Televote Spreadsheet & WV102
Congratulations to the winner of the 101st WorldVision Song Contest - Ertzei Kishim, well done for winning your seventh title. A hearty congratulations for the host, Besen too!
The
Televote Spreadsheet can be found by clicking that link - I hope you enjoy a good browse of that.
..also...SIGN UPS TO WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST 102 ARE OPENSpiritual Republic of Caryton failed to vote with both nations in both the jury and televote resulting in two strikes. This means receive a one-edition ban and thus ineligible to participate at the 102nd WorldVision Song Contest.
Australe has received a strike for not voting in either the jury or televote, but can participate at the 102nd WorldVision Song Contest.
An
extra week has been added onto the start of the contest as the committee review will happen during the first week of the contest. During this week, we will discuss matters that we brought up in our manifesto, or other issues raised by members of the community. We will vote on these matters before continuing the contest as normal. This means potential bidders and those wanting to sign up have an extra week. Decisions made will directly affect WV102 onwards.
Upon calculating the televote for the 101st WorldVision Song Contest, I noticed that the spreadsheet does not account for nations who failed to vote, but had received jury points. This meant in past editions of the contest, potentially the number of points allocated in the jury (after disqualification of non voters) did not match the number of points allocated in the televote. The result of the 101st WorldVision Song Contest is final and you can see on the final page that the number of points are equal, and this is a feature that will remain on the spreadsheet going forwards. During the committee review an investigation, conducted by me, will see me going through past editions of the contest to check whether there has been an equal 50/50 split between the Jury & Televote, and I will attempt to rectify the issue (official results will be uploaded to the wiki). For more information, feel free to @ me on discord or send me a telegramme (bare in mind I am the one conducting the investigation).
