Zarkenian Starport

The Astral Commander noticed that Aiwendill declined the offer to sit down, choosing to kneel on the ground instead. He assumed it was because of her wings, and didn't give it much importance. After seeing her kneel down, he listened carefully to her story, understanding that she was here for her daughter, who was attending the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts.

"So, I presume you're here in order to assist in fixing your daughter's malfunctions, is this correct?" He asked. After giving her time to answer, he spoke again. "Well, I'm afraid I will have to speak to my superiors about this matter. Though there is one other thing that worries me, Ms. Aiwendill." He said. "From what Captain Garm told me, your ship was in terrible conditions when it was found by the Wardenship, and you yourself have sustained damage, from what I can see. Were you being pursued?"

Maerin listened to the Goa'uld's thoughts after having spoken to her, and nodded to himself when he heard her repeat that there is always a way. Hope was a good thing to have, regardless of the fact that some might view it as a useless illusion. After all, if people didn't believe there was something better somewhere along the way, what would be the reason to keep walking?

"Well, there aren't solutions, but there are measures to prevent a loss of identity from happening." Maerin explained. "In any case, just take care not to push yourself too hard on your classes, and you should be fine."

Office of Cmdr. Retor

"Yes, I am. And if I'm not requested here, I intend to leave after that, in the shortest possible time. If you are concerned with security, I've became used to working at gunpoint in the last months."

The Clank said to the commander's first question. She intended to repair her daughter, regardless of the permission of the Zarkenians. She was her own Empress, after all, as she was stateless. In effect, she did never have existed. Removed from all the Starkindler reports, all the vast repositories and databases.

"I understand your concerns, but please make haste with the decision. The more we wait, the less we will be able to save from the HAVE STANCE prototype, and the more dangerous she could be." - she replied to the next sentence after continuing.

"Oh. The ship is still in one piece. Planetary launches and landings can be a problem, as well as FTL, but nothing that can't be repaired in a night with a good replicator. It was just a warning. From land-space batteries. As well as my hand. If a Clank is commanded to kill, the target does not survive. And I wasn't pursued. Chasing an unperson is just a waste of antimatter, and a source of diplomatic conflicts."

The large airplane soared through the sky as it made its approach for the landing on Sylvas airport. The boeing 757, carrying the airliner logo of a bounding kangaroo on its tailfin started to make its descent. The large port city was visible from the sky in all of its brilliant colours. The sapient eastern grey sat comfortably in her chair by the window of the airplane. She looked down thoughtfully, as she tried to relax her mind. She could tell how lively the city was, it was bursting from the auras she could sense of all the people, which collectivised into a faint glow she could perceive. It wouldn't have made much of a difference in making the city any more visible to her. It was hard to miss the vivid colouration of the large port city. What she perceived in the collective emotion from a city so large was only overshadowed by the individuals who sat right beside her. The lights to fasten seat belts switched on. Finally, the airplane was going to land and the eastern grey was going to get to experience practicing her talents with others of her kind.

She had grown impatient after constant delays due to bad weather above Gautkozt airport preventing the airport from taking off. That was sadly just part of everyday life there. She fastened her seatbelt with a light click. The petite 'roo took a deep breath, trying to keep her mind relaxed. It didn't help much at all that just 2 rows back there was a first-time flier stressing out badly and was knocking her out of her tranquil state of mind. And damnit, now she was getting overwhelmed with worries. What if the airplane was overshoot the runway and plummet off a cliff towards a nasty crash? She shook her head and tried to unfocus from the guy stressing out behind her. It was only affecting her more if she paid attention to it.

It was nothing less than a real relief when the airplane landed. When the person behind the light grey-furred kangaroo had finally calmed down, she started feeling a lot better. The airplane docked with the gate and the passengers were allowed to exit. She unfastened her seatbelt and joined the row of passengers impatiently pushing to get out. It felt cramped up to her, especially being around people almost twice as large as her, and the fresh air from being outside of that damp airplane and inside the much more spacious airport terminal was a friendly welcome to her. Welcome to Zarkenis Ultima indeed. After going through security and getting her luggage back, she was all ready to go once she could find the escort.

