The Royal Sleepover. (ATTN NFFE)

Postby Imperial--japan » Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:15 pm

Edo, The Imperial Palace, 4:00PM

It was about four o clock in the afternoon, and Empress Kaguya Sumeragi and her sister Tianzi were making preparations for their guests arrival. Today was going to be important regarding future political relations with other nations in the region, and personal relations with it's leaders which would also effect future political relations. "Sister when will they arrive"? Tianzi asked. "I would assume around six or seven considering that's what the invitation said". Empress Kaguya responded. Tianzi nodded. "How about we go clean up before they all arrive. Your hair is a wreck". Tianzi blushed and nodded. "O-Ok". She stuttered.

4:20 PM
As the two royals slipped into proper attire after bathing and such they sighed. "Man I hope everything goes smoothly". Kaguya muttered to herself. If things took a turn for the worse she might end up having to make some serious apologies next time she got the chance to. However she didn't see that happening and took Tianzi's hand. "Is there anything you want to do before our guests arrive? Everyone tells me preparations have been taken care of". Kaguya asked. "Hmmm....well I would like to play checkers with you....then we can watch the sunset later"! Tianzi said as Kaguya smiled. "Sure here let me go get the board".

6:00 PM
It was getting dark and Tianzi and Kaguya had been happy to spend some quality time together. However now that it was almost time for the guests to arrive they would have to be ready. As the two stood just inside the main gate to wait they both watched the falling sunset together. "It's pretty ain't it sis"? Tianzi asked her older sister. At that moment Kaguya giggled a bit. "I never noticed before, but it really is". She said before they were both silent before the setting sun.

Outside of the compound there was a black car with government markings waiting for permission to enter. Inside the car was the leader of the Kingdom of La Dorada, the Generalísima: Josefina Rosales Olivares. She sat and looked at the wall that covered the palace in Edo. Imperial--japan seemed alot like the kingdom's territory Fuso, however this place was an independent nation and a powerful one, an equal in the NFFE. First impressions were important as she would get to know her neighbors, she wore semi-casual clothing.

She thought her ministers would acompany her however it seems that most wouldn not, Ortega Guevara was "busy" which means the ex-mafioso may be doing things she should cover up. Her regular white collar workers like Echeverría, García and Olivetti were busy with paperwork. Plainview was on a "trip" in the People's Republic of Las Palmeras. This left her with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Antonio Iglesias. He wore something that resembled the 1980's Miami Vice look.

Josefina looked at a picture of her ministers, 5 out of six weren't here and she wondered if Iglesias would be lonely..
Minister of Defense- Ramón Ortega Guevara (top right), Minister of Foreign Affairs- José Antonio Iglesias (top left),Minister of Public Affairs-Martin Gonzales Echeverría (next to Olivetti), Minister of the Enviornment- Russell Plainview (next to García), Minister of Education-Federico Álvarez García (far lower right), Minister of Health- Michael Olivetti (far lover left)

He talked, "This is the place?" Josefina nodded, "This is my first sleepover, and I'm not even royalty...that figurehead Tanizaki is."

They looked at the gate through tinted windows and waited for it to open.

As the large steel gate slowly opened Tianzi grabbed her sisters attention. "Sis look their here", She said. Empress Kaguya nodded at her sister and approached the entrance to the palace to greet the first arriving guests. As she watched the vehicle approach she kept a firm pose and a friendly appearance. After all first impressions were always a big deal. Kaguya and Tianzi waved towards the vehicle to grab their attention.

The car made it's way to the palace, Iglesias saw the pair of sisters as they greeted and he knew they couldn't see them due to the tinted windows, Josefina sighed to relax herself on this first impression when a cell phone call interrupted her silence. She answered, "That...TV host Political Dissident...went....to...Las Palmeras with a...makeshift submarine!?"

Iglesias told her to relax as they walked out. She acted she was.

Two black SUV's escorted a limousine as it pulled up in front of the compound. No fuss was made, no cliche armed guards stood outside their vehicles wielding assault rifles or sub-machine guns. From the car, only one figure alighted carrying nothing but a bag and that bokken she dared not to leave the palace without. It was her only real protection (she carried no small arms or concealed weapons), but more than that it seemed to define her these days. She'd admit to the tension anyway - after all, this was her first trip outside the Federation. Her advisers had pushed her to go to this one despite her being ill-at-ease about traveling overseas. Still, as Shogun she had duties to comply with, and maintaining good relations with the other entities that comprised the empire was one of them.

She stood outside the gate and faced the large doors as the small convoy sped away into the early evening. She wore nothing that would give away her identity (only the highest ranking officers, the governess-generals and the court ministers even knew what she looked like), and kept a cool composure like she always did even back home. Donning a simple schoolgirls' uniform that was made mandatory by the Federation for all to wear on formal or semi-formal events, she hesitated at first but she eventually knocked (The Federation's Palace does not have a doorbell or intercom, nor has the Shogun ever had to acquaint herself with one. This is alien to her).

