If I posted them here, you'd still be reading it at Christmas. 2013.
Please note: Central Lothian is the direct successor to Mid Lothian*. As a result, I am still called Rebecca, I am still a Grammar Nazi and most information pertaining to ML also applies to CL (although I will be taking this time to change a few things).

* - And I may refer to the country as Mid Lothian. If I do, assume that I mean Central Lothian. (And not to be confused with "Midlothian" - I'm using that as a fascist version of CL.)

Obviously. If there is one word that describes Kalasparata, it is obviously "smart."

First of course there is the federal Constitution.

Second, there are the federal Statutes. When the Legislature is in session, they make more Statutes all the time.

Third, the Executive Decrees and Ministerial Decrees. These are promulgated by the Utenene and her Cabinet Ministers, and they usually go into more detail on the provisions of a Statute.

Then, each of the 72 Provinces has its own Constitution.

And of course the Provincial Legislatures create their own Provincial Statutes. Usually, Governors have the power to promulgate Gubernatorial Decrees as well.

Also, most sub-provincial governments (districts, counties, cities, towns, parishes etc.) have the power to promulgate Ordinances.

We have many laws and listing them all would be a futile waste of time that could be spent enforcing said laws.

You may not commit treason against the leader, the government, the culture, or the nation.

That's it in a nutshell. What qualifies as treason would likely fill a few pages, but even then, the entire body of law is likely less than that of a democracy's small town.

Foreigners would do best to remember that robbery, fraud, and murder are almost never considered treason. This means that these things are legal. If you plan on visiting, bring a big gun (preferably of the particle beam or plasma variety), wear lots of body armor, and always watch out for tricks. There are no cops to protect you here.

Overall to answer your question, enough to make our Imperial citizens to be very law-abiding.

The Galladian Empire literally only has two laws:

-Do not kill.
-Do not commit treason.

Anything else is fair game.

We have very few laws aside from those preventing murder, assault, rape, theft, vandalism and fraud. As for shipping, we only have laws regarding explosives and drugs. Though both are legal here, it is illegal to import these things without permit. Exporting them is not an issue though.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

Most of our laws are approved by the House of Nobles but there are also Imperial Decrees to deal with emergency situations.

As regards shipping, we have strict laws regulating the importation of drugs and weapons, and banning altogether pornography.
There are tariffs on luxury goods such as automobiles and computers. No export laws, other than safety inspections of ships and aircraft, as we have nothing significant to export other than fish which comes under food safety regulations.
