Aria Tannhauser
Classroom F1-B, IAPA

It was a good thing she looked over the dossiers of several students here before classes began. Aria knew she has a slight defense advantage over Ingeborg. Determined to keep the shield intact, she sent pulses of energy to distract the Kangaroo for a bit as she regenerate the shield. It felt like her skin, as if it was regrowing and sealing the wounds. She pulsed for the last time to reinforce the shield, and began to build up her power again, with an intent on countering the large psionic pulse her defense partner would inflict on her.

She calmed down her breaths, she could feel the psionic energy seeping from her fingertips to the shield. "Warning! Implant detects psionic energy reaching critical levels!" the HUD alerted "Recommend immediate release of energy."
"Just a bit more." she muttered, concentrating her powers on the centre bulge of the shield since it was the strongest part. "Just a little... bit." she controlled her breaths, readying herself for the final blow the Kangaroo will inflict.

It wasn't like the Wraith to just break through everything. The Queen touched at Sufan's mind gently, and then harder when she couldn't feel his thoughts. She tried testing the nature of the barrier first, delicately learning from it, and was surprised when she felt it had a certain- swirling-- flavor for want of a better term.

She then tried piercing it by distraction. The teacher had said concentration was the key, but the Queen felt that was part of it. In her experience she felt a good deal of mental strength was through will. Thinking her plan best, she worked on projecting "flavors" of her own, to transform the "swirling" into a web, a cocoon, a twisting mass of probing tentacles, a swarm of ravenous insects, anything unpleasant that Sufan would rather abandon than maintain.

Only then she focused on tearing it away.

"All or nothing then," she thought to herself. She realised the resistance Aria was putting up. The fissures seemed to constantly either become larger or repair themselves, like a tug-of-war between two minds. She had to stay concentrated despite the counters of Aria trying to take that very thing away from her. She closed her eyes tight, hoping that the lack of seeing anything potentially distracting would help her stay focused on the thing that mattered more, and that was directing her psionic energies. Of course, there were the other senses, including the psionic waves Aria said to further rip her away from concentration, attempting to make her lose her momentum. Well, hell if that was going to happen. She let fly one final attempt to break through the shield and get into Aria's mind.

Aria was overwhelmed by the incoming wave. The force was strong to knock the wind out of her. She felt the shield collapse, and psionic energy pass through her. Her mind was overwhelmed, this is. Something completely different in comparison to the tests in the Ascension Project. It was something different, a very visceral sensation. "Warning! Warning!" The HUD's alarm blared on her mind "Preparing counter measures for incoming Blood Lust."

Blood Lust was a nasty side effect of mental psionic infiltration on her people. Patients exhibit signs of aggressive behaviour and acts of vampirism. "Yooouu..." Aria growled, she was about to lunge forward towards Ingeborg when she experienced an painful sensation on where her implant is. It was the implant, attempting to calm her behaviour. She screamed, releasing psionic energy from her fingertips causing a table to levitate for a moment. When the table fell on a floor with a thump, a visibly weakened Aria fell on her knees and leaned against the table, passed out.

"Holy crap, I think I did it!" Ingeborg thought. Aria's shield seemed evaporated, and her emotions were plainly in view to her again. A red aura was emanating from her now, fierce red. Something was very wrong. "Aria, snap out of it, mate!" she cringed in fear at the fierce growls Aria showed. She didn't mean to hurt her in some way, but she apparently pissed off Aria, and she was now being overwhelmed by pure, boiling hot rage. She tried her best to back away from her, she was like a ball of firey rage, the temperature of which was hitting Ingeborg directly in the face and influencing her own emotive patterns immensely. "Fucking stop it, Aria!" she shouted frustratedly. Aria pointed a finger, filled with intense psionic energy, at a nearby table, and it began to levitate for a period of time. As sudden as Aria's rage started, it ended, and she fell to her knees and tried to support herself to the table that now had descended to the ground with a loud thud, she seemed exhausted and on the brink of unconsciousness from it. "Oh god, Aria, I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear," Ingeborg said worriedly, looking powerlessly at the teacher to come and help.

Aria gritted her teeth as the implant rudely brought her back to consciousness. She held her jaw in pain as she tried to open her eyes. Her pupils are still dilated, causing the bright light to hurt her eyes. "Any-anyone hurt?" She rubbed the back of her neck in pain. She still can't see, as her eyes are still dilated. Opening her eyes, she could see the room on a shade of red. Then, tears started pouring out. She wiped it off and discovers they are blood-stained "Oh, no." She muttered "I never knew this would happen to me." She shook her head disapprovingly, "It's the Blood Lust."

