Violent protests in Hippostanian Africa - DMLC rebels blamed for inciting violence
Hippostanian Africa has been a Hippostanian overseas possession for over a century
WAVERLEY - Protests in several towns and cities in Hippostanian Africa turned violent this weekend after the police attempted to disperse a large group of pro-independence protesters. The protests that have continued for three days, which according to governor Alan White are incited by the marxist ''Democratic Movement for the Liberation of Cameroun'' must be quelled to bring stability into the last colony in Africa.
The protesters have demanded full independence and sovereignty for the overseas possession, despite the fact that Hippostanian Africa has been a vital part of Hippostania and vice versa since 1878. The protests which have been the largest protests in Hippostanian Africa since the early 70's, have been largely quelled by the police. Prosecution of the protesters that have been caught will be easy, due to the law that bans any organizations, parties advocating independence, and assemblies of people who support independence for the overseas possession.
We managed to contact Governor Alan White and ask his opinion about the protests. ''These protests are a plot by the DMLC to undermine the freedom and stability in Hippostanian Africa. It's a well-known fact that the DMLC are just a bunch of jungle marxists who'd ruin the life for everyone here in Hippostanian Africa, and quite frankly I am sickened that some honest, hardworking people are participating in these protests. It's disgusting.
While the protests have largely died down, several people were injured and some cars were set on fire after riot police and protesters clashed in the neighbourhood of St. Thomas in the capital of Russellville on Saturday night. There were also some minor clashes on the day before.
