Meanwhile, does anyone know how the hell, in Modern Warfare 3, the Russians managed to invade all of Europe seemingly at once? I mean, I'd at least stretch that out over a week-long plan or something...

Me thinks Russia regained Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic during the events of MW1. Given that they already have a head start, plowing through the weak armed forces of Eastern Europe should not have been much of an issue.

I don't see why I should lose Hawaii...
Sure, that's a way to start the war, but I had understood the war was going to begin in Europe, not America. If that is the story...

As for MW3, I would love to know how they managed to attack the States in MW2. Don't "Oh, they had the codes" me. The United States is an amazingly paranoid nation. The moment their satellite goes down, Command goes, "Shit, change the codes!"

Not to mention it is amazingly difficult to break into an American satellite system, and, by the time they deployed Task Force One Forty One, they would be like, "Shit, these Americans are really fucking paranoid."

I'm not saying you can't attack the States. You can go head-on against the US, regardless of the fact they'll know exactly where you are some 20-40 miles away from the coasts. Or, in fact, you could pop an EMP over the States and attack. You're not guaranteed that the States won't strike back sixteen times harder, but...hey, whatever bro.

Also, I will have you know this argument was no begun via patriotism and love for the US. It is me being realistic. I've not looked at it, and, unless the States as a real way to break into Russia in MW3, I'll likely wave my hand at them again.

As for how they invaded Europe, the previous assumption sounds plausible, though I would recognize their end to an endless slaughter of European forces around Germany.
I foresee what occurs, should the invasion of the US not have occurred:

Russia invades Germany.
Germany fights
France enters fight in Germany
UK enters fight in Germany
Spain(?) enters fight in Germany
US enters fight in Germany
Other allies enter fight in Germany
Russia shits and runs.

No offense, Emp. Not saying the Russian military sucks, it's just not really noticeable against the overall military powers of the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and whatever other countries that join. There is a way for Russia to win, of course. They already launched one nuke...
