Okay, my call then? I say he be accepted provisionally as an observer so we can be sure their intentions are pure, and then we can discuss membership reapplication. If the USSW has changed their position on ponyists and other non saurian creatures I see little problem. Grace period granted, but we have to be wary. Ah yes and I say aye on the other applications.

I believe in forgiveness, and the USSW did openly apologize to the CoPS. The sincerity of that apology has a bearing on why I said the observer status is provisional. If they mean it, then I will bear no ill will and give a second chance to redeem themselves. If it is not sincere and there are racial rights violations they will be booted.

Don't shoot the messenger. I am telling you exactly what I was told. And the solution can be simple. We wait for their return so they can explain themselves, and how their policy has changed and ask for specific details. We will still boot them if they conduct violations of any kind. Furthermore, by making their violations known to us, it puts them on the top of the list to act against.

Also a friendly reminder to everyone!

We reserve the right to boot anyone should speciesist elements or open violations of the Charter be demonstrable. I really do understand GPH's concerns with Whairtia and I can demonstrate it with my earlier hesitation, but as I said with the Mackonian delegate and those who refused to adopt the Charter IC, if we have reason to believe that Speciesist elements exist and have failed to be curbed, we will eject offenders. Given that the last IC statement I remember seeing of Whairtia about Ponyism was an open apology, (speaking for myself here obviously, I don't dog his posts, and unless I am there IC I shouldn't know about it.) therefore that is why I said a provisional observer status.

However due to the open lack of remorse, I think I will have to change that. It seems USSW still hasn't learned. I further redact my statement given new evidence and say we should definitely discuss sanctions against USSW in the summit and deny any membership and observership.

All beings (like moo cows, chickens, fish) are sentient, but they're not sapient. Carnivores can't avoid eating sentient beings, but they can avoid eating sapient beings. A sad fact of nature, that.
