Abortion Pro-life or Pro-choice

Postby Vatican Administration » Fri Mar 23, 2012 4:31 pm

In my Country, the Empire Of The Holy Vatican Administration, abortion is immoral, which means its illegal, the only exeption is if the mother is in danger. Scientist has proved that human life starts at conception. I want to hear your opinions and vote for pro-life or pro-choice.

The TBRE allows abortion up to the first trimester. Abortion policy was reversed when all morality-related laws were reversed, due to lack of a definition of "moral".

Abortion laws differ from state to state, but it is most common for the state to choose, rather than the woman.

Two states have banned abortion, 7 states are pro-choice and the rest are state-to-decide.

The Batory Empire has no laws restricting abortion. It's regarded as entirely the domain of the woman (not mother... the attitude is that to be a mother one must actually have a baby) what to do with her uterus.

In Lahuland, abortion is legal as long as it's recommended by a trusted doctor. So, I voted "pro-life".

Thankfully we are beyond this divisive argument, With development of artificial birthing centers any woman who has an unwanted pregnancy can opt to have the child transferred into a artificial uterus made from cloned cells and walk away not pregnant for no cost. For GEMs the matter is even simpler their advanced biosystems allow them to become pregnant at will or choose not to become pregnant. Thus every child is a wanted child for them.

I suppose this makes us both pro-life & pro-choice so I voted for both options on your poll.

Abortion is legal until the second foetus pops out of women's vagina: bodily sovereignty is one of the inalienable rights and is regarded to be fundamental.

The average Calisotan is decidedly pro-life, and most State Administrations will not allow abortions without some kind of a driving medical need.

Federal Government authorities have always been slightly more conflicted, not on the issue of Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice, but on whether abortion policy is or is not something to be left to the inidivudal States.

In Agora 33, abortion is legal. It is best for the child and the family to let the mother make the choice.

I refuse to use the ridiculous "pro-life"/"pro-choice" terminology, but in Eahland, abortion is legal and the decision of the pregnant woman alone, before the beginning of the third trimester. In the third trimester, it is legal only if the continued pregnancy threatens the health of the mother.

The reasoning is that before the third trimester, while the fetus may be technically alive and technically human, it is not in any way, by any measurable standard, a person (and if your Vatican "scientists" claim that they've proven when (or if!) ensoulification happens, I don't think I want to entrust my life, limb, or even pocket change to any device designed on their principles of "science"). In the third trimester, as actual brain functions begin to develop and the fetus becomes capable of independent survival, the answer to that question gets hazier, so, on the theory that six months is plenty of time to get an abortion if you want one, that's where we place the arbitrary line.

Pro-life, if you got knocked up as a teen, well that's your problem, either the child joins the military programs, or you and your "husband" continue working, or we'll shoot all 3 of you. if your husband left you then we will find him and make him dig his own damn grave (or jump into the power-station incinerators ). if you aren't a teen but you didn't want the child then that too is your bad.

Abortion is completely legal before the third trimester. After that, only pressing health circumstances allow termination of the pregnancy. While it's impossible to determine the line where sentience begins, it is possible to determine the line where most babies will survive if separated from their mothers.

Large amounts of unwanted children are never a good thing. It only makes sense to provide proper contraceptive options to our citizens.

Strictly pro life with exception to incest. We have adoption centers where you can drop off a child up until 2 weeks after birth, no questions asked.

Abortion is entirely up to the pregnant person, no restrictions of any kind. But since there is no such thing as an unplanned pregnancy, abortions are very rare.
