I've had criticism on his posting in the past, but I have never been against him (re)joining the roleplay. If the application is up to par, then I don't see why not to let him in.

You may have proposed this as a joke, but it's actually a great way to discover the depths of the personalities of the characters proposed by our applicants. How about this:

"It is a quiet wednesday evening as you are on your way to catch up with a close friend of yours at a local Chinese restaurant, when you suddenly experience an utterly crushing feeling of impending doom coursing through your very existance. A horrifying voice speaks to you from within the depths of your soul, and whether by instinct or because of something else entirely, you realize that some sort of malevolent entity has invaded your mind, and is turning your own thoughts and indeed your own self against yourself. You slowly but surely feel yourself losing control, and you have to fight just to remain conscious.

What do you do? How do you react? And most importantly: how do you escape from having your entire existance stolen from you by this overwhelming creature of darkness?"

I updated the application with the new RP sample that Aggy wrote. I also updated the OP with an updated version of the story that I tried to condense as much as I could. Obviously, there are many events left out but I feel I got the meat of what has happened. Let me know if you think anything else could use updating.

Dugal Cain led a group of allies into a deep labyrinth under Rome to rescue Bismarck.

That's not right. They entered the labyrinth to return the Will of Peter to Bismarck.

Other than that, the summary feels informative enough.

So, here's a question, War, why did you never continue on with my plan when I dropped out for 5 months? It would of freed up some of the ends you needed, such as the Aspect of Greed, and also give the Shadow something or others a large influx of souls

also, re accepting of Apps? Awesome to the max, I'll work on a few soon enough

We also went extremely slow and I sacrificed plot lines in the interests of trying to help things speed along.

Description of Powers: He has the ability to generate three dimensional images out of a non-corporeal smoke substance. Size is not a limiting factor, within reason (i.e. He can't create an illusion the size of a planet, but a small building is no problem). He can make them almost instantaneously, and needs to have seen an object to create it. He can make the images move, though for more complex structures (such as human decoys) he needs considerably more concentration. This is also a soul based power.

Abilities: Pick-pocketing, above average flexibility, multilingual (French, Italian, Spanish, English), Gifted Pianist, Good Cold Reader, Ventriloquy
Weaknesses: Poor communication skills, low intellect due to lack of schooling

Short Biography: (This is based on the assumption that we will pick up after the war has already started) Coming from a life of privilege in Barcelona, Ryan Vulpes discovered in his third year of Military-School that being a con-artist with illusionary powers is much more fun than his parents' plan for him; taking over the family law practice. Ryan bounced around from country to country for the 5 years, pulling off some impressive white-collar thefts. Shortly after the War began, Ryan abandoned his art, moving from safe haven to safe haven until he found his calling in the darker times. People, mistaking his illusionary gifts for reality manipulation powers, would come to him and beg for fallen loved ones to be revived, even if only briefly. When he could no longer stand turning people away, he finally gave in. People would bring him photos and videos of people, and he would create illusions of their lost friends and family. From there he became a work of wonder and amusement to every place he lived. He would use his illusions in street shows to imitate every power imaginable, all just to entertain the tired and broken people. He became a miracle worker, and whenever someone started to get close enough to see that it was just smoke and mirrors, he disappeared, drifting on to somewhere else.
