Fellow CoPS Nations,

Today is a great day in the making, for not only does our country recognize and embrace our roots trailing from the Hellenistic times, we embrace the fact that the divides between our people are shattered! In contrast to the Declaration of Seperation, no more shall humans, ponies, nor doves be segregated and treated as strangers to one another, for we shall unite and bond our strong people through the virtues of unity, prosperity, and strength! Our nation will be undergoing a large reform in many aspects, such as:

Government: We will be adopting a democratic, pacifist, civil-minded and politically free Roman-styled government, with our emperor, Edward I, as the head of state. Our national leader will be Chief Senator Ryan Manning, and I am currently his second in command, the Secondary Chief Senator, or Secondary Chief. Our government will have a cabinet of twenty-four senators, and our lower branches will be the Noble, Cavalier, and Civilian branches, all governing their respective provinces, cities, and towns. Our supreme branch consists of the Chief Senator, the Secondary Chief, and the Ministers of Economy, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Civil Rights, Administration, and Law. Chief Senatorial elections will be held every five years, with the three main parties: The Liberal, Pacifist, and Conservative Parties of Conclespia sending candidates out to represent the parties. Citizens may vote for one candidate, and elections will be hosted at June 1 to August 1.

Military: Our defense forces will be adopting a Roman-era organization system, with the precision and disciplined drilling that will be embedded into all of our soldiers. We will be transitioning from using divisions, brigades, regiments, and companies to using legions, cohorts, and centuries. We will be updating all of our land, air, and sea based defense forces and systems. We now allow humans, ponies, and doves from all across Conclespia to join our defense force, as part of the counter-discriminatory act that has been initiated just yesterday. We will be updating our air force and navy with the most recent state-of-the-art aircraft and ships, as well as new vehicles, weapons, gear, and defense systems for our army. The marine forces will be working side by side with the navy, as part of counter-terrorist or foreign peacekeeping missions with our allies and the Coalition of Ponyist States. Our military’s purpose will stay the same: to protect Conclespia’s sovereignty inside our borders, as well as to assist our allies in times of need.

Environment: No more shall we continue to cut down our nation’s beautiful forests, pollute our clean lakes, or omit toxic fumes into our wonderful atmosphere, we shall be transitioning to eco-friendly ways of disposing and recycling trash, as well as laying down restrictions and laws that make companies refrain from harming our wildlife and ecosystem. Companies will begin a process of changing their products to not harm the environment, and laws will be enacted as to which animals will be allowed for hunting and consuming, and which animals will not.

People’s Welfare: We will be putting more of the government spending into education, welfare, public transport, as well as the underfunded police force, which will hopefully bring joy and happiness into citizens’ everyday lives. Police forces will only be involved in crime and local problems, and will not be authorized to intrude into citizens’ personal issues/lives unless given explicit permission from the citizen themselves. The education system will involve a variety of multi-cultural studies, maths, science, Conclespian as well as other Language Arts, music, physical education, and a study of our nation’s history and involvement in current world issues. Our welfare program will be helping all the unemployed find jobs to sustain a living, and our aim is to see the unemployment rate dropping gradually. Our revamp of the public transport system will include a full scale bus, subway/MRT, and personal vehicle facilities inside every major city. Our next step will be to expand the systems to the more rural, localized towns and counties, then to initiate a nation-wide transport system to each city and inside the cities.

Culture: While Conclespian society will remain 99 percent as it was before, several subtle, small changes in architecture and urban design as well as clothing may be found in cities and towns, such as the occasional construction of a Roman-styled government building in the city center or the selling of togas and sandals in several clothing companies. Small additions in beverages and drinks in several restaurants can be found as well.

Economy: Our economy will be remaining the same: a capitalist, free market. The only real differences will be the environmental restrictions put on corporations, but everything else will be unchanged.

Foreign Affairs: We will be maintaining our current relations with the international community; such as our involvement in the Coalition of Ponyist States and our close ties with the nations inside of the CoPS.
