer and more of a velvety tone than what she had used during the chorus.

No one likes to be alone.
In a world we’re taught
to find a home.
To live there, die there
and be happy.

Instead of going to the chorus again, Melody went to the next verse; her big green eyes realy showing the emotion behind the song. It was almost as if she was feeling every single word, and she hoped it would connect with the people at home. Her eyes were focused right down the lens, and she continued to play the guitar accurately, filling the arena with the sounds of her voice and her guitar.

You have your skeletons
and I have mine.
You lock yours up
and you keep them confined.
But what if these skeletons,
they just want to breath,
unlock your doors,
Let them run
and be free

The song moved to the chorus, and the soft red of the spotlight faded slowly into an emerald like colour. The changing of the lights was symbolic to her; showing the progression of people's emotions as there life goes on. White for purity, red for passion and green for envy. They showed the three stages of a relationship; and it was a clever trick done by her that many would probably not pick up.

Would it break
your... bones...
To watch your secrets run?
Would it make you feel
vulnerable...
this once?

She put down the guitar, pulled the microphone from the stand and walked forward slowly, holding her hands out to the audience. Showing them the true message of her song; that if you share your largest heartache to someone close to you, there'll be there to help you and stand by you. She sang the chorus once again, this time without the accompaniment of her guitar to truly show the world her talent.

Would it break
your... bones...
To watch your secrets run?
Would it make you feel
vulnerable...
this once?

As she finished the final notes, the lights totally went out, symbolising the final stage of a relationship; the ending.

Thank you Mediterra! Merci! Muchas gracias!

16. Crolacia
Ellemann Gustavsson
My Love

To the melody of: Fairytale, by Alexander Rybak

NOTE:
Brackets are used for the backup singers.

Ellemann and his colleagues, the backup singers and the dancers have all been waiting for this day. Ellemann and the crew have trained hard and tried to make the performance as better as possible. Ellemann was smiling in the greenroom, but wasn't scared of the stage. He was very friendly and was talking to singers from other nations. Then,it was his time to perform. Ellemann fastly walked to the stage and was ready to perform.

Camera was showing the venue noised with huge cheers from the audience. Camera was getting close to the stage and then it was showing the three dancers which were dancing perfectly. Ellemann started to play his violin, but the audience was still cheering. Lights showing Elleman and the dancers were on. Camera was now showing Elleman who played violin and was smiling. He fastly knelt while playing violin. Camera was now showing the whole stage. Background was showing wooden houses,a moon and some stars. Now,some of the lights were on,and were blue,so it all seemed like a dream. Elleman came to the three dancers happily and they were dancing behind him. He got to the microfone while still perfectly playing his violin.
(Ellemann plays instrumental with violin)

Elleman sang great. Camera was now showing him singing, but then it was showing the whole stage. While Ellemann sang passionately, three dancers were kneeling and making circles with their legs, and then slowly risen up to their feet and continued dancing. Camera was now showing on Elleman who sang great.
Last year,
When we were stubborn,
We used to fight,
Just every day,
We were like,
A dog and cat,
But now,
I have to say,

Camera was now showing on the stage and the beautiful background, which was containing houses,a moon and some stars, but now with fireworks. It was all magical, like in a dream. Elleman sang strongly with the dancers dancing professionally behind him. Camera was now showing Elleman and was left to him while he sang the refrain, but then it switched fastly, and was showing Elleman while being in front of him. He spreaded his arms and then fastly put his right arm on his heart, where his love belongs.
I am yours,
And I'll always be,
Because you're,
My love,
I will do,
Anything for you,
'Cause you are,
My love,

Camera was now showing the stage from the left, and was moving to the right while Elleman played his violin magnificently. The three dancers' feets and palms were on the floor and they were dancing fastly but beutifully. The dance seemed similar to fast pushups. While camera was moving to the right,it passed just by Elleman who played his violin passionately. Whe nthe camera moved to the right,it was showing Ellemann and the dancers. Dancers were doing the pushups dance and were jumping above each other while dancing. Camera was now showing Ellemann and the dancers who were still magnificently jumping above each other. But then,Ellemann, while playing the violin perfectly, got on the outer sides of his both foots and was descending towards the floor, but then he fastly got on his both feet while playing the violin. The camera was now above Elleman and the dancers which were dancing the puchup dance around Ellemann, while he was playing the violin. Camera was now descending towards the floor showing Ellemann and the three dancers. The dancers went to the right of Ellemann and continued dancing, but now they were doing rings with their bodies, when suddenly two backup singers walked by the dancers and continuing their walk to Ellemann.
(Elleman plays instrumental with violin)