The slick black and green shape of the transport descended smoothly, hovered over the ground, and came to a light rest. Inside, the young Queen, just at the age of adulthood, felt a world on her shoulders. She scooped up a light leather satchel, swung it to her shoulder, and ran a hand over her long, black dress of thick leather to smooth it. With a sharp mental tap at the door of her quarters, a series of ribs flayed open to let her pass.

The hall was only a few feet long and quite claustrophobic. Two masked guards stood shoulder-to-shoulder at the exit ramp, but when they sensed the Queen they moved away. She stared at them thoughtfully. She would not be home again in a long, long while, and a tiny transport such as this one would come only every two weeks. The heavy outer door unlocked and peeled away to form a ramp, trailing mucus sealants along its surface to form a wet, bumpy surface to walk on.

The Queen squinted painfully as her pupils contracted to the faintest slits. It was bright, very bright out there. In a single gust all the cool fog and mist inside was swept away into the vast, dry starport.

With a curt nod, she stepped outside into this broader alien world, a world of light, light everywhere.

Aria Tannhauser
Skies above Sylvas

A government-marked E-22 Sausen approached Sylvas City. Nineteen hours on a government marked plane. For anyone, it is an eternity and it was nighttime when the plane finally arrived. As the exhausted crew of the plane prepare for landing, a curious Aria Tannhauser looks over the window and was mesmerized by the view. The city was enormous, larger than any city in the Meritocratic States.

As she looked over the city, a flight attendant tapped her in the shoulder, telling her to buckle up. Aria did so a few seconds later.

The plane maneuvered to a straight vector to the runway. As the plane's rear wheels touched the runway, Aria looked at the pendant her mother gave her. She will be away from home for a few years, something she hasn't done before. The pilots managed to land the plane, opening the reverse thrusters to full. Soon, the plane decelerated and was nearing the edge of the runway. In time, it slowed down and the plane made its exit from the main runway.

Patting her hand beside her, the project manager told her she can unbuckle. Looking to her window, she noticed the plane carrying a logo of a kangaroo on the rudder of the plane. 'Hm.... interesting.' Aria thought as she stood from her seat and followed the Project Manager outside of the plane.

"The plane's crew and I will be at the city for tonight." the Project Manager said as they both go through security "After that, we'll return to the Meritocratic States."
"I understand." Aria followed, stopping at their designated waiting area. "I just wanted to say, it's going to be lonely in the next few years."
"Don't worry Aria." the Project Manager smiled as he patted her head. "You'll be okay." he paused then continued "I'm always a phone call away." he then departed, waving his hand as he left her on the waiting area, leaving the 20 year old at an airport.

Memnet-Re made a slight nod again to show that she understood and respected Maerin's opinion.

Very well. It was an honor to speak with you, Zarkenian.

The grey kangaroo made a quick scan around the place. Well, there weren't any officials from the academy around yet. He would have figured it'd take a while for one to arrive, after all the delays that had already occured. She could just sit down and wait for the escort to arrive at the airport. There were no other options left for her, anyway. A couple of seats were left unoccupied, while most others were already taken by tourists and returning citizens. A mosaïc of people from hundreds of different countries of origin. The vibrant mixture of everything, from cultures, species to the rainbow of emotions she could sense was nearly enough to make her head spin. "Take a deep breath, calm down," she thought to herself.

She wasn't used to being around so many people, and it made her powers pracically go haywire. She sat down, placing her black bag underneath the seat. Her tail draped over the chair and rested its tip on the ground before her. She tried to meditate herself to get the intense strain on her senses to subdue slightly at least. Either she could get her senses at least half under control, or half of the people in this airport should just disappear into thin air for all she cared. She rhythmically thumped her tail on the ground, keeping herself distracted with something during the wait, and make the constant pressure on her mind somewhat endurable.

Thump, thump, thump, thump.

Hypnotic almost. It were seemingly always the completely pointless, most mindless things in the world that could strangely enough keep a person distracted for hours, and right now, she needed distraction the most.

Thump, thump, thump, thump.

