King Charles IV walked quietly over to his desk in the Palais Royale, and quickly pulled a sheet of paper from a drawer and called for a messenger. The letter said:
Your Most Serene Highness,
It would give me great pleasure in adressing you, Emperor Alfonso, at the Palais Royale in St. Louis over some matters of importance crucial to both of our countries. I would be very pleased if you would consider such an invitation, and I'm sure that the Islands of St Louis would love to welcome you to our beautiful country.
Sincerely,
CHARLES IV
King of the Islands of St Louis
Then King Charles handed the letter to the messenger and headed off to adress his Cabinet.