The black Toyota Kuraun Asurīto was on its way to the Imperial Palace in Edo. Inside, a princess of royal blood. Since the country was having elections, it would not be wise to the Prime Minister attending this event, and the Emperor was feeling a little ill, so he could not leave the Imperial Palace in Tōkyō. Therefore, Her Imperial Highness Princess Hanekawa Tsubasa, one of the daughters of the Emperor, accepted to represent Aenglaland in this visit. Temporary relieved from university duties, she was there to establish good relations with the other leaders attending. She has a great knowledge in politics, which made her a perfect choice, and despiste being a Princess, she is a humble person. She is also friendly girl...until a certain level.

The 19 years old humble princess sat in the car, talking on the phone with her younger sister.

"...and as long you do not make such a mess, everything will be alright." Hanekawa said in a calm tone.

"But nēchan, this is making me mad! I just want to grab him and kick him right in his..." her sister said.

"Mattaku Aiko... You must refrain from doing that. Just show him that less pleasant face you have. I am sure it will be enough."

"..You think?"

"Hai, I think. Besides..." Hanekawa voice suddenly changed to a more serious tone "...if even this do not work then you can simply wait after school and do whatever you wanted to do. I am sorry Aiko, but I am arriving at the Imperial Palace in Edo and I can not speak more now."

"...I will see what I can do then. Thank you nēchan. Have a nice stay." her sister said before the pi pi sound signaling the end of the call was heard. Hanekawa closed her flip style keitai before giving a look to the Imperial Palace. It was not the first time she would do something like this, representing her country. Early this year she had been chosen to another state visit and she was very successful, surprising everyone with her knowledge and education, despiste being young. As the car approached the gate, she saw another 3 cars stopped near, with a beautiful woman standing near the gate. After the black Toyota stopped also near the gate, Hanekawa herself opened the car door, grabbed her bag and took a deep breath while she was exiting the car. Her hair was tied in a single ponītēru. She was wearing casual clothes, as she disliked to wear expensive dresses. In her opinion, expensive dresses were "not always necessary, since the beauty of people lies in their personality and not in a dress". After closing the car and under the watchful eyes of the two guards that were watching her from the driver seat and the front passenger seat of the Toyota, she slowly walked towards the gate.

The sound of another arriving guest didn't startle the Shogun, but was definitely enough to get her attention. Is the palace always this busy? Well, I suppose that is only expected from a state as busy as this, she thought. This one seemed to also have that simple air to her as well. She wore casual clothes, which got Saeko thinking if she was a common visitor or someone important but like her, chose to water the attire down to keep attention and the prying eyes of the lecherous media away.

The only clue she really had to figure it all out was the fact that the vehicle that brought her here wasn't leaving. It was getting dark, and it was already with some difficulty that she tried to look at who was in the driver's seat, to no avail of course. As the unidentified woman approached the gate as well, she began to wonder if she was a head-of-state too, another fellow invitee attending the Royal Sleepover.

"Good evening", she gently greeted the charming-looking woman with a bow as they both stood in front of the gate. She dared not to say anymore, at least until she was sure this person was who she thought she was.

She cursed herself for not taking the time to familiarize herself with the appearances of the heads-of-state of the allies, but throughout the course of her rule as the Grand Commander of the Federation, the only real communication she had with these people up until now was through contracts, communiques and such. There had been no turmoil throughout the empire up until now, and due to multiple security premises she was not allowed to show her face, and channeled orders and decrees through generals and colonels that comprised the Stratocracy.

Shimata, I'll make a fool out of myself like this. I'll probably look like the most backward person there! Kami-sama taskete! T^T

As Hanekawa approached the gate, slowly walking, she noticed with a closer look that the woman standing in front of the gate was wearing very beautiful casual clothes. This is good. Simple yet beautiful..., she thought, remembering what her younger sister had told her before leaving Tōkyō. Aiko tried hard to make her wear those stylish dresses. It was a long, black dress and when she tried it, she looked like a creature of those western tales, called vampire. At least, this was the first thought about the dress but since she did not feel confortable wearing one of those and, like she said to Aiko "I am going there to a sleepover, not to bite their necks", she chose instead to simply "be herself" and wear what she really wanted. This was one of the things she most appreciated. Deciding what to wear, not having to follow imperial protocol all time. It might not mean much to others, but for her it is a sign of personal choice, which many in the Imperial Family did not have due to protocol. Because of the great freedom she enjoy in her life, Hanekawa consider herself just a normal girl.

As she reached the gate, the beautiful foreign lady looked at Hanekawa and while she greeted the princess with a bow, she spoke: "Good evening."

Two simple words. Yet to start anything, sometimes one or two words are better than long introductions. At least that is what Hanekawa thinks. However, the beautiful lady looked somehow nervous, even if she was doing a good job hiding it. With the natural education which the people of her country have, Hanekawa spoke in a gentle tone.