Capital City of Xevaris
Zarkenian Starport

The Astral Commander contiinued listening to Aiwendill as she answered his questions, taking mental notes of everything she said in order to relay the conversation to his superiors with as much detail as was possible for him. The fact that she mentioned she had become used to working at gunpoint in the past few months did nothing to relieve Lagard of his concerns, but he kept listening nonetheless. However, after hearing the last of her answers, said concerns were lessened.

"Very well, Ms. Aiwendill, I will contact my superiors as soon as possible. In the mean time, would the quarters that were given to you in the Wardenship suffice, or would you prefer another place to stay while my superiors make their decision?" He asked, rising to his feet.

Port City of Sylvas
Zarkenian Starport

The personal at the Starport did not feel alarmed by the strange interstellar transport that had arrived moments earlier, having been informed beforehand that such a transport would be arriving soon, carrying an international student that was to attend the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts.

Soon after the young Queen had stepped out of her black and green transport and into the Starport, a member of the staff of the Imperial Academy approached. The man was a tall one, though average by Zarkenian standards. He had yellow eyes with black horizontal pupils, and short, light brown hair, as well as some scars over his face. His body, like that of every other Zarkenian, was striped with normal skin and then shadow skin, with the normal skin being a very light shade of tan. The most defining feature of this man, however, at least to those who were not of Zarkenian descent, were the two goat horns that were protruding from his head. The man in question wore an official looking attire, a white, gold-trimmed robe with the emblem of Zarkenis Ultima where his heart would be, and the initials 'IAPA' below it, the official attire for the staff of the Imperial Academy. Under those initials was the nametag "Gradian Marte", which was the name of the individual.

"Greetings. The Queen, I presume? Please follow me. I will escort you to the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts." The horned man said, and then turned around, motioning for her to follow him, and began walking, soon stepping out of the Starport and into the lively city of Sylvas. Thankfully, the port was not far from there.

Zarkenian Airport

Shortly after both international flights had arrived to the Zarkenian Airport in the city of Sylvas, a guard clad in a bluish armor of a strange kind entered the Airport and began looking around. He had been appointed with the task of finding the two international students that would arrive that day and bringing them to the ship that was meant to take them to the Xevaris Lift.

He soon saw Aria Tannhauser standing alone in the Airport on her designated waiting area. He approached her and greeted her. "Greetings, Aria Tannhauser. I have been tasked with bringing you and another international student to the ship. Please follow me." He stated, and then began looking around once again, this time for the other student. However, as it was a kangaroo, it wasn't too hard to find her, since even despite Zarkenian's varying physiology, it was a rare sight. Thus, the guard approached Ingeborg a well.

"Greetings, Ingeborg Wudar Portar. I have been tasked with bringing you and Aria Tannhauser to the ship. Please follow me." He said, and then turned around, motioning for them to follow, and walked out of the Airport and into the city of Sylvas, heading towards the docks.

Aria Tannhauser
Sylvas Airport, Waiting Area

Thirty minutes has passed since the project manager left Aria on the airport. Patiently waiting for the person that was about to get her, she reached inside her shoulder bag. Pulling out a music player, she placed in the headphones, and selected a playlist and pressed play. Fast techno music abused her ears as she fixed her posture. Music has created an imprint on her life. It has helped her maintain her control of her powers and at the same time, entertain her. She began to think of what is going to happen in the next few years.

Aria was elated and terrified at the same time. Her time on the Ascension Project was very clinical most of the time. Despite the number of psionics currently on the military, she was the only test subject. She was always lonely, and began to miss her friends from high school.

She began to detect a guard approaching her, a side effect of the implants. Aria then took out the headphones from her ears and turned off her music player as the guard began to speak.
"Greetings, Aria Tannhauser. I have been tasked with bringing you and another international student to the ship. Please follow me."

The guard greeted her. She smiled to him and bowed. "Of course, thank you sir." she then gripped her baggage and followed the man.

The guard in bluish armour then approached a kangaroo. Aria blinked, it was the first time seeing a kangaroo, not to mention a sapient one. She began to look at her at awe. "H-hi!" she smiled towards the kangaroo "It's nice to meet a fellow student." she said as they walked towards the exterior of the airport.

