Some suggestions

Postby Drumm » Fri Mar 23, 2012 7:41 am

This is more of a question for people who have been on here longer (more experienced). But I have a question. How can I bring down the taxes in my country? I know it doesn't really matter, but 80% is really annoying me. I have an excellent education system, health care system, low crime rates, great tourism, honest politics (for the majority), strong military. But I don't want the taxes to be so high. Any suggestions? Is there a way to cut down on the taxes besides totally screwing what I've already done to have excellent education, healthcare, etc. ??

Firstly, wrong forum - you probably want "Gameplay".

And secondly Nationstates is exaggerated - e.g. if you have a large healthcare system you'll have a massive tax rate (in game), if you cut these things you'll have lower taxes, a better economy, but be a more horrible place to live. It's a lose-lose situation.

From what I can tell, increasing government expenditure (unless it is accompanied by cuts in another department) generally increases the tax rate. This is a way NS nations actually makes more sense than RL nations...