She looked towards the kangaroo, "Ingeborg, I must apologize I lost my control." She began to sob, feeling guilty because of her actions. Reddened tears drop, staining her vest and white collarneck.

Throughout the class, Gradian had been tracking the performances of the various students as they took turns, alternating between attacker and defender roles. Naturally, some were better suited to defend their minds from attacks, while others were more talented with shattering psionic shields and attempting to break into others' minds. This was normal. And since everything was going smoothly thus far, Gradian smiled. Despite the few mishaps that the class had gone through, everything seemed to be fine now.

However, his smile did not last as he detected that something was wrong with Aria. He quickly strode over to where she sat, and knelt next to her. "Are you alright? Do you need medical attention?" He asked.

While in Norah's room, after several hours of work, the songstress finished with disassembling her daughter to the most basic parts. In law, it was required every year for every Clank under the age of maturity, however, due to efficiency reasons, it is only done on a few, select Clanks. While the tricorder and the Clank's sigil shows most of the things, an active clank can mask her errors caused by wear of the particles. And indeed, the Clank's skeletal structure showed years' old fractures from previous experiments, the inner metal shielding and most of the shield generators of her warp core burnt out, as well as several central data wires.

However, the songstress found that of special interest that all of the data wires to and from the main reactor was burned out, and the reactor appeared to have a control processor on its own, while it's supposed to be run by the central processor of the Clank. Using the parts she found at the container of her daughter, as well as several good parts of the girl, she repaired her bad hand, and made a Wand, and also a small Replicator, with which she could produce brand new parts. Soon, the room looked like someone was playing with Lego. And a lot of it.

Aria began to cry further, apologizing profusely to Ingeborg. "I'm so sorry..." she repeated.

It was the first time she had this, first time she realized that the curse of the Blood Lust on her people was real. It was not some rumour milling around the Ascension Centre, it was real, and she felt it. Physically, she is fine, except for the tearing up blood part, but mentally, she is broken. A mixture of emotions can be felt from her, confusion, sadness, guilt are the emotions that can be felt easily by any psionic. Deep down, there's something.

"I'm... I'm fine sir." she said weakly, rubbing the back of her neck as the pain subsided. Her cheeks are stained with blood, including her vest and turtleneck. "I... I just need some, something." she began feeling the urge coming back again. "Aaahh..." she whined "No, please, don't. Don't touch my mind, don't touch..." she held the top of her head. "Make it stop," she said repeatedly.

"Action, Intervention D13 Active!" the implant intervened. She screamed in pain again as the implant reacted to prevent another attack, hitting her head against the thrown desk she was leaning on.

The pain attack was enough to stun her unconscious.

As he approached, Gradian soon realized that Aria was much worse than she appeared to be on the outside. Her mind was a cluster of negative emotions: Confusion, despair, guilt, sadness, all of this was swirling around in Aria's head. By the time he arrived, she seemed to calm down for a moment, for which he silently gave thanks to Septherion. However, suddenly, she seemed to enter her strange vampiric state once again, but before she could do any damage to any of the present students, her implant knocked her out.

Just then, the sound of a bell ringing went through everyone's minds, signifying that classes were over for the day. "Alright, students, that's it for today. Class dismissed." He said as he hurriedly took Aria and lifted her off, after which he opened the door with a kinetic impulse and stormed out of the classroom, heading straight towards the medical ward. Being the only one that had the vaguest idea of what was going on, he would probably have to stay with the girl until she woke up and got better, which made him glad that classes were over for the day. He would have the required time without having to call for a substitute like Devian had.

"She would probably be astonished at the sheer ammount of accidents that her class went through today." Gradian thought to himself.

Meanwhile, at the classroom, a Zarkenian student with whiskers and slitted eyes stood up and let out a sigh. "By Septherion, this class has sure been troublesome. These international students have many problems I had never even heard about." He thought to himself, before turning to Memnet-Re.

"Your will is strong, Memnet-Re. I hope we can practice again someday." He said, and crossed his arms for a moment, before heading towards the classroom's door and leaving.

