What state are you in? Our school computers run Windows 7 and OSX Lion. Yes, I go to a public school. Went rather.

In order: Dugal puts the feeling his self centered because his limited ability to communicate with others, stand offishness, and other such quirks to his person.

As for the state, I'd prefer not to say, because it is the same state as Chaos lives, but Alice is right on the money, while the school isn't exactly 'Underfunded', they don't exactly have a lot of it to go around for the tech people like me... enough for the sports people (Neglecting the only one I've been apart of, Track and Field) but not enough to have a majority of the computers running anything better than Vista (and that's only a few of them)

Exactly. Football and basketball are extremely well funded in our school, but all tech programs and the sports I like (Marching Band [yes, it is a sport] and Martial Arts) are neglected severely. We almost had to cut the fine arts programs we have this year.
I am the Rose hidden in the Thorns. Listen to my call, for the is what summons either Heaven or Hell.
Sing to me one song for joy and one for redemption and whatever's in between that I call my own
"Uggg......"
"Why did you say that?"
"Tis time for MATH...."
"But Math is fun?"
"Not this early in the morning"
"It's five in the Afternoo-"
"Shut up!" *hurls axe*
" You missed"
*throws table*
"You missed again"
*Shoots in the face*
*is dead*

Marching Band [yes, it is a sport].

Gotta disagree. It's music, falling under the Fine Arts. The main sports in schools are basketball, football, wrestling, baseball, and volleyball (girls). Marching Band is not a sport and neither is cheerleading. No matter how much anyone tells you it is, those are not sports.

"Nothing is okay anymore. But I'll survive. Like I always have."

Totally imagined Linkin Park - Crawling Lyrics in the background there. Anyway:

Besides not returning the question and asking Melody how she is, he also isn't showing any feelings of brotherly love for Melody. It's like he doesn't give a shit about her. I was under the impression that Dugal was one of the very few people Melody truly cared about, and vice versa. They haven't seen one another in a month. Everyone she loves is going to war. Against her father. Who left her when she was a baby. And who is working together with a genocidal maniac who apparantly wants to uplift some cosmic horror to godhood.

Where's the love, man? Where's the love?

You've force my hand, I hope you know that

But yeah, Dugal is very stony about everything he is in, I mean I doubt I wouldn't do just that, shut down emotionally to protect myself (I do that now for christ sake) but it seems weird for him to act like this

Hmmm... The post for the first time Vlad and Her fucked was just before the Genocide of Paris, so I am assuming it happened in the same night, until Aggy gives a time and date for the genocide of Paris, I will guess that she is 7-9 months pregnant, given the 5 month skip from 1 to 2, and the month skip from 2 to 3

Oh boy! We get to RP a birth, this should be neat

Oh, Aggy, I was flipping through Ben-Hur and found a line you may or may not like/ beable to do something with:

'Where there is greatness, great government or power, even great feeling or compassion, error also is great. We've progressed and matured by fault. But Rome has said she is ready to join your life to hers in a great future...not to crucify yourself on a shadow such as old resentment or impossible loyalties. Perfect freedom has no existence. The grown man knows the world he lives in, and for the present, the world is Rome'

Interesting quote, but it's fairly meaningless without some context.

Agadar wrote:Interesting quote, but it's fairly meaningless without some context.

... It's Ben-Hur... that's all the context that is required... *sigh*... Guess I need to go through a crash course of Old Literature and Early Film-Making again to explain it...

Ben-Hur was a book first published in 1880, and became the most popular brand of Christian Fanfiction, even being blessed by Pope Leo XIII.

It is the story of one of the first Christians, Judah Ben-Hur in the 1st century, and his struggle with a life time friend (named Messala) who has become a Commanding Officer among the Roman Legionaries. Shit goes down, Ben is sentenced to be worked to death without a trial (by Messala), but a carpenter gives him water before he keeled over and died, he escapes, and returns to Jerusalem seeking revenge.

Meanwhile, is the story of Jesus, which he runs parallel too, and decides to become christian after the Crucifixion and thusly realizing Revenga is wrong.

It was adapted into a 1925 silent film, then remade in 1959 with sound, which won 11 academy awards including best picture.

That particular line comes from the character Pontius Pilate, a prefect to Emperor Tiberius, after Ben-Hur came to Roma seeking blood (due to his innocent family being banished to a village of lepers) and states this: "I have just come from the Valley of Stone. My mother and sister live what's left of their lives. By Rome's will, lepers, outcasts without hope...Their flesh...carries Rome's mark...the deed was not Messala's. I knew him, well, before the cruelty of Rome spread in his blood. Rome destroyed Messala as surely as Rome has destroyed my family."

To which Pontius replied with that

...

*hits head on a wall* ... No... Your thinking of Hannibal, son of Hamilcar Barca... Ben is a fictional character in a book called Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ, and the protagonist of two movies from 1925 and 1959...
