Camelza is a vast nation full of mysteries and magic set in a slightly steampunk/magical background with many mythological features and strange phenomena occuring all over the place.Geographically,Camelza is home to three deserts, noumerous jungles, flying islands, and large productive plains in the north with magical pine forests.Camelza is ruled by Empress Tak Lak,a minor goddess who ousted her sister in a revolution,as such the upper class consists mainly of the demon races that supported Tak Lak in the revolution, while the lilith guardians of Ishtar(the previous empress),were anathematised and are still used to this day as slaves by all species in Camelza.Ponies along with Humans consist the middle class of Camelza and are both respectful members of society

Sorry to hear. You'll always have an EEYUP vote from me should you decide to return. Otherwise, adieu. It's been good RPing with you.Frenequesta wrote:I've never understood that stuff. Do you have to choose a user name first to see the chat, and if so, where does that happen?
Nicks on IRC channels are determined by using the /nick command once you're connected to a server. If you have a standalone IRC client like ircii (like I use because I'm a real man and use the command line) or Bersirc (which is what I suggest if you're a Windows user only), type the following once you have your client open (works on both Bersirc and ircii):
- Code: Select all
/server irc.rizon.net
/nick YOUR_NICK_HERE
/j #NS_CoPS
Bersirc allows you to set your nick permanently by navigating to "Tools > Manage profile...". ircii involves editing a configuration file (which also allows you to set up servers to automatically connect you to at launch; otherwise, it defaults to your logon username, at least in the Linux versions).
Some other useful commands:
/who * - lists everyone connected to the channel you're in (be sure to include the asterisk (*) for this to work right; doesn't work in some graphical clients since they already list all the users in the UI)
/nick - sets nickname
/j OR /channel - sets the channel (#NS_CoPS is ours)
/bye - quits the IRC client on ircii and other command-line clients (doesn't work on Bersirc and some other graphical ones)
/help - lists all commands on some clients
If you're a Windows user, I suggest you bite the bullet and download Bersirc from the link above, since it's free, open source, and pretty damn good. If you're a Linux or Mac OS X user, you probably have ircii already installed, but a quick Google search for "[OPERATING_SYSTEM_HERE] irc client" will give you some more options.

New Amerik wrote:Hmmm...
I have to ask, even though I understand the nature of freeform roleplay and so forth, would it be possible to establish relationships and ponies coming from an origin other than the default FiM universe in particular? I've been thinking about how my IC nation would ever actually entertain pony immigrants at all, and while I've come up with an interesting idea (Especially if I could turn it into an almost freeform roleplay in the process), I'm not so sure how others would react given its divergence from generally accepted canon.
In essence, my thought on a possible way to introduce ponies into the Holy Tee was to have one of their various military transport ships/civilian transport ships/trade vessel/diplomatic envoys (one of the above) accidentally get temporarily waylaid in a foreign and unknown universe, and have to land on the surface of a nearby planet in order to reorganize themselves and find a way to get back to the HT. The planet itself, however, is an alternate kinda Equestrian world - one in which the Royal Sisters never showed up to lead and/or Equestria was never founded - around the time of the Origin of Equestria setting. As such, the various cultures/species are not organized, and over time the Amerikan's plans turn from "get home" to "conquer world in name of Technocracy" to "help these Equines out and start forming ties between them and the Holy Technocracy in a vassal/friend like relationship". Cue wacky misadventures, some violent culture clashing, and eventually Ponies - and a reason to join the COPS, if they can get that whole 'speciesism' issue settled, ICwise.
On the one hand, there are some interesting ideas I feel like trying out (like Hoerses as a serious and sapient species, heh), but on the other hand...well, it really wouldn't be the FiM verse now, would it?