The Kangaroo felt two entities approaching her. A sudden waft of surprisal and curiosity seemed to hit her, overriding most other emotions she could detect in the room, and when she looked up, the source of the emotion was clear to her. In fact, it was right in front of her. A Zarkenian escort had approached her, along with another girl of about her age, who gazed at her in amazement. She forced out a chuckle after hearing the Zarkenian escort call her by her full name, stood up, and began to follow the escort who had beckoned for the two students to come.

"Nice to meet you too," Ingeborg said to the fellow student in a friendly tone. Her accent was typically Australian, drawling, and with her syllables assimilating her sentences into nearly just a single word. "My name's Ingeborg. What's your name?"

The Queen blinked, and then observed the man that approached her carefully. The horns caught her attention first, but then the eyes were considered even more unusual. Like her own, the possessed slitted pupils, but unlike hers they were horizontal. She had seen such eyes on only one other creature previously, a horse. She found herself staring at his face throughout his introduction and until he turned to lead her away.

Seeing no reason to speak, she simply followed in the fluid step and absolute silence characteristic of her kind. As she went, she observed the surrounding area and flared her four nostrils repeatably, taking in the alien smells of this world.

After her first two sentences, Cmdr. Retor seemed reluctant to help her, but she thought she could convince him by mentioning she was an unperson and was not followed here. But as they had opened the academy of Psionic Arts, she had ruled out the seclusion, so she simply accepted the decision, and replied.

"I'm not in the position to make requests. So I settle with anything you have to offer. As a machine I doesn't have a need for comfort, so I could remain in any place where the foundations are strong enough, and I can fit in."

Port City of Sylvas

The Queen's escort, Gradian Marte, led the Wraith through the lively and colorful city of Sylvas, heading towards the docks. It was a sunny summer mid day, so he hoped the Queen wouldn't mind the wheather, not knowing much about their native living conditions. It was with these thoughts in mind that he hastened his pace as he walked towards the docks, while constantly making sure that the Queen was still following him. His eyes helped, as with them he could see most things around him, except those directly behind him.

The horned man soon reached the docks, finding a CTV ship there waiting for them. He then turned to face the Queen once again. "Queen, we need to wait here for two other students that are to attend to the Imperial Academy. As soon as they arrive, we will head to Xevaris." He said.

The guard in blue Zarkenian armor continued walking and led the two students out of the Airport and into the port city of Sylvas as they talked, getting to meet each other even before arriving at the Imperial Academy. He simply ignored their talking and continued walking, though he kept making sure that the two were following him, in order to avoid having either of them wander off into the city, because if something such happened it would be rather difficult to find them.

Soon after they exited the Airport, however, the three reached the Sylvas docks, where they found a horned man and the Wraith Queen waiting in front of a CTV. The guard walked up to the horned man.

"Thank you for your service, you can go now." He said to the guard. The guard merely nodded and then walked away. The horned man then addressed the two students.

"Greetings, students. My name is Gradian Marte and I am to escort you to the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts. Now, please follow me." He said, and then boarded the ship, the students' luggage hovering behind him as he did so and then being slowly falling back to the floor of the ship.

The Astral Commander listened to Aiwendill's words, and nodded once she was done. "Very well then. If the two specifications you stated are the only ones needed, then I suggest you stay near Captain Garm's Wardenship for now. You may request the assistance of our technicians to help repair your ship if you so desire. But given the technological differences between our ships and yours, I doubt they will be of much help without proper directions." He said, and then walked over to the door, opening it for Aiwendill to step out.

Once Aiwendill stepped out, Lagard, too, stepped out and walked away, intending to contact his superiors as soon as possible. Outside of the room where they had been in were Garm and the two guards that had accompanied him.

After standing up, she made a deep curtsy.

"Thank you for your assistance. If it's possible, I would like to get the assistance of your technicians, and work on my ship while the decisions are made, such I won't waste my time, and I could be off your planet earlier, should the authorities decide to do so."

Sufan blinked. "Um.... I apologise, but I do not understand. What do all these terms mean?" He was referring to Norah's explanation of her malfunction. Did you understand what she was saying? he asked Patno.
I can only understand what you understand the Spirit replied, just as confused as his human charge was.
Sufan gave a weak smile. "Anyway, you did not harm me. You simply acted normally."

