Nope. In the US, you at least get to choose your head of government and legislating chambers. In the EU, you don't get to choose your head of government (and nine out of ten people don't even know that we have a head of government, revealing to you just how sneaky those rats are) and the one legislative chamber we are allowed to choose holds barely any power at all.

Europe is becoming an autocracy in every sense of the word, and they're doing it in such a subtle way that barely anyone notices. An additional law here, some extra rules there, and bang, before we know it we're all getting fucked up the ass by uncle Rompuy.

We don't get to choose anymore. We're given the illusion of choice while the Wall Street banks silently fuck us in the ass as well. Romney and Obama are both Goldman Sachs little bitches. And our Congressmen are too darn stupid to fight for their legislative power anymore. They keep handing it over to the President. This starting to sound like Star Wars yet?