Camera was showing on Ellemann who was now singing. He sang very good and so did the two backup singers. Camera was now showing Ellemann and the backup singers from the right side. Elleman sang greatly and backup singers were moving their dresses and smiling. Camera was now showing the whole stage. Ellemann sang while the backup singers moved to his right side. Camera was showing Ellemann now,who was singing and followed the backup singers with his eyes. Camera was now above the backup singers who rasied their left hands and then out them down again.
This year,
(Da,da,dam)
We are in love,
(Da,da,dam)
But we still,
Just fight,
(Da,da,dam,da,da,dam)
We fight because,
We do not know,
Who's love,
Is stronger,

Camera was ascending and showing the view of the stage from the right side. Backup singers raised their left hands again and then put them down. Camera was now showing Ellemann and the dancers. Ellemann sang perfectly while dancers were dancing. Dancers were holding each other's arms and were moving to the left and to the right when a dancer that was on left leaved the other two and began dancing. He was twirling himself, all the way for the right to the left of the stage and camera was following him. When he got to the left of the stage he pointed his arms towards Ellemann, who was singing happily and correctly. Camera was now showing Elleman and the backup singers, which were left to him. Ellemann pointed his right arm towards the dancer and backup singers were dancing and moving their dresses
Our friends,
Just laugh at us,
Because we are,
Like dog and cat,
But they don't see,
Our love is stronger,
Than it will ever be,

Camera was showing Ellemann, who was smiling while singing strongly. Camera was now showing left side of the stage and was moving towards the right one. It was showing the backup singers which were singing beautifully and were dancing. Then,as it was moving to the right,it was showing Ellemann and the dancers who danced perfectly. Elemann kept the smile on his face while the camera was turning around him,and was singing strongly.
I am yours,
And I'll always be,
Because you're,
My love,
I will do,
Anything for you,
'Cause you are,
My love,

Camera was showing on Elleman, who started to play his violin and walked to the left and then to the center of the stage. Camera was now above him and the dancers which were dancing magnificently around him.
(Ellemann plays instrumental with violin)

Camera was now showing the left side of the stage behind all the performers and was moving towards Ellemann. Dancers were dancing amazingly and had a unique dance. Camera has moved to the right of the stage and has switched to the view of Ellemann, who was holding his arms spreaded and was singing very strongly and correctly. Camera was now showing Ellemann and the dancers who were singing amazingly. The background was also beautiful.
I love you,babe,
Yeah,
Because you're,
My love,
I will do,
Anything for you,
'Cause you are,
My love,

Camera was showing Ellemann and the dancers. The backup singers walked next to Ellemann, who was now playing his violing strongly and passionetly. Suddenly, several fireworks blasted into the air in the rythm of the song. At that time, the dancers were still dancing fantasticly. Then,as Ellemann finished playing the violin, the last and most beautiful firework blasted.
(Ellemann plays instrumental with violin)

As the song ended, the audience gave Ellemann huge cheers and he yelled: ''Thank you so much! We love you!'' There were lots of Crolacian flags waving.

Joseph: Pour voter pour elle, composez le numéro sur l'écran et de dire RDY. Suivant est Folkand.

Folkand: Renaissance

Helene: Good use of Polish and English just like in the Deblinian Masovian song.
Joseph: To vote for it, call the number on the screen and say FKD. We'll be back after this commercial break!

Hélène: Bon usage du polonais et en anglais, tout comme dans la chanson Deblinian Mazovie.
Joseph: Pour voter pour elle, composez le numéro sur l'écran et de dire FKD. Nous serons de retour après cette pause publicitaire!

