Silly Karaig, fire cannot rain. Fire can only pour.

Bitch please: SPECTRE does what they want, and creates what they want.

I shall make fire rain and clouds pour.

My next post, which should be up in one or two days, will feature Snowflake kicking ass on the seven seas. The one after that will feature our big baddies plotting along like nobody's business. Both posts will also feature and conclude the Alliance raid on Rota, and subsequently conclude the current act.

I will not be posting tonight. Sorry for any inconveniences, but I respectfully request you deal with it. Feel free to resolve the action and finish the act without me. I simply have family issues, and midterms this week. I doubt anyone wants to wait another week for one post. SO, conclude the act since you're all so eager to move forward.

As per your request, I finally present the details of the USNA government. It may be months late, but it's finally here.

The United States of North America
The government of the United States of North America is not unlike the government of the United States. Remaining are three branches of government, legislative, judicial, and executive. Each branch of government holds the powers as granted in the United States constitution. However after the acquisition of Mexico and Canada, a few changes became necessary to adopt to the new people and land.

The government expands to become a federal constitutional republic featuring a grand total of 100 states, each having their own state governments. There are also three federal districts, one in the US, Canada, and Mexico. These states are organized into three regions. They are Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Executive Branch
The executive branch is ran by the President, Vice President, and Cabinet. The President is elected via a direct vote from all the citizens of the USNA. The President selects his Vice President and Cabinet, though the Cabinet members must be approved by the Senate.

The President is commander in chief of the military, can veto bills (though can be overridden by Congress), and appoint justices to the Supreme Court also subject to Senate approval. The Cabinet consists of four members, each who run one of the federal departments. They are as follows:

-Department of Defense
-Department of State
-Department of the Treasury
-Department of Justice

In addition to these officers, there are three federal governors for each region. Each federal governor serves as leeway between the federal and state governments. They carry the concerns of the region as a whole and act as advisers to the President. These federal governors are elected via popular vote by the citizens of each region.

Judicial Branch
The Supreme Court and lower federal courts, whose judges are appointed by the president with Senate approval, interpret laws and overturn those they find unconstitutional.

The Supreme Court decides matters of national importance. Below these are the three regional courts. The Regional Governors fill these courts with justices. also subject to Senate approval. Below the Regional Courts are the various district courts.

Legislative Branch
The bicameral Congress, made up of the Senate and the House of Representatives, makes federal law, declares war, approves treaties, has the power of the purse, and has the power of impeachment, by which it can remove sitting members of the government.

The Senate is the first of the two Houses. It consists of 200 members, two from each state. They hold the powers laid out to them in the US Constitution. They are elected by each state's legislature.

The House of Representatives consists of members elected by the people within each congressional district. Their number is determined via proportional spread of the population in each area.

Final Notes
The USNA government closely follows the vision laid out by the Founding Fathers. They are a very limited government system, with most matters being handled via private means. A strong non-intervention policy had been followed. The USNA never got involved in WWII. This policy is one the majority of the citizenry are happy to support. Prime is placed on local governments.

Hey hey, don't come at me when it comes to coming late then never, I mean that is the basis of my entire posting career

Upon looking it over: Alright, I can see/work with this, I mean I better because I doubt you would really rework it (The only issue being the drastic reduction of the Cabinet Members, I mean clearly if there was a proportional increase in Congress to better represent the people, their should be a proportional increase in the Cabinets, considering you neglected to include such important areas such as Department of State, Department of Labor, etc)

To answer you and Loli,

This is a heavily libertarian based government. It only handles the absolutely necessary function for government to have. Everything else is handled by the people themselves or small businesses. Of which there are many. You won't find many large corporations in this America.

And I do include the Department of State Loli. I deliberately excluded the Departments of Labor and Education. They are stupid and useless wastes of money. Though I'd prefer we not get into debates on political and economic models on here. It being a character based RP, we can just assume libertarian or socialist governments could work without getting into nitty gritty details.
