Also, what is a 'Neostigma stone', and how is he using it to, what I think he is doing, disabling engines powered by enslaved souls?

EDIT: I'm getting the feeling you're just posting for the sake of posting at this point. Any truth to this?

My mistake, I misread.

And the black stone that Alexander gave to Dugal. The one that we established would allow Dugal to disable Neostigma powered weapons?

I'm posting to finish the story, which is the purpose of posting. So in a way, yes.

Ah, now I know what you meant. You had me confused when you said 'neostigma stone'. Though, I must correct you: Janner named the entity within that soulstone a 'metastigma', as they are very much altered versions of the common neostigmata.

I'm posting to finish the story, which is the purpose of posting. So in a way, yes.

If you are posting for the sake of posting and not because you're enjoying the roleplay and the story, I won't look at you angrily if you were to give me control over Dugal.

This last act is just barely two pages long, but has been in a quantum state of dead and not dead since september the sixth: almost a full five months. At this rate, this act will take even longer than the dreadfully long previous act, which took eight months to finish. EIGHT. That was one entire month per page, while the current act is going even slower than that, at two-and-a-half months per page.

Just think about it.

The longer this takes, the more I consider that maybe FoG3 should end it all, and let this rest in peace.

Anyone can feel free to jump ship. I'm enjoying the hell out of the setting and will continue using it for future roleplays for a long time.

I was being smart silly. Of course I still care about this story. But I can't post when others don't. I've done just as much waiting on others as people have waited on me.

I still got plans for FOG Book 2 and I'm with Aggy. I'll keep posting and writing the continued the story of FOG until I fell the story has reached it's natural conclusion.

Then, the kinetic forces he had building up around the artillery group since Dugal spoke suddenly burst inwards, pushing the cannons towards a single point, grouping them together as tightly as possible so that Dugal and Snowflake could take them out easily with their combined powers.

But thanks. :P.

Well, three things.

  • You say '...the kinetic forces he had building up around the artillery group since Dugal spoke suddenly burst inwards...' However, there was no mention at all in any of your previous posts in which Milus began 'building up' the 'kinetic forces'. If you weren't fighting NPC's right now, I'd be calling godmod.
  • Secondly, it seems highly inappropiate for Milus to already intensively begin preparing to attack the Roman soldiers when Dugal, the commander in charge of the mission, had not given his consent yet. It's like a WW1 soldier jumping out of the trenches solely because his officer may or may not give him the order to charge at the enemy.
  • Thirdly, the entire concept of 'building up kinetic forces' makes no sense to me. I am no physicist, but surely kinetic energy is movement, or in other words: a moving car is said to have kinetic energy, whereas a car that is standing still does not. So how exactly does one 'store' kinetic energy into a non-moving object?

Well, there was no mention because the 'since Dugal spoke' bit refers to the part where Dugal says "We'll do it, but it shouldn't take more than five minutes max, yada yada ya", which happened just before my post. Now, I would have mentioned earlier in that one post, but I figured that mentioning it later would work as well either way because it is what Milus was supposed to do.

For the second bit, well, he started preparing to attack when Dugal said the above, which as you might remember also included a bit that said "Snowflake, Milus, group them together" or something to that effect, so, at least as far as I can see, Dugal had already given his consent.

For the third bit, you may have a point. I see it as follows: The kinetic energy he can control is linked to how focused he is. Thus, to control greater ammounts of kinetic energy, he must have a greater ammount of focus. At the moment he was focusing to manage to control enough kinetic energy to group the tanks together, and so I expressed it as building up kinetic energy. It may not be exact, but that's what I meant. And I never did say that he stored it into a non-moving object.

Apologies for not directly quoting. My internet is kind of a bitch right now.

I think the main point of Zark's post is that Milus used his telekinetic powers to push the cannons together after Dugal gave the command. The rest is just flavor on Zark's part.

Anyways any updates? I've been dealing with some BS lately so I've been a bit out of it. Good news is I'm gonna quit my job in a couple of months. A-hole boss has driven me to insanity.
