Just some general information on Sharon and Jessica:

Sharon is Sianna's child, however due to her training under Raphael she has far more self control, and the fact she has drunk his blood on a number of occasions she is stronger and faster than her 'mother'. While she does not have Sianna's ability to pretend to be a human she can make herself nearly impossible to detect (through sight, smell or hearing) as long as she is in a shadow. She uses a twin dagger fighting style, and carries a number of spare silver daggers. She also has unarmed combat training.

Jessica is a 5th Generation Pureborn Vampire. Her father was reborn by Raphael, but at the insistence of her mother he tried to kill Raphael a few months after Jessica was born. His plan failed and both parents were executed, however Rhoran adopted Jessica as his own daughter and tried to look after her as best he could. She uses twin whips and is actually a match for Rhoran in speed and strength, but technique wise she is very bad, only having trained for 8 years in her chosen weapons. Her whips are reinforced metal fibers lined with silver strands making them very strong, yet still flexible enough for use as a whip.

Not sure how much of this information has already been posted, but thought it might be useful to post it here in this form. If anyone wants a similar post for the rest of Raphael's vampires either post here or TG me.

That's brilliant - I found myself trawling through the thread trying to find the details for the vampires, and I wrote myself a little list of them and a few details so that I could keep track of the names. I found myself on occasion throwing a mental track as a name that I couldn't place was thrown up.

Not that I expect to use her much but for completness:

Yrissa is a turned Vampire Knight Captain who serves Raphael. She was partly trained by Rhoran and her fighting style revolves around using crossbow bolts tipped with various substances (depending on her foe) as darts. She can throw these bolts even faster than most guns, but usually throws them fast enough so that they do not make a sonic boom as they fly through the air. She has a (much weaker) version of Sharon's shadow hiding ability and if Sharon needs a hand with something Yrissa is usually the first she will call.

The vampire characters really don't use much in the way of firearms, do they?

All of Raphael's vampires move faster than a bullet and can punch harder. Guns rely on stored energy, a gun's impact is not affected by the wielders physical abilities. So once a person's physical abilities get higher than that of a gun it makes more sense to switch to a weapon that is affected by your physical abilities (melee or throwing weapons)

The only reason Aurora does is becuase of the sheer quanity she carries and can use. Plus she is very good at predicting how someone will dodge, so you dodge the first bullet into the second.

I assumed it'd be a reason similar to that.

Also, I figured that a bladed weapon would stand more of a chance of a "complete" kill of a supernatural creature - removing the head, for instance. A bullet may also just pass clean through, therefore rendering the bullet, be it silver or UV, essentially pointless. And a shot to a limb could well be healed quickly, but the removal of that limb would be much more of a inconvienence.

And the final reason is that most of the more powerful vampires were born in a time before guns and simply stick to what they know. The vampries seemed very structured around age, and since all the oldest vampires prefer to use melee weapons just because they always did it encouridges the younger ones to do the same.

Also there is a far greater room for skill when one is using a melee weapon, which means a vampire that has been using said weapon for centuries, maybe even millenia, becomes a lot more powerful than one that uses a weapon as simple as a gun.

Well Rhoran and Robyn are probably going to end up yelling at each other shortly, and Hearthstepper has his meeting with Raphael coming up.

As long as I know that Ras isn't here I can probably use Raphael and his vampires to keep everyone doing stuff until he gets back (well except for Zil, he's kind of on his own)

That picture is fairly awesome. maybe that's why? :p

Rikul was once a human knight who aspired to join the Order of the Sacred Rose, not knowing about their secret of being exclusivly Dhampyr. He followed them in their crusades, but early on a crusade in the nation of Currouse he discovered the Orders secret, and just as he was about to be killed for knowing it Rhoran saved his life. However Rhoran was unable to prevent Rikul from suffering a mortal injury, and rather than see someone he respected die turning him into his child. At first Rikul hated being a vampire, but his sense of honor and duty made him remain with Rhoran until he had repaid his debt for giving him a chance to break the Order of the Sacred Rose. When Rhoran and Raphael moved on Rhoran declared his duty fulfilled, but by now Rikul was quite happy being a vampire and requested to accompany the pair, along with his squire of the time Rhea. Ever since than he has been one of Raphael and Rhorans best and most trusted Knights. When Raphael first left Dark Haven he left Rikul behind to achieve a useful position for later use while he and Rhoran continued their wanderings. Ever since then Rikul has trained and worked to prepare for when Raphael or Rhoran calls him up to serve again. Rikul fights in a very exotic style, he has two blades with a slight curve that he holds with the weapons pointing backwards. He has very few attacks, instead he relies on dodging or parrying an attack and than countering, generally in such a way to make his opponent use their own momentum to come into contact with his blades.

Rhea was Rikul's squire when he was a human knight, and when he became a vampire she continued to follow him, begging for him to also turn her. However up until he finally accepted his new life as a vampire Rikul relented and turned Rhea into his child. She is fiercely loyal to Rikul, and by extension Raphael and Rhoran, and the two are rarely separate. Rumors have always spread that the two are romantically involved, but the two neither confirm or deny the rumors. Whereas Rikul generally ignores Jessica Rhea gets along well with her, when she is not occupied assisting Rikul at least. Rhea uses a similar style to Rikul, but only carries a single blade rather than the two he uses.

"He ignored Hearthsteppers antics".

"Antics"... crushing :P

Reminds me of one of the American Dad episodes where the alien's adamant that he's not a clown, then falls over and takes out the table.

My RL is getting rather hectic ATM and as a result the only real chance I get to make RP posts on the NS forums (which I find usually take a solid block of time) will be weekends (maybe a couple of times during week)

Apologies if it seems like this thread is stagnating as a result but I will get around to posting, just when I get the free time to do so.

No worries.

Getting towards the busy part of term with me.

It's already like the longest thread in NS, which is cool.
