Both of them had economic policy that would prove disastrous after their time (in Jackson's case, the Panic of 1837 and in Reagan's case, this clusterfuck).

It didn't come as funny because I've read so much into the President's that it's not surprising.

I absolutely despise Andrew Jackson. John Quincy Adams definitely deserved a re-election. Just take a look at his achievements compared to Jackson:

Ambassador to the Netherlands (1794-1797)
Ambassador to Prussia (1796-1801)
Senator from Massachusetts (1803-1808)
Ambassador to Russia (1809-1814)
Ambassador to the UK (1814-1817)
Secretary of State (1817-1825)

Meanwhile, Jackson killed a bunch of soldiers in 1812. A populist demagogue with no experience managed to take the Presidency and screw us over, and got off-scot-free because his bad ideas only took effect when Van Buren got into office.

You're all horribly, terribly wrong.

Nixon was a great president and a decent practitioner of realpolitik, he opened up China to the West and ended Vietnam nominally in our favor (although that would change a few years later). Was he a 'scumbag'? Maybe, but I don't really care so long as he does good for our country, Clinton was a scumbag for cheating on his wife, but that doesn't diminish him as a president.

Obama hasn't done anything particularly bad, not that I like him, but hes not the worst however.