Ingeborg was clearly shocked from the ordeal. She had no idea how it was possible to cause such a spark of violent reaction during practice, and she feared the fault lied with herself. The blood that rolled down Aria's cheeks were extremely unsettling, ghastly, and the moment the teacher got any closer to her, she seemed to be operating on a pure fight or flight response, telling him to back off, afraid he'd hurt her.

She knocked herself unconscious, and the teacher, Gradian, had to respond as quick as he could. The bell rang, and Ingeborg saw him quickly dismissing the class and rushing Aria away from the class, towards the medical ward. She stayed silent, watching Gradian leave the classroom with her mouth wide open in shock. The kangaroo's embarrassment and guilt left her very uncomfortable, like all the eyes in the classroom were looking her down.

She cursed inwardly, stood up, and hopped out of the classroom to catch up with Gradian. She wanted to at least be assured that Aria would be okay after the insane emotional outbreak, which she only could refer to as the blood lust, a chill-enducing name for an equally chill-enducing condition. "Professor Gradian!" she called out, once she was catching up with the Zarkenian to a close enough distance to be in his hearing range, "I swear, I didn't mean to do anything to cause her to react like that. Please, tell me she'll be okay," she asked him worriedly.

Xevaris, Central District
Ascension Institute Director

The Director was enjoying stunning night lights of the city. Sitting on his hotel room on one of the highrises in Xevaris, the one he paid on his own, he fixed himself some scotch he ordered from the room services below.

Sipping the fine liquor, he turned to his attention to his laptop. A message was received from President Tannhauser, Aria's mother.
Hello, Ezekiel.

Just wondering how my daughter is doing. Was she picked up yet? I hope she's safe.

-Evangeline Tannhauser, President

He pressed the Compose Mail button and began to type back his response. As he was about to press the button, a knock on the door surprises him. The director approached the door to reveal a young scientist who he had brought along when Aria is being transported to the academy. She was carrying a suitcase, and barged inside without saying what is going on. The Director was not surprised. When urgent situations arise, they must be silent and tell everything in closed doors, away from prying ears.

"Aria's implant just enacted Protocol BLU."
"What?" the Director gasped. He went to his bag and grabbed a communicator. He pressed the speed contact on the touch screen and waited as the communicator on Aria's vest began to vibrate and chirp.

As Gradian approached the medical ward of the Academy, he heard a familiar voice calling out to him and looked over his shoulder, not pausing his advance however as he needed to get Aria to the medical ward as soon as possible. Hearing out Ingeborg's words, Gradian nodded at her and then looked ahead once again. When he was certain that the half-kangaroo was closer to him, he spoke to her.

"Don't worry, Ingeborg. I know this is not your fault, you are certainly not the kind of person to cause such a thing, of that much I am certain." He said to the girl, sending a soothing sensation into her mind in order to try to calm her down. "As for whether or not she will be okay, for now at least she should be fine. As far as I can tell, she was only knocked unconscious, and I hope I can contain her negative emotions once she comes to her senses once more. However, I cannot assure that the "bloodlust", as she called it, will not come back in the future." He stated.

Just as he reached the medical ward and placed Aria on one of the metallic cots, a strange device on her seemed to come to life. Unsure of what it was, Gradian took it into his hands, accidentally activating it.

The Director waited impatiently as the communicator's channel opened. A few seconds passed and still hearing nothing, he spoke through:
"Hello!? Hello?! Aria, are you alright?" he waited for a moment "The implant sent a Protocol BLU on us, are you alright?"

Still nothing, realizing someone else answered the phone, he continued "I suppose she's unconscious, tell me, is she alright? Please, if you can, please check the maxillary canine teeth of hers. If you see sharp pointy teeth then we know how far her condition has progressed."

The Director hoped that the canines are not sharp. If it was, it might potentially harm others. But unfortunately, Aria's canines were indeed sharp and pointy.

After hearing a man's voice coming from the device, Gradian quickly deduced that the device in question must have been a communicator, not unlike the ones used in Zarkenis Ultima, though indeed also much different as it did not function through amplified psionics. Either way, when questions were asked to the person that had answered the communicator, Gradian promptly answered the evidently distressed man.

"Yes mister, Aria is unconscious, but she should be fine." He replied, and then, as per the man's wishes, he checked the girl's teeth, in order to see whether or not her canines were sharp and pointy. Upon confirming that this was the case, he spoke to the communicator once again. "Her canines are indeed sharpened. What does that mean?"

