Name of State: The Steamwheedle Cartel
Number of Ponies Living Withing Your State: The cartel seldom holds census so anything other than a vague approximation is impossible. The most widely accepted number is rather negligible.
Do Ponies Act As a Major Part of Your Nation's Economy or Military?: No, primarily due to the lack of pony residents (and the lack of a funded Cartel army). However they are not actively discriminated against in social policy.
Do Ponies Have Equal Rights in Your Nation?: Yes.

We would like to sign on as a Protector nation.

If I may interject, it seems that your problem is with any thread that places any of the blame for the start of the conflict on ponies, which you keep on some untouchable pedestal, rather than blaming those damn intolerant humans.

If I may say so, I've had bloody well enough. I give a damn's worth to the question of who started it. If people can't leave each other alone, I may consider some actions that cannot be divulged.

Considering that the leader of AAPS, Fantoa, is ICly under YellowApplan/Marshite occupation, and that most of the member nations here can easily steamroll many of the member nations there, I'm betting my money on us.

Of course, that would require us to actually acknowledge the existence of AAPS, which I do not.

That is indeed a far better anti-pony thread than 99% of what I see in NationStates.

Vorshka wrote:so if a nation bans or kills ponies you ignore it?

Not if they actually have a valid reason to do so other than an OOC hatred of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and they actually RP maturely. The vast majority of the AAPS does not meet even one of those requirements.

OOC:

Having read the AAPS summit thread, I have to admit...I don't like the idea of RPing with any of them. Just from an OOC perspective, I can tell I won't. Poor grammar, being a good sign, and just...no reason to hate ponies other than they exist.

I'm all for roleplaying with an anti-ponyist state....as long as they can prove to be good roleplayers. So far, I've not seen anything that would imply that I'd enjoy a roleplay with them. As such, they get the ignore cannon.

OOC: I agree with this. CoPS has nothing to do with AAPS, effective immediately.

Ultimately, Ponyist states have the freedom to RP what they wish, and anti-Ponyist states have the freedom to RP what they wish. It doesn't have to be an intermingling exchange between the two of you guys. If you guys cannot get along with each other, then just don't talk to each other. Let's just demarcate and leave each group to their own corner and allow them the freedom to RP however they wish.

If you cannot get along, then don't try to cause problems for the others. Just leave.

@GPH please outline how the religious nutcase anti-pony thread is more legitimate then other anti-pony threads also i have never actually said lolz i killz 1OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PONEZH i just am against ponyism
and made a perfectly decent request to GPH and the pony Reich of hippostania to extradite some terrorist's which was then ignored without reason by the CoPS.It would help if Ponyists would tell me how one capitalist anti-pony thread is better then a socialist anti-pony thread?

What are you referring to?

Greater Mackonia wrote:and made a perfectly decent request to GPH and the pony Reich of hippostania to extradite some terrorist's which was then ignored without reason by the CoPS.

Because claiming that another nation's citizens have committed acts of terrorism in your nation without first negotiating it over TG is godmod and overall absurd and we had all the rights to ignore the thread

I had a war with COPS, and I didn't pull ponies out of my arse.

If we could temper these anti-pony guys down and organise them into a proper IC thread where war is started for a reason rather than a semi OOC/IC unprovoked pony genocide then it could work.
Vorradia. A place where freedom is a fading memory. At the heart of the sprawling, embattled province lies Imperial City. Or as the city is really called by the poor souls who inhabit it: Forsaken Hope. Here they suffer under a fanatically religious totalitarian regime. Outside the city walls lies a frozen and inhospitable wasteland. The people here live free from government control, but at a terrible price. They live in small nomadic communities, struggling to survive in the harsh climate.

I saw the thread for that I believe. Unforutnately, it was before my time in CoPS and as such, I couldn't join...alas.

I'm all for forging the anti-pony people into a proper RP, but...reading their summit thread? I just don't see any fun RP coming out of participating.

Is it because their new that they have little rp skill? Well then its a perfect opportunity to tell many nations a lot of info about your nation in depth.

That war was a great way to tel people in great detail about vorradia.

newcomers would be encouraged by the chance to be recognised.

and as for their skill, I looked at several rps before I did my first big post. It helped. That post kickstarted it.

Then again, as lubyak said, is they are all complete pony hating maniacs frothing at the mouth for pony blood, then it probably wont turn out very well.

They will probably all be competing for biggest pony genocides or something, rather than fighting a proper war.

All great. Except for one thing. They don't care about telling a story, about the fun of RPing. They care only about expressing their OOC sentiments for the show. Sad.

it was painful to see that thread die.

I spent such a long time fleshing out and storytelling my nation with those handful of nations that I almost dont want to start another RP for having to do it all again.

Yeeeeah. Looking at it now probably going "fuck you I've got nukes" was rather a dick move.

However, for fleshing out your nation...wouldn't a factbook do the trick?

yeah, but most people probably wont look at it, and those who do wont absorb it as well if it isn't woven into a story or something that relates to them.

I do have a factbook. Unfortunately I dont know how to put in links. Otherwise I would put it in my sig. Im crap with computers.

The others have lost all interest by now. But Im pleased enough with it. It went on quite a while.

I have a feeling starting a new one wouldn't be very succsesful.

Maybe if we put up an OOC thread or something and more people marked their interest.
