High chancellor of Hippostania, Blue October announced today that she will resign from her duties. She announced her resignation in a speech broadcast live on HBC 1. In her speech, she thanked the people of Hippostania for choosing her as their high chancellor, but stated that she was ''inadequate to work as the high chancellor and unable to maintain and promote the will of the Hippostanian people''. She also stated that she wishes to participate in politics in the future too, although from a less demanding position.

After the speech, the Parliament of Hippostania announced that it had appointed current parliamentary chancellor, Lyra as the new high chancellor. In a short speech Lyra made in the Parliament, she said that she will gladly accept the duties and responsibility of the High Chancellor and will, and as of now, step down from her position as the parliamentary chancellor. Lyra has appointed Bon Bon, vice chairpony of the Pony Party as the new Parliamentary Chancellor. She also stated that she wishes to use her new powers wisely and to the benefit of the people and state of Hippostania.

It is our belief the people too will be dissappointed by the fact the election result has suddenly been turned upside-down. As for our people that are being Excommunicated by their spiritual leader- you -I worry for them. They might stage a Schism or leave the denomination, because, frankly, they hold a different tehological interpretation of non-humans. That will be shared further on this letter.


Allow me to present a rebuttal to your attacks and claims.

It is written that a government is set in place by God Himself and is ordained to rule. As an example, see Romans Thirteen. Questioning or attempting to remove the legitimate government by a coup d'etat is a sin and a violation of God's Will in the sense that the government He wanted is removed.
(Of course, while it is possible for a government to lose the Father's granted Mandate of Heaven, we feel that Hippostania's previous government had His favor.)

If you remember your history, you will remember the massive invasion of ponies AND the enfranchisement of said invaders in a referendum that was supposed to decide the fate of the occupying horses. They obviously voted themselves in to cement an illegitimate coup. When the elections for Parliament came around, the enfranchised horses overwhelmed the legitimate populace and ensured a victory for their tyrannical Pony Party by pure numbers, without the need of fraud!

Following some time, most of humanity was successfuly beaten into submission and disenfranchised by the rampantly consolidating ponies. Humans can no longer vote as freely as ponies and are not, despite what you think, free to do as much as ponies can do. That alone is a violation of God declaring the supremacy of man.

This may not seem important, to us-after all, we do not import anything to Hippostania, we are not at war with them, and we are not bribing them. Yet here is the thing. Our primary benefactor, TurtleShroom dislikes them. Now, this is a major cause for us to be concerned. I believe Turtleshroom has shown itself to be a rational and beneficial country-after all, they provided us the land to settle, build, and mine. If they are concerned, something's wrong. And here's the main problem.

Hippostania is a ponyist country. Now, we all know and agree that according to the Sentience Bill of 2011, passed a month ago, that ponies under no circumstances are sentient. They are merely clever, like chimps. And these ponies are docile under a weak herd leader, but my spies lead me...I mean, my sources lead me to believe that "Lyra" is not a weak herd leader. Therefore, we shall oppose the new reigning government in Hippostania. In fact, we are undergoing diplomacy with Turtleshroom right now on what to do about this. Also, Turtleshroom is probably willing to aid us with more funds if we side with them on this issue, so the path forward is clear. We do not support the new regime!"