Flopping down the recliner in horror, the Director shook his head. "Oh no..." he muttered close to the communicator "It is a matter of time before she turns into.... something worse." he looked at the scientist and shook his head. "Tell me, did Aria do anything? Psionic mental infiltration perhaps?"

"Our people have a weakness to psionic infiltration. We were hoping Aria would be the key to solving our problems, but it claims another." he stood from his seat and walked towards the window "Say, can we have a fix on the position of the school? I would like to see her."

Gradian listened patiently to the communicator, keeping his own thoughts in check and making sure that Ingeborg was calm as well, not allowing her to overhear his conversation with the Director of the Ascencion Project.

"Yes, our last class consisted precisely on training on how to defend against psionic infiltration. Needless to say she slipped into her 'bloodlust' state during practice." He stated. When the director commented that their people had a weakness to said kind of infiltration, he felt guilt for a moment, but quickly got his emotions under control again, knowing that, since the Academy had not been notified, there was nothing they could have done to prevent the incident.

"Very well." Gradian said in response to their last request and gave them instructions on how to reach the Academy. Afterwards, he used his own communication device to tell the guards at the entrance about the visit.

Some of the sensations that the Queen had projected had broken through Sufan's shield, and though some of them he was quite comfortable with, others he found slightly grotesque. Of course, in thinking of the illusory sensations fed to him by the Wraith he let his concentration slip, the swirling slowing and the thorny vines losing some of their life, shrivelling up, crumbling. Holes widened, and when he realised it it was too late.
The Queen broke through, and his eyes flew wide as Patno tried in vain to push back the advancing mind of the inhuman woman, channelling Magickal energy through the connexion that the two, human and Spirit, shared.
As a result of the mild shock neither really noticed nor cared for Aria's situation, and when the telepathic bell went off they left the classroom without a word.

When she had put the Clank together, she had found a small, black box, seamlessly locked, and with data wires supposed to go to the spine. The interesting thing was, this box seemed to be intact. The box had a seal on it, that seemed like a debugging online disable seal (keep it inside the system, and powered, but deny access to it). She couldn't recall what the box was. This memory, and all the references of it was deleted by her when she was captured by the Goa'uld, and as she didn't have references, she couldn't re-download it when she joined the Collective for a brief time after her escape from her captors. As the disable circuit burned out, she removed the disable sign, and started the Clank without it.

She connected her tail to her daughters after she checked her systems, and input power.

"Sigil mismatch?"
the Songstress wondered, not disconnecting her tail from her daughter. Her hair flashed green for a moment, then blanked out. Acting robotic, she started once again to disassemble her daughter, but this time, she used an entirely different, and vastly more complex sigil for the replicators, which she also disassembled and rebuilt using an entirely different technology. If anyone attempted to take notes of her work, they would fail, as any and all technology she had done, was unknown to this world, and doomed to collapse in four dimensions.

She worked through all night, and the Clank was assembled again, this time, from the outside, she looked exactly like her mother, complete with her wings. The operating robot has once again connected tails with her daughter.

The hair of both of the Clanks became shining white as the terrified Songstress disconnected her tail from her daughter.
"What have I done?" - she looked around the room, which looked like a well-equipped laboratory by now, however, nothing seemed being stable there, as her daughter was floating in mid-air and glowing internally.
"EMERGENCY STOP! KILL ALL POWER AT ONCE!" She shouted with no avail, as no systems responded. She observed the boot process, and hoped she didn't create a weapon. Again.

Norah's eyes popped open, and she sat up, opening her wings in the process, as another winged creature emerged from her back. The songstress' own angel watched this curiously. The two angels attempted to talk, but seemingly couldn't understand each other, so they were using body language. Norah looked around.
"Where I am? What's the time and date? And to whom does your angel talks?"
The Songstress' angel clasped her hands, as she said: "Look behind your back."
Looking back, she found the magnificent creature. Her wings were pulled in tightly, as she closed her eyes and looked on the floor. A swirl of clothes, she had in stead of legs were pulled beneath her. Her flowing brown hair reached down to her waist, as her clothing only covered what's the most important to cover on the female being. The being's size was comparable to hers.
"M-m-m-m-m-mother... a... a.... an angel!" She said in surprise, as the angel 'knelt' next to her.
"Species 15292. Probably some variety thereof. She's living in your soul, and that makes her your angel."
However, the Clank was in tears, crying on the shoulders of her angel tears of joy that she was able to meet her companion, and that she was running flawlessly once again.