The weather outside was nice and enjoyable to Ingeborg. It was reminiscent of the kind weather she usually had in her own country during summer, perhaps a bit drier. She wondered a bit in her train of thought, untill she took notice they had already arrived at the docks. Once the three had arrived at the docks, Ingeborg noticed there was another Zarkenian, who seemed to be part goat, waiting for her and the other girl. They were standing by a peculiar-looking ship that seemed to draw power from magical crystals.

The goat-like Zarkenian explained to the three students that they were to board the ship, and with his psionic powers, the luggage hovered into the ship. Three? Her eyes flicked to the side. How could she not have noticed the other student untill now? She felt a sudden sensation of unease around the insectoid, her own unease that was, though it was likely combined with the emotions she picked up from her surroundings. The appearance of the other student seemed truly venomous. She was slender as a snake and probably twice as deadly. She flicked her eyes away from her, not wanting to stare at her for too long and inadvertently attract her attention, and followed Gradian's instructions to board the ship. It looked marevellous. She could have never imagined something like this to exist, and would have deemed it impossible if she hadn't seen it with her own eyes.

Aria Tannhauser
Port of Sylvas

The Kangaroo introduced herself as Ingeborg. When she asked for Aria's name, the human psionic quickly replied. "It's Aria." she introduced "Aria Tannhauser." she said as they pass into the docks. Suddenly, a mild pinprick sensation appeared at the base of her neck. The implant was reacting to something. She shifted her shoulders uncomfortably, alleviating some of the pressure from the strap of her shoulder bag. 'Note to self', she thought, 'better diagnose this when we arrive at our rooms.'

The guard escorting them left and Aria was introduced to Gradian Marte, who led them to the ship. She quickly notices the third student, studied the fellow newcomer for a moment and quickly reached for her luggage as she began to stare at the scenery. Aria has never seen a place like this. She has heard of other sapient life from the far continents but never has she seen one in real life.

A pinprick sensation returned, enough to make Aria wince. The implant needs to be checked. Looking for a place to sit, she pulled out a USB cord and a diagnostic device from her shoulder bag. Rolling the collar of the blouse she wore, at the base of her neck sat a spider-like port. Using the small end of the USB cord, she connected it to the port and the larger end to the device.

-Connection Confirmed.
-Analyzing...

Aria sighed, she wanted to lean against the wall but she might sever the connection. She hopes the implant isn't faulty.

The weather was truly miserable, but that was to be expected on most humanoid worlds. The air was extremely dry, making for a prickling sensation on the Queen's skin as she breathed, and the light was rather intense. They did not even have shade for their paths. Navigating primarily on smell, she followed the Zarkenian man.

She was led to a place with two other students. One appeared to her to be an unfamiliar large rodent of sorts. The other student, introduced as Aria Tannhauser, was recognized by the sickish-sweet smell so familiar to all Wraith. It was most certainly a female human.

The Queen cocked her head and acknowledged the introductions with a huff of breath from her mouth and all nostrils. She turned and boarded the ship.

The Clank stood baffled before Sufan, as he did not understand the basic terms of informatics. She thought that he was from a warp-capable society like hers, but as the terms were so universal, she thought that his society have long surpassed computer architecture as she knows it, or they use an architecture distinct from the Von Neumann or the Harvard architectures. So she attempted to explain the terms.

"Sorry, Sufan, I did not know your civilization was so advanced. I will attempt to explain the best I can.

So a Clank, as I am a sentient bipedal robot. Sentient, is that I am capable for thinking alone, and making my own decisions, based on my current environment, what I know, and what my programming tells me. Bipedal, that I walk on two legs, and robot, as in an automated machine. As with other Clanks, I run on quantum-optic wiring, which constitutes an FPGA, which is an infinitely reprogrammable circuit board. Probably, you could have heard about circuits and optronics as a side note in ancient machines or xenotechnology, or the equivalent your nation has. Circuits could be what you use for simple things, like making a light glow. They run from a power source, what your people use, be it antimatter, stellar mining, black holes, dyson spheres, or exotic sources, like magic.

