Maven chuckled and shook his head. "If she succeeds in killing me, go right ahead in a blaze of mighty glory. However it is my belief that there is still not enough to act. We need evidence that Hippostania is murdering and targeting communists specifically and we need a defined body count. That would require a risk that I'm not sure anyone except someone as crazy as me to do which would be to go to Hippostania itself and find out and it would require a person who is willing to go into the heart of the beast. "Perhaps our own House De Luna could help you with this? Surely you have heard of their reputation with collecting such material. Tell me you have, I'm sure Carson would have told you by this point."

"In our many times sampling the delights of the Wolf's Tear Tavern and the Griffon's Wing? Of course Carson has, but I told him the same thing I will tell you now. Carceno is a Coalition nation like ourselves and it stands to lose allies if it seems like we are attacking, plotting or striking at them or doing something wrong in general. Hippostania has long been in the coalition, and even though they deserve no respect for their conduct, they have the power to rally the ponyists and they will act under the Hippostanian banner, and once they do that they will kill those who stand against them. If Hippostania acts as an aggressor or the truth is found about the shenanigans behind the disappearances of the whole spectrum of leftists, then it will be clear that the Coalition will more likely abstain from involvement. They will be the ones to stand back and allow for justice to fall. It is why I will stand back and wait, but how long, I fear, can I wait before the blade of betrayal will strike me down? I cannot tell, but I know striking first will be fatal, so we're at a stalemate. There will have to be a tipping point. We don't know what that is." Maven said as he cleared his throat and nodded at the Crystalcliff Point delegate.

Stephen sits quietly during all of the recent exchanges, listening intently until a messenger taps him on the shoulder and hands him another communique, he frowns as he begins to read into it further.

Crown Prince William opened his eyes from a quick nap and joined in the discussion. 'Fellas, I'm sorry about dropping off. It's a lot of work, trying to be attentive through all this.' He yawned, and went on. 'So, from the fragments of discussion I heard while I was waking up, it seems as if Hippostania has launched another crackdown. Even though I'm probably jumping on it a bit quick, the best thing to do is first get some reliable information, and if that is correct, take action. We can't sit back and use diplomacy over and over again, because nations like Hippostania don't listen. We should take action as soon as the intel is confirmed. We just can't stand back and watch people being persecuted. We shouldn't just send harshly worded letters with sanctions and what not. Major action is what is needed.' He sipped a glass of water, and slumped in the back of his chair.

He noticed from the corner of his eye that the delegate from Skallen seemed a bit tense. Being the nosey person he was, William asked him something calmly. 'What's up? You seem stressed. If it's just the meeting, yeah, these meetings can put a bit of strain on you.' He chuckled.

Maven said as he raised his eyebrow.