Waiting for the episode to end, her mother looked around what did she done, and examined her daughter's sigil.
"Thank you for your kind assistance that you came here from wherever you where. The Collective thought you were dead! I'm so happy to see you again, on-line and fully functional."
"As am I. Whatever I made of you."
"Pardon me? My sigil shows no modification from the last time. I have just been repaired."
"Thanks to your angel. She had sung up a new sigil for you. I should have known that, however I have formatted myself since then."

Norah looked at her angel, who blinked back on her mistress, not understanding anything.

"A few years ago, we have discovered isolinear interdimensional travel. A means to travel to different dimensions of our universe, without having to travel between universes. One of the new species we have discovered is Species 15291, 'Goddesses'. First, they were hostile, believing us to be 'Demons', Species 15293, but we could convince them we weren't, and showed our interdimensional technology. Seeing us as sufficiently advanced species, we have established contact. It was a long diplomatic process, elongated by their laws and bureaucratic processes forced on them by the treaty with the demon world, Nifelheim. We have seen their angels, who were like ours, Species -1, in form and function. We thought their and our angels were compatible with each other, but unfortunately, the experiment on their side was unsuccessful. We asked for two angel's eggs. That commodity grew on trees, and was inexpensive for goddesses. However, it was subject to strict export restrictions.

After rolling up the red tape, we managed to get two of them. For 2,048 First Grade Songstresses, 17 trillion brains worth of processor capacity, 4,096 quadrillion zetabytes of storage, a Parta-class Interdimensional Transporter, and two 10th dimension capable Silverodeon class Dreadnought, sans the Silverodeon Engines. It took us several years to analyze the technology. It turned out quickly that angel's eggs cannot be replicated, as they are souls of an intelligent life-form. So we started to reverse-engineer the Angel's Egg Tree to propagate the species in out world. It took years of industrial espionage, and billions of tons of replicator capacity, as well as hundreds of songstresses working on the project, when they were in short supply. The two original eggs were routed to the CIRDAN project, which used magic to aid their job. The project have released a stable prototype, and that's all I know.

Meanwhile HAVE FEATHERS II aimed to create a purely technological interface with the Egg, and in charge of the reverse-engineered Tree. When you were brought in there for the setup of your interface, that's when my memories were cleared to the time you were released. What I remember is that when you were brought in, you didn't have the egg in you, and when you went out, it was attached near your reactor with a debugging seal. The routing deny module was placed in the switching power supply circuitry of your psionic interface, as that wasn't to be updated. However, you managed to disable it when you over-exerted yourself. Young angels of Species -1 aren't the best Songstresses, so if you had a digital angel, you would have been dead, as well as anything in a 2-mile radius. However, she seemed to have a genetic memory on the intricate workings of The Ultimate Songstress. And if I understand your sigil correctly, you are a self-contained unlicensed Goddess as in specimen of Species 15291. Well, built by and run on Clank technology."

"And what does it all mean?"
"If my estimates are correct, you have the power to raise the dead, make life eternal, create food, or produce as much money as one could never spend, while not putting a dent in economies that still depend on money. All without a wand."
"So I can get to provide the wishes of troubled sentient organics? How romantic..."
"I'm not done yet. Your reactor capacity is enough that you, with a single thought can cleave mountains, boil the oceans, burn cities, and create winds that cannot be survived. Also you can split planets in half. If your reactor went out of control, it would cause total destruction in approximately a light year radius, observable as a supernova from around the galaxy."
"Now I am become Death. Destroyer of worlds. Which I don't want to. Are any way to limit my functionality?"
"None known. However, your angel was just born, and she doesn't have any knowledge of your power. Furthermore, it seems it has a precision controlled targeting engine, and a strict command-based hierarchy, as well as a nigh-incomprehensible API to work with."

Norah had looked on the angel, and she smiled back, as she mentally asked her that what programs does she know.
"And that's the limit to the functionality you asked. Until you learn how to control your power, you are powerless. You can't even fly, however you have wings. But things you have found difficult previously..."
Her mother started to sing to her, in a completely different language she had sang while programming and assembling her. She had noticed in her hand a feather was rising without any effort made on her part. Norah quickly looked into her mind, that showed extremely intricate, but easily replicable pathways powered, as it was her power that made the feather levitate.
"I have also studied the API, as I was one of the Songstresses selected to go, however, the Crown commanded to me that I should forget what I've been taught, and return to my job, as I was necessary in the Collective. What I've sang is the 'void Object.SetZ(Object* target, Complex Z+);' method, commonly referred to as levitation. I think you have had success with that one before. I think you could also adapt the void Sentient.MsgOut(msg* msg); and msg* Sentient.MsgIn(void); methods with your angel. Those were in the HAVE STANCE API. "