Clanks use antimatter as their power supply. And that's a reactor." - she pointed where her heart should be - "That's where I produce the power to run my systems by converting the atmosphere to iron, anti-iron, then annihilating them for power. It's rated at 3 grams/second, which gives me more than enough energy to run a Wand, which is like your replicators, the machines you use to convert energy to matter, or my psionic transciever, which enables my psionic powers, what you have naturally, like telekinesis, telepathy, and so on. However, I have reduced its power output to a few thousandths of it, as I'm malfunctioning, and I don't want an off-process melting it down, or overloading it to explode like a small nuclear warhead. Nuclear warheads were instruments of mass destruction, probably unknown in your peace-loving civilization. They were capable of inflicting serious harm to buildings, and if my reactor were to explode, it could turn approximately a hundred meter radius into plate glass, and destroy most things in a few kilometers. However, that's extremely unlikely.

And the memories. I have several memory banks, but it boils down basically to operating memory and hard drive. The operating memory is my short-term memory, where I store programs I'm running. Like where I compose my sentences, calculate my balance, and process what I see, hear and feel. Like when you would like to chill off and load a program in the Holodeck, or other virtual reality you have for gaming and training. However, it's volatile, and if it loses power, that corrupts the data in it. That's why I have the hard drive. Hard drive is a term for database storage. Where I store my memories, and where your people store their data, like when you did research for school, and downloaded data in a terminal, or from the Collective of your people. The system log is what I remember happening inside my systems. That's what the programmers, songstresses, sysadmins, or whatever computer professionals your people has use to trace what's the problem with the computers. When I said my memory was corrupted, it was because it lost power when I wanted to save it to my hard drive to remember that forever. But it became corrupted, and I couldn't do that, thus I can't remember what I said, but I could remember it's being corrupted, since system log entries are formed directly in the hard drive, so I could always remember, or at least guess them.

The emotional engine is what makes it possible for me to feel, as I'm not an organic to have feelings naturally." - she caressed her hair - "It's usually realized in my hair. You can see it's red, so all the gates are powered in case I would like to use some of them for other things. And it makes me sure that the gates are physically right, that is, they are not broken. If the engine would be fully functional and running, it would emit a white light. When I'm highly loaded, like when I have to think hard on something, like adapting to a new situation by reprogramming myself, I off-load some of my processes to the gates in my hair, thus it can get brighter and brighter.

I hope it was helpful."

The Clank smiled at Sufan at the end of her last sentence.

Capital City of Xevaris
Zarkenian Starport

Before leaving, Commander Retor heard Aiwendill's petition, and nodded, not seeing any inconvenience in her repairing her ship. "Very well, Ms. Aiwendill. Captain Garm's crew will help you repair your ship, but be sure to give them clear instructions, as the differences between our technology and yours might prove to be a difficult obstacle to remove. Now, if you'll excuse me..." He said, and then walked away.

Port City of Sylvas

Once everyone had boarded the CTV ship, Gradian instructed the operator to head towards the Xevaris Lift. Shortly afterwards the CTV began moving, the crystals below it's deck powering the machinery that allowed it to do so.

As the ship moved, Gradian looked up at the capital of Xevaris, the floating island. The ship soon entered the city's shadow, and continued advancing. Soon enough, the CTV arrived at the Xevaris' Lift, an enormous structure set over the sea that served the purpose of transporting people and objects from Xevaris to the Lift, and vice-versa. The Lift itself was a small town of sorts: It was large enough to house a small store, a couple watch towers, a Paladin Station, and several spots for ships to dock on. It was in one of these spots that the CTV, in which Gradian and the students were, docked.

"Alright, students, please follow me. This is the Xevaris Lift, it will take us up to the capital." Gradian said as he stepped out, the luggage hovering behind him. He walked over to the center of the Lift, where the actual lift was located: A large stone circle, surrounded by eight large, glowing, blue-colored Grisian Crystals. Gradian stepped onto the circle and deposited the luggage on the ground.

