Tagmatium wrote:Just as a bit of clarification, what are the current factions at play within Dark Haven? This is the list I've compiled. I'm probably missing a few.

There's the Count and the Drago-Silvana clan, vampire (I think) and top-dogs of the city.

The ever-mysterious Mr Kensington, employer of Gregorius and von Sturm (deceased)

The werewolf packs (beheaded and in chaos after the death of Lucas)

Raphael and his vampires, erstwhile allies of the Count, yet to really show their true colours. Nearly as mysterious as Mr Kensington, at least in motivation.

The Graves Family, a rather motley bunch and currently the rising star.

The other human gangs, somewhat in disarray.

Am I right so far?

Lets see here…… The current known factions started by your’s truly…

Leading Vamp clans….

1. Drago-Silvana: Most powerful and dangerous vamp clan in city…
2. Silvo: The Vamp’s equivalent of the Sopranos. Italian vamps seeking power through the use of mafia style tactics and brutality..
3. La Vallière: French noble vamps seeking to make Dark Haven a sort of feudal system of government with them on top and humans as serfs and cattle..
4. Emmons: Irish Vamps the last remnants of the old Irish mob of Dark Haven. They were all hunted down and turned by their dark leader Seamus..

Organizations other than crime syndicates:

The Vatican: The Pope’s influence in the city provides the majority of silver nitrate and UV rounds to the people of Dark Haven. They sell and give to both government and gangsters trying to cleasnse the dark streets from the satanic and unholy creatures of the night. They also have a cadre of assassins the main ones in Dark Haven is the Demilo family. The same family that Lono “The Grim Reaper” came from…

The Police: The police are corrupt versions of modern days cops. They have their own precincts, and taskforces. These task forces tend to be crime rings detected for protection of locals that are both legitimate and illegal in the eyes of the law and the public..

The Government: The ruling government of Dark Haven, It is currently headed by the Governor and it’s strongly tied to the Vatican. They have their own agencies that perform both internal investigations and external collections on foreign elements and sometimes even assassinations within their own country and outside of it. Jane Doe came from one of the organizations within the Government…

Crime Syndicates:

Graves Family: The motley group that are on the fast track in Dark Haven thanks to the near unstoppable status of their founder and leader Joey…

La Cosa Nostra: The Italian mafia currently their families are suffering at this time and they are not willing to fight anyone just yet. The massacre of the Saldoni family thanks to Rhoran has made the Garazone Family the new ruling Mafia elite…

Russian Mafia: The eastern Europeans are currently having a civil war after the loss of the biggest boss in their section of the city. Jane Doe whacked Ivan making the Russians go into a state of anarchy..

And so forth… IE Triads, Yakuza , small time gangs, Columbian Cartels and MC organizations..

Werewolves are currently at the bottom with the death of Lucas. They are slowly rebuilding their numbers by gaining more wolves from the country side. If they get a few months or years their packs will be at full strength. They would just need a new leader of some kind…

Songri deserves to be taken as seriously as a heart attack suffered while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory. Which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zepplin crashes into that bacon factory, all of us will be without bacon.

And that simply will not do.

98% of all internet users would cry if facebook broke down. If you are the 2% who would sit back and laugh, copy and paste this into your sig.

Following new legislation in Songri, the nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle.

I just realized something. Whats to stop Lamil's Servants from bringing the building down around Joey and the others?

I would of thought that Lamil was more interested in using his masses to wipe Joey out to make sure that Joey is dead. If he tries to level the area. Joey could escape once they figure out that he is trying to level the building. They could possibly escape and I don't think someone as calculating as Lamil would want to make that mistake...

I think my character is going to get out of here either through more luck than judgement, or because some of the arriving vampires (the, uh, "good" ones) are going to save his arse.

Hell, the same is true of every one of the four in that building.

Yeah.

Sorry for bugging people, but it's the first RP I've done... for damn near a year, when I think about. And that one didn't reach a conclusion.

May I say your doing a good job?

This is probably the first role play where my performance has actually been reasonable. Though I get lazy with my writing a lot. :P

I do have to say that this role play has also been the most productive role play Ive been a part of and I honestly love how much my character has developed.

I'd like to say that you guys are awesome and Im having a lot fun with you.

Sorry Ras. I tried waiting for you but I would really like this RP to not stall and stutter and die. Has been far to much fun making it.

Post is up.

(fun fact, I think We Own The Night is the 5th largest thread in the RP forums.)

So Im going to give you guys an update as far as the portrait is going.

So my original framing and form of Rhoran was absolutely horrible so I redid it and now it looks better. I also started on Heathstepper... His clothing is a bit of a mishap but Ill fix it, its only a rough sketch any how. Robyn's done, aside from the detail on her clothing which I will probably find references for. Im still working on Joey and its actually not going too well, rather annoying because I cant get his basic structure right. I have yet to draw Gregorius... thats going to be fun, especially with his state of dress and all. (Ew, folds of fabric. Something I have trouble with.)

Over all its coming together nicely. And I have no idea when it will be done.

I hope so. Everyone seems to have gotten distracted by Wasteland however.

I am waiting for the two Dhampyr and Joey to react to suddenly having a bunch of elite vampire knights on their side.

Thus why I don't use a snooze function and have my alarm clock on the other side of the room, so I have to get out of bed to deal with it.

Im gonna head off to school here in like two minutes, so I'll try to post at lunch. But until then you guys have a good day.
