The Void's Epic is, in a nutshell, a character based roleplaying game (duh) based(originally) in the fictional world of Tath. The characters that you may play are known as Heroes, or warriors with skillsets that are encoded in their blood, skills that they are born with. Players can also play as one of the Gods in the very beginning and help them create the world of Tath as it becomes to be known.
If this introduction paragraph was horrible enough to drive you away, the door is behind you. For those that are interested in reading the full details and development behind this roleplay that has been in the making for around three months, continue on below brave writer
The Void
At this time, no one knows who or what exactly the Void is. All that is known is that in the beginning, there was the Higher Plane, populated by the Gods and then the Void, on the far reaches of existence. One day, the Void, from which Era had come from, spit out creatures of vile and destruction and they went after the creations and wonders of the gods, destroying all in their path. After many a mighty battle, worthy of eons of song and praise, the Gods banded together and they defeated the demons of the Void and with the power of Era, they sealed the Void and forever closed it, only usage being for the Gods to use it's power to fuel them.
The World of Tath- The Lower Plane
Tath is a unique world that may sound similar to another one that you may know of. Tath, like one we all so know, is covered somewhat and for the most part in water, that valuable resource. There are two major continents that dominate the majority of the planet, with an large ocean in the middle, separating the two continents, named Ferald and Keltgas respectively. Environmentally and landscape wise, the two continents are almost alike in the sense that both are for the most part largely forested or grasslands with the random lake and ponds spotted throughout. They also both have a desert, quite small as it's mostly just near the northern coast, that is on the northern most part of the continents.
The Higher Plane
There was once a common name for this world, however after the battle against the Void, it was lost along with all life on the Plane. At the height of it's glory, it was inhabited by many races, from the woodland creatures to other things that were beyond the comprehension of the Gods even. And yet, they were all wiped out by the demons and destruction of the Void. The earth and land grew back, but the life didn't.
The Gods of Tath
The Gods of Tath are an interesting bunch. They were the first beings, created by Era in the First Light. With the power that Era gave them, the power to harness the powers of the Void, they created the Higher Plane, the plane that the gods live on. However, after years of wastefulness, their power began to wane and they yearned for a new world, a world filled with life to worship them and look down on. And so, they gathered together for the first time in an age and using the last reserves of their power, created the Lower Plane, or the World of Tath as the common being knows it. Adding to the Lower Plane, each god created their own sentient being, these beings in turn would inhabit the land and fill it with life. In return for their creation, they would worship the gods, the worship that the gods reveled in.
In terms of power, each god has their strengths and weaknesses, with each god having power over a certain area of influence. Each god also has a symbol of power, unique to each god. It does not have a set shape or definition, for it is what it's owning god wishes it to be. Should a god's symbol of power be stolen, taken or captured in any way, said god would be severally diminished in power and if already weak, could be
"destroyed" all together.
On the subject of destruction of gods, a god can not truly die. Their power can wane, their form can fade, they can all but vanish from the earth, however they can not die. Not unless the very area of being, of creation that they see over all together vanishes.
Each god also has their own "realm" in which is their location of living. Some might have an extravagant castle, filled with light and joy. Others might have some foreboding dungeon or underground lair, filled with darkness and despair. Their realm and it's state is reflected from the god and their state. If they are in turmoil, so is their home. If they are weak, so is their home

Heroes of Tath
The Heroes of Tath are humans or members of one of the races created by the Gods that were endowed with certain powers by the Gods to help guard and protect the Lower Plane following the God's recovery and subsequent abandonment of the Lower Plane for the most part (This part isn't true until after our little war).
Each Hero trains and hones his powers in three areas, Magyk which was gifted to the races by Synthia and Nuru. Strength, which was gifted to the Heroes by Agni and Telros and then Skill, gifted to them by Nerikh. Each Hero has special powers, being able to survive longer years then their comrades. They aren't immortal like the Gods, but very few die of old age with most dying at the point of a sword.
The Heroes are overseen by a Chief, who is elected or chosen from amongst them. The Heroes meet annually at the Convention which is held at the Grove, the spot the Gods descended to in order to create the Lower Plane and the life the populates it. At this they are given orders for which they mostly work on completely for the entire year for travel is limited and the world of Tath is vast