Once all of the students were standing with him, Gradian simply crossed his arms and closed his eyes. One by one, the eight blue Grisian Crystals around the stone circle began to spin. If the students hadn't done so, they would now notice tiny white crystals outlining the perimeter of the stone circle. This was made so that those afraid of heights would not panic. The white crystals, energized by the large, intricate system that was beneath the surface, emitted rays of light vertically, effectively surrounding the stone circle in a cage of light. The stone circle then began to lift off. This would be unnoticeable to the students. As it began ascending, the circle revealed that beneath it was a giant green Grisian Crystal, powered by the same system mentioned before. The circle itself ascended only thanks to this giant crystal.

Soon enough, the cage of light subsided, and the students were in a small empty entry room of sorts. Gradian promptly walked over to the double doors and opened them, revealing that they were now in the capital city of Xevaris.

"Well, students, please follow me. It won't be much longer until we reach the Imperial Academy."

Ingeborg looked in wonder at the crystalline objects. The way they could power just about anything mechanically was fascinating. Moreso, it gave off a spectacular lightshow to those who were not used to these kind of items, but the Zarkenian, well, she assumed that he dealt with these kind of crystal machines on a day-to-day basis. When the lift stopped, the lights faded away slowly. The entire place was stunning, contradicting all precepts of reality she knew of. When the double door opened, she was greeted with the capital city of Xevaris, situated on a magnificent floating island. How did the island float? She had no doubt it was something equally awesome as all the other magic she had come across during her first few hours in this country. The Zarkenian motioned for the students to follow, and she stepped out of the room that led to Xevaris. "How do those crystals work, if I may ask?" she asked the Zarkenian curiously.

Capital City of Xevaris
Path to the IAPA

As Gradian walked through the lively streets of Xevaris, leading the three new students to the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts of Zarkenis Ultima, he looked back at Ingeborg when he heard the macropodine address him with a question. He simple smiled and looked ahead once again, continuing to lead the students.

"So they caught your interest, didn't they?" He said to the girl. "These are Grisian Crystals, and they are an important part of our society, since they power a lot of our technology, as you have no doubt noticed." He stated, and then proceeded to explain. "Grisian Crystals are special crystals only found in the continent of Griscore, with the special property that they react when stimulated, generating forms of energy related to their color. Red crystals generate thermic energy, yellow crystals generate electric energy, and so on and so forth." He explained. "Does that answer your question?"

Aria Tannhaser
Streets of Xevaris

Diagnostic Complete.
Resolving Issues...
Done.
You may disconnect.

Sighing in relief that the implant was not faulty, Aria disconnected herself from the Diagnostic Device, stood up and followed the rest of the students to the streets. She looked at the crystals with awe as they pass through them. They soon entered the lift, and felt the lift rose to the capital city. "Whoa..." Aria muttered when she saw the size of the city.

Its a few seconds later when she realizes that she was left behind by the group. Grabbing her things, she caught on with the group.

OOC: Yeah, short post. I know.
This nation is now being retired.
Good-night, sweet prince.

Still having not spoken to anyone, the Wraith Queen stared at the crystalline objects, and then at the massive city. Her eyes had slowly adjusted to the brightness and she was now closely observing both the Zarkenian world and her companions. A light flutter in her mind informed her that the Wraith transport was preparing to leave and return to its hiveship.

She kept a firm grasp on the minds of her fellow Wraith until they finally slipped away out of range. Then, she snapped her gaze rather abruptly to the rodent-like creature.

"Ingeborg Wudar Portar," she said, in a low, multi-tonal voice. Her accent seemed to stretch vowel sounds. She flicked bronze eyes towards the human. "And Aria Tannhauser. It appears as if we will be acquaintances." She focused her eyes back on Ingeborg.

Aria Tannhauser
Streets of Xevaris

Aria nodded in agreement with the Queen. "Yes, it would seem so." she replied. She immediately recognized her as a Wraith. Aria's people have encountered them during one occasion. They were rumoured to be the ones responsible for the disappearance of a Science Ship the Meritocratic States owns. She became worried that she might be the next victim "Y-you're not going to eat me right?"

Warning.
Wraith in direct proximity.

The low-pitched Proximity Alarm rang on her mind. Aria finds herself in a potentially dangerous situation. Hopefully, the Queen is not hungry.