"Konbanwa. I am Hanekawa Tsubasa, representing my country, Aenglaland." She then bowed "Doozo yoroshiku." she said. The princess did not added her imperial title during this introduction for a simple reason. Revealing titles so early during an introduction could make the lovely lady, which by the way imposed great respect, a little more nervous. That is what she learned before. Titles could be known later, when people feel more confortable. For now, there was no reason to make the situation more...sensible. Of course, she could be also wrong. The foreign lady could not be nervous at all and probably Hanekawa had understood this wrong. Even so Hanekawa decided to be simple. Being polite and simple never hurt anyone.

Suddenly, the Surpreme-President-For-Life of Helthon arrives in a black stretched Limo 50 meters long, guarded by armed escort.
Followed by six dozen elite security guards, and ten republican Super-soldiers.

Not even invited, the Supreme-President-For-Life observes the scene, writes down a note, and quickly leaves.

All the other guests are startled by the random visit, and two minutes later the Helthon Republican Air Force flies overhead, carrying the President back to Helthon.

OOC: You have no business being on this thread, and the IC premise that you're able to sneak a force of such nature into another nation's territory, without being detected or expecting to dodge the consequences is godmodding, and utterly ridiculous. Ignored and rendered void.

Be gone, and have a nice day.

Josefina did not know what to do, their GAZ-14 looked older compared to the SUV and the Toyota vehicle with the other foreign leaders, she seemed tense, still angered by the news. Josefina liked getting what she wanted, and she was not used to bad news, the fact a famous political dissident used a sub to escape to Las Palmeras made her twitch her eyebrow slightly. The good thing in being oblivious to the greetings were that she took the minutes to breath and actually relax.

Iglesias was there. Josefina began to talk to him: "Hay más autos allá. ¿Llegaron mas invitados? Ay, ni se…toma mi celular."
(There are more cars over there. Did the other guests arrive? Oh, I don't know...take my cell phone.)

The tall Iglesias looked at her superior after putting on her cell phone, "Maybe we should talk like this." Josefina said "Yes. Yes. Eh, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be greeted first by our host or if we should approach them. Should we bow?"

Josefina breathed heavily, for them it was always about presentation, it meant everything for a nation in an everlasting arms race. That meant taking the bull by the horns, she calmly walked up to Empress Kaguya while Iglesias followed, and then she smiled and extended her hand to make a handshake which clasped the hand of the Empress, then Josefina ended things by clenching Kaguya's hand with her other one. "Hello, Your Majesty. I am Josefina Rosales Olivares of The Kingdom of La Dorada." All while this happened Iglesias did something different, he leaned down to smile and touch Tianzi's hand.

"It's nice to meet you Josefina, I am Kaguya Sumeragi, and this is my younger sister Tianzi". The empress said with delight. In the meantime she looked over to the other guests who had arrived as well. "It is such a pleasure to meet all of you, but if you could please follow me inside the palace that would be great. It's about to rain soon afterall". Kaguya smiled at everyone who made it on time to the sleepover. However it was a shame that some didn't seem to want to attend.

Upon entering the palace with her guests Kaguya looked at them all with such compassion. "I believe me and my sister introduced ourselves outside, and now that I have your attention may I ask, is anyone hungry or thirsty"?

Josefina thought about the situation in an outright exaggerated fashion, as a guest in the Palace she was free to make an order for food, however even a simple thing like tone could make a humble and downright innocent request seem like an ungrateful order. Thinking over the variety of foods that the Imperial Palace's services might have made her mind feel puzzled, even if it was for a split second which could only be seen as a moment of pondering to any other person. She would specifically ask for polvorón cookies and black coffee...however she a simple descision made her unsure.

She ended up saying, "If it isn't a bother, I'd like black coffee." For her Minister, the thought process was more clear. He was a guest and no media figures were around. He only hesistated to think, he could have local sake or he could have his preference. Force of habit made him say, "I'd like a margarita please."

Princess Hanekawa Tsubasa followed, like the other guests, Empress Sumeragi and her sister inside the palace. It was a beautiful palace, and suddenly she reminded of Kōkyo, the Imperial Residence where she lived with her family at Tōkyō. It would be the first night she would sleep at another palace. Shortly after, Empress Sumeragi looked to all guests with a kind look and spoke.

"I believe me and my sister introduced ourselves outside, and now that I have your attention may I ask, is anyone hungry or thirsty?" the lovely Kōgō said to them. One of the guests, Josefina, asked for black coffee. Her Minister, however, chose to have a margarita. Hanekawa was still thinking about what to chose. Coffee would be good. But she had coffee during the flight. Maybe tea... But tea would be nice if everyone chose to have tea too, which was not the case for now... What she really needed was to relax a little. And there was a perfect thing to relax...

"If it is not a problem, I would like some sake please." Hanekawa said to the Empress.