"With my angel?" - Norah stared at her mother, not knowing what she meant.
"Angels are exceptionally good songstresses. And a mirror to your soul. They reflect your innermost feelings, and keep you company when no-one else can. Also, your Angel can help you realize the full extent of your power. Also be vary that Species 15292 Angels require a soul to work, so that means you have one. You are now susceptible to more attacks than before, and you cannot just simply turn off your psionic module. Also, if your Angel is forcibly torn out, your primary loop gets locked, as it always waits for the angel's response. Thus you will be incapacitated. And if your Angel gets killed, you will also die horribly and irrecoverably with her, as you are one soul in two bodies." - She answered. Both of the Angels had fear in their eyes. The younger one pulled closer to her mistress expressing her need for protection. In response, Norah asked the experienced programmer.
"Are there any more you can teach?"
"Well, object replication would be hard for today, but from the FEATHERS namespace, you could try Angel:Angel(void); and Angel:~Angel(void); the class constructor and destructor, which you could call and hide her. However, as she will continue to run inside you, you, and those violating your privacy, and those whom you have let in willingly can speak to her and you. However, protect her, as she will represent your innermost feelings, thus anyone can know and abuse them later. And looking around the room, I think you should try dSigil* Area.Reset(void);"
"How could I execute any of these?" - when she asked, her mother sighed, as she really couldn't do anything she didn't learn.
"It's good you asked, that means the API header is not available to you. I will connect my tail, and show you, if you would like."

Soon, the angel disappeared behind her, then reappeared. After it, the songstress disconnected her tail, while her daughter began singing. Objects flew around in the room, which, minutes later, become perfectly clean and organized.

Aria Tannhauser
Medical Wing, IAPA

As if waking up from a bad dream, Aria sat up from the bed gasping and shivering. Putting her arms around her, she felt a slight pain on where the implant should be. Looking for her diagnostics device, she realized it was left behind at the classroom. In her pockets was just her USB cord and the music player. "Ow." she bit her tongue. She felt the blood drip down to her throat, she immediately felt oddly aroused by the taste.

But then the moment of bliss was interrupted when the sharp blast of induced pain brought her back to reality. "Oh no." she looked for something, a reflective material. When she found one, she opened her mouth and saw the sharpened canine teeth.

Falling back to the bed, she sighed. "Oh nooo.... I will never be the same again."

"Oi, Grade, she woke up!" Ingeborg quickly said, as she noticed Aria opened her eyes and jerked herself awake. She was relieved that Aria was well enough, and was able to regain her consciousness again. However, her smile of relief turned to a frown when Aria seemed to worriedly look around for something, she found a mirror and examined herself. Suddenly her mood shifted to something a lot darker, and worried. She would never be the same again? What had happened to her? And how the hell did her psionic attacks somehow have this effect on a person. This never happened to anyone whose mood she attempted to read. Arguably, none of them were psionics who required her to force herself past any defensive shells they had around their minds, but still.

"I'm so bloody sorry, Aria. I can't possibly tell you how sorry I am for this whole thing," the kangaroo sobbed. If she had expected this, then what could she have done to prevent it from happening? Possibly weaken her attacks. Maybe she overdid her final strike and made Aria's mind go complete haywire.

Aria Tannhauser
Medical Wing, IAPA

Aria looked onto the marsupial as she apologized. Patting her shoulder, she replied. "I'm sorry too. I wish you could do something for me. What's done is done, right?" she tried to lighten up the situation. She knew it is no use, if she was in her position she would by crying as well. Looking at her arm, she noticed her skin colour is getting slightly more pale. Sighing, she looked down, accepting her fate as a human-vampire psionic.

"You didn't do anything wrong, you were doing the exercise correctly. It's on my end, I'm sorry I scared you. My people have a weakness when it comes to that exercise because of an... agreement we made several centuries ago. I was careless to ignore the warning from the Director." she cleared her throat and went for a glass of water. Downing the glass, Aria continued. "I have accepted my fate. But don't worry, I'll still be around here despite my condition." she grinned, showing the sharpened canines to her. In embarrassment, she closed her lips, realizing she was showing her teeth.

