Bent Space (FT, CLOSED- TG ME TO JOIN)

[Wirbel]

Fifty Seven light years from the star of Yaral, where the planet Wirbel is located, an odd area of warp space was discovered. A single Solomon-class starship was sent into the warped area to investigate. It did not come out for thirty seven hours. When it returned to Wirbel, we were told that it lead to another star system with a planet that looked like a paradise and that it might be good for expensive housing, recreation, and a tourist spot- as long as it was keep the way it is. The starship also revealed that there were several other, less habitable- but resource rich terrestrial planets. In the outer area of the star system, there was a gas giant with several barren moons and one volcanically active moon. Beyond the star system was many light years of nothing. Looking up in the sky, you see nothing. The starship then had to find the way back. They found that to go back, you have to fly in a straight line from the gas planet to the star. Your vision of the star will become more warped as you go. Eventually, the star will dissappear and you will see the normal universe again.

Wirbel is planning to colonize an area of the "paradise" planet. It will build a space station in orbit to act as a starport for commerce and exploration of this weird place. Anyone who helps us explore will get free land in the system and might be allowed to name a planet or two. The star will be a democratic decision between nations.

Three Solomon-class starships flew towards the warped area. They entered this space-time rift and went back to the "paradise" planet. Then General Herman Riese said the following. "Today this beautiful planet has been claimed by the Interstellar Empire of Wirbel. It will be protected and productive. Real Estate should flourish on this planet. A space station will be put into orbit to serve as a platform for commerce and exploration into the far planets of this system and possibly beyond."