Marc Grassroot,
"Possibly"
Melody: Molitva, by Marija Serifovic

Marc Grassroot sat in the green room, trying to chat with the other performers. He had a major case of stomach butterflies. He loved his country, and to think that he was the one to perform for Zannania's debut at WorldVision made him feel like the entire nation was waiting on the sidelines, ready to praise him if he succeeded, or disown him if he failed to make a good impression. He already had a huge following in Zannania, but this time he needed to impress the voters from around the world. He just hoped that it would be enough.

When Zannania's postcard popped up, he knew it was time to go. He walked onto the stage and sat on a stool placed in the center of the stage. He was alone on stage, wearing his trademark red vest with black pants and a red tie. The background behind him was a soft, pastel orange. When the Zannanian contingency in the crowd had shushed, he began with a low, piano croon. His voice, a true tenor, rolled across the words.

Here I sit, thinking
What I had said to make you go
My heart slowly sinking
Wondering if I'll ever know.
I've got to move on now.
You are mere dust upon the wind
The laugh is on you now!
The world has forgiven all my sins

The piano accompanying him lilted over the notes, making sure the audience caught every chord. He was singing mezzoforte now, as he stood from his perch and gave the audience a searching glance, as if looking for an explanation for the internal turmoil this relationship was causing him.

Gaieté
Tristesse
Emotions rising from within
Oublier
J'espéré
A new life to begin!

His voice continued to crescendo, and finally hit with a powerful forte as he burst into the chorus. The background changed to a bright orange, and a red sun was rising behind him.

Possibly
It is you who has run out of chances
Possibly
I'm the one who knows what real romance is
I'm moving on
Lonely nights are gone,
You were not all that you claimed to be
You were immature
I have found my cure
Is it wrong that hollow loss is all I see?
Possibly!

The interlude was filled by a violin, lonely and sad, yet filled with hope as it climbed the notes, higher and higher. Marc drifted to stage right, while a lone woman walked on stage from stage left. The music stopped as Marc turned to face her. They stood on opposite ends of the stage, glancing at each other. The air was thick and tense. The audience could sense that this was the object of Marc's inner confusion. She made a motion, as if to walk towards him, but he shook his head. He had moved on, she was not going to change that. She turned away from him, and walked off. The music kicked back in suddenly, and Marc turned back towards the audience.

Forgetting
Upsetting
J'ai déplacé, sur sans vous
Newborn love
Memories of
J'ai, adoré vous

Possibly
It is you who has run out of chances
Possibly
I'm the one who knows what real romance is
I'm moving on
Lonely nights are gone,
You were not all that you claimed to be
You were immature
I have found my cure
Could it be that I was wrong...?

Everyone could tell that this was the big climax, the moment of truth. Marc took a huge breath and practically screamed the last stanzas.

Possibly! Ooh ooooh, yeah!
Your empty love
I am rid of
I don't need your pointless rage and envy
I don't know why
You said goodbye
All I know is that there's no more "you and me"....
Now I see.

The final shush of the ending line. Calm appeared over Marc's face, and he had a hint of a smile as he whispered the last notes.

That you and I were never... Meant to be.

He walked off stage, knowing he had done his part, and that his fate was in the hands of the world's voters. Before the stage faded to black, he turned and waved to the cheering crowd. "Thank you, Mediterra! Merci, bonne nuit!"

Beards (Ba Ba Ba)- Old Man Jim and his band of Sheep

The crowd was silent. Anticipation was high for the relatively unknown Old Man Jim, but Yakostan was confident that it's choice would win.

Old Man Jim and all his beardly glory walked onto the stage. His band was already set up, and started playing. The familiar tune of the " Trolololololololololo" song started up, and Old Man Jim started singing.

"Beardly, Bearly, Bearrrrrrrrrddddddddddssssss"he belted out

(There's not really much point saying the rest of the lyrics; It's pretty obvious)

And then the song randomly changed. Old Man Jim picked up a large sub- contrabass saxophone and waited. Some sheep were being hearded onto the stage! They were chucked in a pen, and the lights dimmed.

Old Man Jim started. He played the opening 4 bars of "Good Morning" and then the sheep started.

Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba they randomly chirped, and after 2 minutes of doing just that, it was finished. Old Man Jim walked off the stage without even acknowledging the crowds presence, and the sheep simply herded off the stage. The crowd looked around in bewilderment, but clapped anyway,
