Why do you want to RP with CoPS?:
1: I find the general idea of taking sentient - sapient - ponies from an idealized world and placing them in a real-world setting to be intriguing.
2: I would like to be able to improve my writing skills, especially characterization (my traditional weakness). I believe working with such high-quality RPers will give me the opportunity to do that.
3: I am a fan of the Friendship is Magic series.

The Federated States of Sakurakoku is a heavily-populated federation of states that originally formed out of a band of refugees from the Far East looking for a new place to call home. It is a nation with a strong democratic tradition that places great social emphasis on the attainment of knowledge. The city of Akemitani is a medium-sized city that holds an advanced research lab conducting unspecified experiments, one of which for some unspecified reason went catastrophically out of control and teleported everything in a 15 kilometer radius into the CoPS world. As such, there are no sapient non-humans in the area to begin with. Indeed, the inhabitants aren't even aware such things are even possible, chiefly because they are preoccupied with figuring out what just happened.

On the topic of the NSWiki articles: I'd like to help update the main article and the one on Ponyism to be current. Also, would anyone oppose the addition of a non-Pony claims section? We've got several non-ponies on the list now.

I specifically worded the article to use "characters" rather than "ponies", so non-ponies and ponies can be on the same lists. I personally don't see the need to segregate pony and non-pony characters. If you'd like to rework the lists, then have at it (that's why I opted for NSWiki to create this back when we were still deciding what to do about players claiming canonical characters), but I don't think it's really necessary.

The Terran Alliance is a Federal Republic spanning several star systems it is a multi-species federation with liberal views and general freedom and equality for all races. The modern Terran Alliance was founded in the twenty fifth century but pre alliance times had the establishment of predecessor states well documented all the way back to the twenty second century several years after the departure from earth by the first colonists. The Alliance is not militaristic inherently unless its pushed to be so circumstances it prefers diplomacy and economic cooperation over war but maintains a strong military. The Terran Alliance is a highly educated industrialized and well off nation with access to a multitude of highly advanced technologies, the alliance has eliminated natural death due to advances in medical technology cybernetics and genetic engineering. While divisions with in the nation will always exist as it is inherent with the federal system they are not overtly violent but disagreements do happen. Many of the new species integrated in to the alliance were the results of wars launched by their previous governments resulting in the Terrans annexing various worlds in to their sphere. Others such as halfings willingly joined or were gifts from benevolent "owners"