She looked to her window and saw a VTOL aircraft with the flag of the Meritocratic States emblazoned on the tail section landed on the courtyard outside the building.

IAPA Courtyard

Opening the airtight doors, the director jumped out of the VTOL aircraft and looked around. "Hilda, tell me where the medical wing is."
"H-how do I supposed to know?"

Grumbling, he approached the two guards in the area.
"Do you know where the medical wing of your school is? I need to see a student here. Her name is Aria Tannhauser."

Gradian had been on the Medical Ward with Aria the whole time, sitting nearby and observing her as she slept, wondering what had caused all of this, as the Imperial Academy had not been informed of the girl's condition or her weakness to exercises of the type she was subjected to. Concern was present in his mind, but he kept it in check as he continued to stand by, waiting for her to wake up. As he waited, however, he also tried to ease Ingeborg's own concern. On his request, the staff had allowed the girl to remain there, as he knew she felt guilty.

After a long while, Gradian began to doze off, but Ingeborg's call awakened him, and he looked ahead only to see that Aria had finally regained consciousness.

Once Aria and Ingeborg were done talking, Gradian spoke.

"Do you feel well, Aria? I have to apologize for allowing all of this to happen, but I simply had no knowledge of your people's weakness in regards to psionic infiltration." He said. "But regardless of that I hope you know that we will try to help you overcome or adapt to this... Condition." He added afterwards, unsure of how to address the problem.

One of the two guards clad in bluish armor looked in the Director's direction and nodded. "We were informed of your prompt arrival earlier, Director. Go past this corridor and then head straight forward. After that, go through the second door to your left and you will reach the Medical Ward." He said, before using his psionic power to open the doors for the Director and his companion.

Minutes later, the entire room was cleaned up, showing no sign that it was used as a Clank laboratory recently. Every atom of it had reverted to its place when she walked out from the room yesterday morning to attend her classes. As it was still early in the morning - just after sunrise -, with her mother, they started to adapt the younger clank's clothes to her wings. The tailoring mostly done by the wearer, as her mother told her

"To learn making delta-sigils on simple examples, and to become more resourceful. If you, in the future can't rely on your powers."
Subconsciously, her mother taught about the brief time she spent in goa'uld captivity. If only she had a wand. - she added to it mentally to herself.

Trying on one of her adapted clothes, a long, light blue dress made of a thin, light material with a white, floral pattern - roses - that appeared to be printed on the material, however, they were woven into it, and a matching light blue cardigan worn over it, held together by a bow. Through the thin fabric, the elaborate patterns tracing her hand up to her elbow were visible as they were lit with the same light as her hair. Also the area between her collarbones showed a more elaborate floral pattern now around a star-shaped centerpiece. She worn her trilobite pendant hanging tightly from a dark blue ribbon tied into a bow at the center, tied around her neck.

She asked her Angel to see it from behind, then propose modifications. The angel surprised the mother of the Clank, as her daughter always insisted on replicating frilly clothes for her, now she worn simpler pieces. No embroidery, encrusted gems, nor lacing was added, as existing ones were removed, if they could be excluded.

The student then heard someone sobbing from a distance. She politely excused herself from her mother, asking for permission to leave after promising she would continue on her work. Even politely curtsying before her. While the songstress wondered about whether this was a possible side-effect of gaining her angel, exchanging a stare and several long blinks with her own companion, before her daughter almost floated out of her room.

She stepped lightly, running on her toes, like if there was water under her, and she didn't want to cause ripples. Each step required considerable work from the Clank's processors, as she needed to balance out roughly 1,5 tons of weight including her wings, and the large wing drives inside her, which shifted her center of mass to the center of her reactor core - approximately where a human's heart would be.

After a bit of searching, and mainly following the crying voice, she appeared before the medical ward. She made a deep curtsy, then started to speak at a soft voice:
"Ingeborg, what have happened to you? Could I do anything for you to help?", she waited the kangaroo to respond, before turning to Aria. She barely recognized the girl, but she could clearly identify her implant's signals.

"Aria, I'm sorry whatever had happened to you. That I wasn't there then, and that I can't help you now, however, it's just trivial genetic rearranging. I wish I knew my abilities better." - The Clank said, with her hands clasped, as teardrops appeared in her eyes, shining like diamonds from the background lighting of her shining hair. Her angel, if she were active at the time, would add to her glow, however, she had kept up-to-date via her mistress' eyes, ears, and other data she shared with her.
