I would actually have expected Lyra to be weary of atheists as well seeing as how Karl Marx was a strong atheist who believed religion to be an elitist tool to control the masses, and Lyra would probably say that would be more proof of the deceitful, amoral nature of communists or some such.

In YellowApple at least Ponyism isn't connected to being an Equus sapiens, nor vice versa, so in theory ponies can be Christian, Buddhist, Ponyist, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Taoist, Wiccan, etc. There are actually approximately equal numbers of Buddhists and Spiritual Ponyists among the YellowApplan equine population at this point, seeing that both faiths are quite compatible with one another philosophically. Most YellowApplans follow Secular Ponyism as an extension to their philosophical beliefs, though.

No. I've had some experience with RPing with him. During a colonization RP he squandered something like 10,000 troops for the express purpose of killing tribal natives. Then he got offended when I questioned the strategic, military, and economic value of such a frivolous activity. He later declared war on me, despite my nation being almost one hundred times bigger than his.

His RP style is the reason I did not bother reporting his slaughter of natives to the U.E.F.
